इजरायल की खुफिया एजेंसी मोसाद ने अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप को लेकर कुछ खुफिया जानकारी सौंपी है। मोसाद ने दावा किया गया है कि ईरान अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति की हत्या की साजिश रच रहा है। जराइल के इस दावे से अमेरिका में हड़कंप मच गया है। इजरायली एजेंसी ने ये दावा तब किया है, जब डोनाल्ड ट्रंप ने कुछ ही दिन पहले दावा किया था कि वो 'ईरान की हिट लिस्ट में टॉप पर हैं।

इजरायल के रिपोर्ट में क्या?
द वॉल स्ट्रीट जर्नल ने सूत्रों के हवाले से दावा किया है कि इजरायल ने अमेरिका को एक ईरानी प्लान की जानकारी दी है। वहीं CNN की रिपोर्ट कहती है कि इजरायल ने अमेरिका को एक खास साजिश की चेतावनी दी है। रिपोर्ट में कहा गया है कि अमेरिकी सीक्रेट सर्विस पिछले कई हफ्तों से ट्रंप को निशाना बनाने से जुड़ी जानकारियों पर नजर रख रही थीं। हालांकि इजरायल का इनपुट इन सबसे अलग एक नए और विशेष तरह के प्लान से जुड़ा बताया गया है। 

ट्रंप कई बार कह चुके हैं ‘जान को खतरा’
अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप भी कई बार कह चुके हैं कि ईरान की तरफ से उनकी जान को खतरा है। हाल ही में ट्रंप ने नाटो समिट में ही अपने हत्या की साजिश का जिक्र किया था। नाटो शिखर सम्मेलन के बाद तुर्की के अंकारा में ट्रंप ने कहा था कि ईरान उन्हें खत्म करना चाहता है। ट्रंप ने कहा, ‘ईरान अमेरिका के नेता को खत्म करना चाहते हैं, यानी मुझे। मैंने आज सुबह देखा कि मैं उनकी हर लिस्ट में हूं।’ जिसके बाद अटकलें लग रही हैं कि उन्हें भी खुफिया जानकारी मिल चुकी थी।

ईरान के निशाने पर ट्रंप!
यह बात तब सामने आई जब नाटो समिट के दौरान अचान ट्रंप ने अपना नया एयरफोर्स वन छोड़कर पुराने अयरफोर्स वन से सफर करने का फैसला किया। जब उनसे पूछा गया कि क्या ईरान के खतरे की वजह से उन्होंने तुर्किये से लौटते समय अपना विमान बदला था, तो उन्होंने सीधे जवाब नहीं दिया, लेकिन यह जरूर माना कि वह ईरान के निशाने पर हैं।

आखिरकार अमेरिका और ईरान के बीच जंग खत्म करने को लेकर शांति समझौता हो गया है। दोनों देशों के राष्ट्रपतियों ने जंग खत्म करने के लिए समझौता पत्र (MoU) पर हस्ताक्षर कर दिए हैं। अमेरिकी और ईरानी अधिकारियों के अनुसार, इस दस्तावेज पर अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप और ईरानी राष्ट्रपति मसूद पेजेश्कियान ने डिजिटल रूप से हस्ताक्षर किए हैं।

अमेरिका-ईरान का एग्रीमेंट पर हस्ताक्षर
अमेरिकी अधिकारी के मुताबिक राष्ट्रपति ट्रंप ने फ्रांस के पैलेस ऑफ वर्सेलिस में मैक्रों के साथ डिनर के दौरान अमेरिका-ईरान का एग्रीमेंट पर हस्ताक्षर कर दिए है। समझौते के वक्त ईरान और अमेरिका आमने-सामने नहीं थे। राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप और ईरान के राष्ट्रपति मसूद पेजेश्कियान ने अलग-अलग जगहों से दोनों देशों के बीच 3 महीने से अधिक समय से जारी जंग को खत्म करने के लिए एमओयू पर औपचारिक तौर पर हस्ताक्षर कर दिए। ईरानी राष्ट्रपति यहां से 5000 किमी दूर तेहरान में बैठकर डील साइन कर रहे थे।

