New Skincare Breakthrough: Bake Cosmetics’ 2% Salicylic Acid Soap Becomes a Cult Favorite for Acne Relief

In a world flooded with skincare solutions, one product is making unexpected waves on social media and skincare blogs alike — Bake Cosmetics' 2% Salicylic Acid Soap, now offered in a convenient pack of two. From dermatologists to TikTok influencers, this no-frills acne-fighting bar has become a surprise favorite among consumers seeking fast, affordable relief from breakouts.

A Simple Bar With a Powerful Punch

What sets this soap apart? Its active ingredient: 2% salicylic acid, a dermatologist-recommended beta hydroxy acid (BHA) that unclogs pores, reduces inflammation, and gently exfoliates the skin. Unlike harsh acne cleansers that strip the skin’s moisture barrier, Bake’s formulation balances effectiveness with skin-friendly ingredients — making it suitable for oily, acne-prone, and even combination skin types.

"People are shocked at how quickly they see results," says Anjali Mehra, a skincare content creator who featured the soap in her recent “Summer Acne Solutions” roundup on Instagram. "It’s affordable, it’s clean, and it works. What more could you ask for?"

Backed by a Loyal Following

Since its launch, the soap has earned praise from beauty influencers and everyday users alike. On Reddit’s r/SkincareAddiction, users have dubbed it a “hidden gem,” with dozens claiming it reduced hormonal acne and blackheads within days of use.

Online reviews highlight key benefits:

  • Fewer breakouts and visibly smaller pores
  • Reduced redness and irritation over time
  • Gentle enough for daily use — even on the body

Clean Beauty, Clear Skin

True to Bake Cosmetics' mission, the soap is cruelty-free, fragrance-free, and free from sulfates and parabens — aligning with the growing demand for minimalist, ethical skincare.

“Our customers want simple, effective products they can trust,” says Neha Bakshi, founder of Bake Cosmetics. “This soap was designed to be powerful yet gentle. It’s for real people with real skin issues.”

A Must-Have for Summer 2025

With the arrival of hot, humid weather — a prime time for breakouts — the 2% Salicylic Acid Soap is quickly becoming a seasonal must-have. Whether used on the face, chest, or back, it's an easy addition to any skincare routine.

For those who battle body acne or maskne, the soap’s gentle lather offers a convenient, mess-free alternative to expensive serums or harsh scrubs.

“Keetanu – The Germ”: A Film or a Harsh Social Reality Under Fire?

Mumbai – Even before its official screening, the short film “Keetanu – The Germ” has already stirred waves of controversy in film and social circles. Shot entirely in black and white and featuring no dialogues, the film by Neelu Chopra and co-director Ranju Cycloney has been hailed as bold by some — but deeply problematic by others.

The Core of the Controversy: Art or Exploitation?

While many are applauding the film as a "new wave of cinematic expression", several critics and social organizations are questioning its intent. The story revolves around drug-addicted ragpickers and society’s marginalized, portrayed in an intensely raw and bleak light.

Some activists argue that the film romanticizes or exploits the pain of the underprivileged, turning real-life suffering into a dramatic spectacle for awards and acclaim, rather than driving actual awareness or change.

No Dialogue, Yet Too Much To Say?

The filmmakers claim the absence of dialogue is meant to amplify the emotional weight of the visuals. But critics argue that silence in a socially charged subject like addiction may confuse audiences, or worse, strip the characters of their voice — literally and symbolically.

“This isn’t silence for artistic effect — this is silence that mutes an entire community,” one reviewer noted.

 Shooting Locations Spark Backlash

The film was shot in Versova and Madh Jetty in Mumbai — areas close to slum dwellings and underprivileged populations. Allegations have surfaced that local residents were not properly consulted or compensated, leading to discontent within those communities. Some claim the film used these real-life locations without contextual sensitivity.

Filmmakers Respond: “We’re Just Holding Up a Mirror”

In her defense, Neelu Chopra stated in an interview:

> “Our goal was never to offend — we’re simply showing the harsh truth. If it’s uncomfortable, maybe it’s because it needs to be seen.”

Still, questions persist: Does cinema have a responsibility to protect the dignity of its subjects, even in fiction?