खुल जाएगा होर्मुज
फिलहाल बताया जा रहा है कि इस समझौते का ज्यादातर हिस्सा युद्ध से पहले की स्थिति को बहाल करेगा। इसमें जंग को खत्म करना, तेहरान के परमाणु कार्यक्रम पर अमेरिका और ईरान के बीच बातचीत फिर से शुरू करना और होर्मुज़ स्ट्रेट को फिर से खोलना शामिल है. होर्मुज एक अहम समुद्री मार्ग है जहां से दुनिया के कई देशों के लिए तेल और प्राकृतिक गैस पहुंचाए जाते हैं और इसके बंद होने से ऐतिहासिक ऊर्जा संकट पैदा हो गया था। 

तेहरान को यूरेनियम के भंडार कम करना होगा
दोनों देशों की ओर से जारी जानकारी के अनुसार, इस समझौते के तहत तेहरान को अपने अत्यधिक संवर्धित यूरेनियम के भंडार को कम करना होगा और अमेरिका की ओर से लगाए गए बैन को हटा लिया जाएगा। इस करार के तहत ईरान को तुरंत अपना तेल स्वतंत्र रूप से बेचने की अनुमति मिल जाएगी।

ईरान के लिए 300 अरब डॉलर
इसमें ईरान के पुनर्निर्माण और आर्थिक विकास के लिए 300 अरब डॉलर के फंड का भी प्रावधान है। हालांकि, इसमें अमेरिका को योगदान करने की जरूरत नहीं है। ट्रंप प्रशासन ने इस समझौते को प्रदर्शन आधारित बताया है, जिसमें ईरान को तभी लाभ मिलेगा जब वह अपनी प्रतिबद्धताओं का पालन करेगा। अमेरिकी अधिकारियों ने कहा कि इस समझौते का मकसद चार महीने से चल रहे टकराव को खत्म करना और दुनिया के लिए ऊर्जा की सप्लाई के अहम मार्ग होर्मुज जलडमरूमध्य को फिर से खोलना है।

फारस की खाड़ी में जंग खत्म करने को लेकर अमेरिका और ईरान के बीच समझौता हो गया है। बातचीत की मध्यस्थता कर रहे पाकिस्तान के प्रधानमंत्री शहबाज़ शरीफ़ ने एक बयान जारी कर इसकी जानकारी दी।  शुक्रवार 19 जून को स्विट्जरलैंड के जेनेवा में दोनों पक्षों की ओर से इस पीस डील पर औपचारिक हस्‍ताक्षर किया जाएगा।

ट्रंप ने शांति समझौते को लेकर क्या कहा?
अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप और ईरानी सरकार की ओर से समझौते की पुष्टि कर दी गई है। डोनाल्ड ट्रंप ने सोशल मीडिया पर लिखा है कि "सभी को समझौते की बधाई देते हुए मैं होर्मुज जलडमरूमध्य को बिना किसी टोल के खोलने की पूरी मंजूरी देता हूं। साथ ही अमेरिकी नौसेना की नाकेबंदी को तुरंत हटाने का भी आदेश देता हूं।" 

ईरान ने क्या कहा है
ईरान के उप-विदेश मंत्री काजेम गरीबाबादी ने सरकारी टेलीविजन पर समझौते की पुष्टि की है। गरीबाबादी ने कहा है कि डील हो गई है लेकिन शुक्रवार को हस्ताक्षर होने तक तेहरान इसे लागू करना शुरू नहीं करेगा। उन्होंने बताया कि यह समझौता तेहरान में कतर के प्रतिनिधि के साथ 14 घंटे से ज्यादा चली बातचीत के बाद हुआ है। पाकिस्तान के अलावा कतर एक और अहम मध्यस्थ है।

समझौते के बाद शहबाज शरीफ का पोस्ट
इस समझौते के लिए मध्यस्थ की भूमिका निभाने वाले पाकिस्तान के प्रधानमंत्री शहबाज शरीफ ने एक्स पर लिखा, "लंबी बातचीत के बाद, हमें यह घोषणा करते हुए खुशी हो रही है कि अमेरिका और ईरान के बीच शांति समझौता हो गया है। दोनों पक्षों ने लेबनान सहित सभी मोर्चों पर सैन्य कार्रवाई को तुरंत और स्थायी रूप से रोकने की घोषणा की है।"

US-ईरान शांति डील में क्या-क्या शामिल है?
1- लेबनान समेत सभी मोर्चों पर युद्ध को तुरंत और हमेशा के लिए रोकना
2-	अमेरिका ने वादा किया है कि वह ईरान के अंदरूनी मामलों में दखल नहीं देगा और इस्लामिक रिपब्लिक ऑफ़ ईरान की संप्रभुता का सम्मान करेगा
3-	दिनों के अंदर नौसैनिक नाकेबंदी को पूरी तरह से हटाया जाएगा
4- अमेरिका ने यह वादा किया है कि वह ईरान के आस-पास के इलाकों से अपनी सेना हटा लेगा
5- ईरान की 'व्यवस्थाओं' के तहत 30 दिनों के भीतर होर्मुज जलडमरूमध्य को फिर से खोला जाएगा
6- तेल, पेट्रोकेमिकल उत्पादों और उनसे जुड़े उत्पादों पर लगे प्रतिबंधों को हटाना और उनसे होने वाली कमाई तक ईरान की पूरी पहुंच सुनिश्चित की जाएगी
7- अमेरिका और उसके सहयोगियों के लिए ईरान के पुनर्निर्माण के वास्ते कम से कम 300 अरब डॉलर की योजनाएं पेश करना जरूरी होगा।
8- परमाणु मुद्दों और अमेरिका के प्राथमिक और माध्यमिक प्रतिबंधों, साथ ही UN सुरक्षा परिषद के प्रस्तावों और IAEA बोर्ड ऑफ गवर्नर्स के प्रस्तावों को पूरी तरह से हटाने के आधार पर अंतिम समझौते तक पहुंचने के लिए 60 दिनों की बातचीत।
9- NPT के तहत परमाणु हथियार न बनाने के अपने वादे को ईरान का फिर से दोहराना।
10- बातचीत के दौरान अमेरिका ने वादा किया है कि वह इस क्षेत्र में अपनी सेना नहीं बढ़ाएगा और कोई नया प्रतिबंध नहीं लगाएगा।
11- अंतिम बातचीत की 60 दिनों की अवधि के दौरान ईरान के फ्रीज किए गए 24 अरब डॉलर जारी किए जाएंगे। इस राशि का आधा हिस्सा बातचीत शुरू होने से पहले ही ईरान को उपलब्ध कराया जाएगा।
12- समझौते को लागू करने के लिए एक निगरानी तंत्र बनाया जाएगा।
13- अंतिम समझौते को UN सुरक्षा परिषद के प्रस्ताव के माध्यम से मंजूरी दी जाएगी।
14- अंतिम बातचीत तब तक शुरू नहीं होगी जब तक ईरान के फ्रीज किए गए फंड का आधा हिस्सा जारी नहीं हो जाता ईरान पर तेल प्रतिबंध हटा नहीं दिए जाते और नौसैनिक नाकेबंदी खत्म नहीं हो जाती।अंतिम समझौता केवल संवर्धित यूरेनियम और संवर्धन, प्रतिबंधों से राहत और ईरान की अर्थव्यवस्था के पुनर्निर्माण के कार्यक्रम तक ही सीमित रहेगा। ईरान के मिसाइल कार्यक्रम और प्रतिरोध समूहोंको समर्थन देने के बारे में चर्चा को एजेंडे से पूरी तरह हटा दिया गया है।

तीन भारतीयों की मौत के बाद भड़के राहुल गांधी
बता दें कांग्रेस नेता की यह टिप्पणी खाड़ी में हुई घटना के बाद आई है। दरअसल, ओमान की खाड़ी (डुक्म) में एक कमर्शियल तेल टैंकर पर अमेरिकी सेना का शिकार हो गया। हमले में तीन भारतीय नाविकों की मौत हो गई थी। MT सेटेबेलो नाम का यह जहाज बुधवार को निशाना बना, क्योंकि अमेरिका ने आरोप लगाया था कि वह बंदरगाहों पर लगाए गए प्रतिबंधों का उल्लंघन कर रहा था। जानकारी के मुताबिक, जहाज पर कुल 24 भारतीय क्रू सदस्य सवार थे। इनमें से 21 लोगों को सुरक्षित बचा लिया गया, जबकि तीन नाविकों की बाद में मौत की पुष्टि हुई।

इजरायल की खुफिया एजेंसी मोसाद ने अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप को लेकर कुछ खुफिया जानकारी सौंपी है। मोसाद ने दावा किया गया है कि ईरान अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति की हत्या की साजिश रच रहा है। जराइल के इस दावे से अमेरिका में हड़कंप मच गया है। इजरायली एजेंसी ने ये दावा तब किया है, जब डोनाल्ड ट्रंप ने कुछ ही दिन पहले दावा किया था कि वो 'ईरान की हिट लिस्ट में टॉप पर हैं।

इजरायल के रिपोर्ट में क्या?