 Critics Divided, Debate Intensifies

Some cinephiles call the film a raw masterpiece, a “silent scream” of those whose stories are never told. Others see it as a calculated move to win critical attention by portraying poverty and addiction through a stylized lens.

The absence of spoken words hasn’t silenced the noise — if anything, it’s made the conversation louder, sharper, and far more polarized.

Conclusion: The Film is Silent, But the Controversy is Not

“Keetanu – The Germ” might be a short film, but the storm it has created is anything but small. Whether it’s art, exploitation, or activism in disguise — one thing is certain:

*The Hidden Price of Convenience: How Quick Meals Are Quietly Raising Your Blood Pressure*

Health

Dr Satrajit Samanta , Consultant, Interventional Cardiologist, Narayana Hospital, Barasat.

In today’s busy world, convenience foods have become a trusted ally. Ready-to-eat meals,

frozen dinners, packaged snacks, and fast-food options are designed to fit into our fast-paced lives. But behind their appeal lies a hidden threat, excessive sodium, which is a major driver of

hypertension, or high blood pressure. Hypertension is often called the ‘silent killer’ because it can develop without warning signs, quietly

damaging the heart, brain and kidneys. What many people do not realise is the extent to which convenience foods contribute to this growing health issue.Manufacturers pack processed foods with large amounts of sodium to enhance flavour, preserve freshness and extend shelf life. While salt makes these foods taste good and seem

more satisfying, it comes at a serious cost to our health. More than 70 per cent of the sodium.we consume is not from the salt we sprinkle on our meals, it is already hidden inside the foods we buy. This means even those who think they are eating ‘normally’ may unknowingly consume

two or three times above the recommended daily limit of sodium, setting the stage for high blood pressure to develop.

How Sodium Quietly Raises Blood Pressure Excessive sodium intake causes the body to retain water, which increases the volume of blood flowing through blood vessels. This added volume puts extra strain on the heart and arteries, forcing them to work harder and harder. Over time, the walls of the blood vessels stiffen and narrow, leading to persistently high blood pressure. Left unchecked, hypertension increases the

risk of heart attacks, strokes, kidney disease, and other serious conditions. What's alarming is that many people may be undermining their health without any clear symptoms, one salty meal

at a time.

Alarmingly, sodium often hides where we least expect it to. Foods like breads, cereals, canned vegetables, deli meats, and even some so-called ‘health foods’ can be packed with sodium, even if they don’t taste particularly salty. This stealthy presence makes it even harder for individuals to gauge how much sodium they are consuming.

Reclaiming Control Over Your Plate. The good news is that small, conscious changes can have a powerful impact on our health.

Choosing fresh fruits, vegetables, and minimally processed foods over packaged meals helps

limit sodium intake naturally. Cooking meals at home whenever possible gives you full control over what goes into your food. Learning to read nutrition labels can open your eyes to hidden sodium content, while using herbs, spices, lemon, or vinegar can bring out natural flavours.

without relying on salt. Even when dining out, small choices, like asking for dressings and

sauces on the side or opting for grilled instead of fried items, can make a big difference.

Hypertension does not develop overnight. It is the result of years of small, repeated exposure to

excess sodium and other lifestyle risks. But just as it builds gradually, it can also be prevented, or even reversed, through steady, mindful changes. Convenience has its place in modern life, but it should not come at the cost of our long-term health. By making informed choices today,

you can protect your blood pressure and your heart for years to come.

Convenience foods offer short-term ease, but when it comes to your health, they may carry a hidden, long-term cost. Choosing fresh, wholesome options more often isn't about sacrificing convenience; it's about valuing your life and your future just as much as your time.

Rajveer X India’s Luxury Drive has emerged as a groundbreaking digital movement and luxury travel sensation, capturing national attention and dominating online media. This historic journey, driven by Rajveer Singh is India’s first and only 10,101 km in a luxury caravan expedition where a solo content creator experienced a staycation at every single property of one hotel group—The LaLiT Group —across the country.

Flagged off from The LaLiT Mumbai on April 13, the drive remained true to its planned route even after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22. Rajveer continued his journey with undeterred spirit, visiting The LaLiT Srinagar from May 4 to 6, boldly portraying Kashmir’s beauty and hospitality to the world.

On May 7, while traveling from Kashmir toward Kartarpur, he witnessed Operation Sindoor—a strategic Indian security operation. Just a day later, in Amritsar at 2 AM on May 8, Rajveer experienced a blackout caused by Pakistan’s drone attack, which was neutralized by India's defense systems—proving again that no force could derail this record-breaking journey.

Highways That Shaped the Journey

Most Challenging Route: Goa to Mumbai – Marred by congestion, poor road quality, and delays.

Best Route for Night Travel: Jaipur to Delhi Expressway – Excellent lighting, security, and smooth driving.

Unforgettable Stays at The LaLiT Properties

Rajveer rated these three properties as the most exceptional:

The LaLiT Srinagar – Hospitality that touched the soul, with breathtaking lake views.

The LaLiT Kolkata – A perfect blend of tradition, comfort, and warmth.

The LaLiT Bekal – Immersive serenity, coastal charm, and meticulous service.

SAMVAAD From ideas to impact: A Tapestry of Expression, Healing, and Mental Resilience Unfolds at IIC New Delhi

New Delhi | June 14, 2025 In a compelling evening of dialogue, reflection, and healing, SAMVAAD: From Ideas to Impact returned with its second edition at India International Centre, New Delhi, carrying forward its powerful mission “Mental Health Matters: Navigating Emotions in a Fast-Moving World.”

Organized by Ewisdomsphere, and led by curator Saumya D Tewari, this SAMVAAD edition created a sanctuary for meaningful, stigma-free conversations around emotional burnout, trauma, grief, mental well-being and cybersecurity in the modern Indian context.

Reflections That Stirred the Soul- Sustainability

The evening opened with a heartfelt invocation by Poonam Rajput, upcycling artist and sustainable art coach, she said “When we upcycle, cloth passed down through generations, we’re not just saving material—we’re safeguarding memories,” urging people to “upcycle their emotions too.”

Mohit Vashistha, Transformation and Life Coach, delivered the keynote address at SAMVAAD, leaving a deep impact on the audience. He illuminated the power of overcoming limiting beliefs, using SWOT analysis for personal growth, and reminded everyone that the ultimate goal of life is happiness—not achievement, but alignment with inner peace.

An insightful student-led video presentation by Aparna and Amritha, Research students from IIPR, Bangalore, titled “Good Intentions, Bad Logic: Why We Avoid Therapy,” captivated the audience. The duo unpacked how our daily thought errors and mental shortcuts—often done with the best intentions—end up delaying much-needed emotional care.

Mansi Gupta, Life Coach (Industry- Emerson) grounded the audience in empathy and leadership, remarking, “Even leaders are human. Don’t just ask ‘How are you?’—ask ‘How do you feel today?’”

Dr. Suchitra Prasad, Happiness Coach & NLP expert, echoed that self-care is not selfishness, especially for women, and introduced tools like ‘disassociation’ and ‘shake-off’ to reframe overwhelming emotions.

Jatin Sharma, legal expert, emphasized: “Make law your friend. Stop fearing mental health as a social stigma—the road is long, but healing through the system is possible.”

Prof. Dinesh C. Sharma discussed how bio-musicology could revolutionize India’s public health frameworks. “Sound is medicine,” he stated. Dr. Priya Bhatnagar highlighted that emotional shutdown among leadership is rampant—often going unnoticed until burnout strikes.

On the expressive arts front, Simmi Kapoor explained how slow hand movements in embroidery and dance help people meet their own emotions “a rarity in today’s fast-paced world.”

Praveen Tiwari, master of hand-woven textiles, touched hearts with his simple truth: “Weaving fabric weaves peace.” His students, he shared, find joy and placement—not just in industry, but in life.

Dr. Shambhavi Das, music therapist, introduced the idea of music as a ‘safe inner space’, particularly for those resisting traditional therapy.

Voices from the community also resonated powerfully. Rajat and Radhika from Bezubaan Saathi Animal Trust shared how caring for distressed animals helps people reduce anxiety, fear, and isolation. Roopal Mishra’s legal research exposed how emotionally shut-down states often precede criminal behaviour—including among judges and legal professionals themselves.

Aparna Jha, a student from DU, delivered a moving personal narrative on surviving anxiety and stigma: “Mental illness is not a choice. Seeking help is.”

Reflections that need our attention- Cybersecurity

Bluewater IT Solutions, SAMVAAD’s official IT Channel Partner, emphasized how securing one’s digital space is integral to mental peace. Mr. Dheeraj Tewari, cybersecurity expert, represented Bluewater and said, “Your digital space is your mental space. Cybersecurity is self-care,” while announcing two key initiatives:

CYBER Connect – a support platform to combat cyber threats, through training programs

BW Tech Talks – an upcoming awareness portal that will simplify cyber knowledge for the common user, by industry leaders.

The session was further enriched by insights from Furious Warrior (OT Security), a valued training partner of SAMVAAD. Ms. Rachna Sharma, founder, shared a compelling message:

“Cybersecurity is not just about systems. It’s about safeguarding minds, families, and futures. In an era where phishing, impersonation, and online fraud are daily threats, cyber-awareness is emotional armour.”

The collaboration was a significant bridge between mental and digital health. With cyber fraud becoming a silent mental health crisis, the event was captivated by, Mr. Aseem as he said, “At NS3 Edu, we’re proud to support SAMVAAD’s vision—bridging technology, cybersecurity, and emotional well-being through integrated IT, AI, and OT solutions that empower safer, smarter communities.” As they deliver solutions in IT networking design, Threat intelligence tools for law enforcement, Multi -sector tech & business consulting.

The event was seamlessly covered by Manthan Rajput, SAMVAAD’s official production partner, whose creative lens and storytelling brought every moment of the confluence to life.

Abhinav Mishra from WARME Foundation shared holistic wellness tools like music, movement, and mindful conversations. The VOYCE initiative, through founder Anika Singh, shared powerful WHO-backed mental health videos, affirming that spreading awareness is the need of the hour to build a more emotionally informed society.

Fitness Coach Siddharth, brought attention to the often-overlooked connection between physical fitness and mental well-being, stating that “a strong body nurtures a strong mind.”

SAMVAAD also acknowledged the chief guest Dr. Debabrata Biswas, Founder of Mala Smriti Home, for turning his mother’s dream into a living legacy—an orphanage in Noida that offers not just shelter, but love, dignity, and hope. Having worked silently for over a decade, his service reminds that creating peace for others is the highest form of mental strength.

Hosted gracefully by Saumya Tewari, the evening concluded with a collective promise: “This is not just an event—it’s a movement. And we’re just getting started.”

 Shooting Locations Spark Backlash

The film was shot in Versova and Madh Jetty in Mumbai — areas close to slum dwellings and underprivileged populations. Allegations have surfaced that local residents were not properly consulted or compensated, leading to discontent within those communities.

Luxury on Wheels: Rajveer Conquers India with a Caravan & Camera

Rajveer Singh Makes History with Rajveer X India’s Luxury Drive: A 10,101 KM in a Luxury Caravan Journey Across India

A Journey of Grit, Grandeur, and Glory

Best Overall Route: Kerala to Goa – Stunning landscapes, perfect roads, cultural richness.

Brands That Fueled the Legacy

The campaign was proudly powered by U&I Entertainment and Designistic Global pvt ltd , backed by over 20 esteemed brands, including:

Red Chief, Team Wizard Media, Being You Always, Body Profuse, Krunchillo, French Essence, Andros Food, Bright Outdoor Media, Josh Bharat Media and many more

Designistic Global Media was the post production partner who played a crucial role in transforming the journey into a cinematic experience.

Support from the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, Kashmir Tourism, and The LaLiT Group as official hospitality partner gave this campaign national strength and significance.

People, Power, and Unprecedented Support

This journey brought together a constellation of influencers and thought leaders:

Creators like Mister Tikku, Dil Se Foodie, Bhookad_Singh and many more joined in city after city.

Entrepreneurs such as Dr. Vishal Kalra, Yukit Vora, Harmeet Singh Gupta, and MasterChef Ishijyot Surri rallied behind the initiative.

The Road Ahead