ट्रंप कई बार कह चुके हैं ‘जान को खतरा’
अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप भी कई बार कह चुके हैं कि ईरान की तरफ से उनकी जान को खतरा है। हाल ही में ट्रंप ने नाटो समिट में ही अपने हत्या की साजिश का जिक्र किया था। नाटो शिखर सम्मेलन के बाद तुर्की के अंकारा में ट्रंप ने कहा था कि ईरान उन्हें खत्म करना चाहता है। ट्रंप ने कहा, ‘ईरान अमेरिका के नेता को खत्म करना चाहते हैं, यानी मुझे। मैंने आज सुबह देखा कि मैं उनकी हर लिस्ट में हूं।’ जिसके बाद अटकलें लग रही हैं कि उन्हें भी खुफिया जानकारी मिल चुकी थी।

ईरान के निशाने पर ट्रंप!
यह बात तब सामने आई जब नाटो समिट के दौरान अचान ट्रंप ने अपना नया एयरफोर्स वन छोड़कर पुराने अयरफोर्स वन से सफर करने का फैसला किया। जब उनसे पूछा गया कि क्या ईरान के खतरे की वजह से उन्होंने तुर्किये से लौटते समय अपना विमान बदला था, तो उन्होंने सीधे जवाब नहीं दिया, लेकिन यह जरूर माना कि वह ईरान के निशाने पर हैं।

आखिरकार अमेरिका और ईरान के बीच जंग खत्म करने को लेकर शांति समझौता हो गया है। दोनों देशों के राष्ट्रपतियों ने जंग खत्म करने के लिए समझौता पत्र (MoU) पर हस्ताक्षर कर दिए हैं। अमेरिकी और ईरानी अधिकारियों के अनुसार, इस दस्तावेज पर अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप और ईरानी राष्ट्रपति मसूद पेजेश्कियान ने डिजिटल रूप से हस्ताक्षर किए हैं।

अमेरिका-ईरान का एग्रीमेंट पर हस्ताक्षर
अमेरिकी अधिकारी के मुताबिक राष्ट्रपति ट्रंप ने फ्रांस के पैलेस ऑफ वर्सेलिस में मैक्रों के साथ डिनर के दौरान अमेरिका-ईरान का एग्रीमेंट पर हस्ताक्षर कर दिए है। समझौते के वक्त ईरान और अमेरिका आमने-सामने नहीं थे। राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप और ईरान के राष्ट्रपति मसूद पेजेश्कियान ने अलग-अलग जगहों से दोनों देशों के बीच 3 महीने से अधिक समय से जारी जंग को खत्म करने के लिए एमओयू पर औपचारिक तौर पर हस्ताक्षर कर दिए। ईरानी राष्ट्रपति यहां से 5000 किमी दूर तेहरान में बैठकर डील साइन कर रहे थे।

खुल जाएगा होर्मुज
फिलहाल बताया जा रहा है कि इस समझौते का ज्यादातर हिस्सा युद्ध से पहले की स्थिति को बहाल करेगा। इसमें जंग को खत्म करना, तेहरान के परमाणु कार्यक्रम पर अमेरिका और ईरान के बीच बातचीत फिर से शुरू करना और होर्मुज़ स्ट्रेट को फिर से खोलना शामिल है. होर्मुज एक अहम समुद्री मार्ग है जहां से दुनिया के कई देशों के लिए तेल और प्राकृतिक गैस पहुंचाए जाते हैं और इसके बंद होने से ऐतिहासिक ऊर्जा संकट पैदा हो गया था। 

तेहरान को यूरेनियम के भंडार कम करना होगा
दोनों देशों की ओर से जारी जानकारी के अनुसार, इस समझौते के तहत तेहरान को अपने अत्यधिक संवर्धित यूरेनियम के भंडार को कम करना होगा और अमेरिका की ओर से लगाए गए बैन को हटा लिया जाएगा। इस करार के तहत ईरान को तुरंत अपना तेल स्वतंत्र रूप से बेचने की अनुमति मिल जाएगी।

ईरान के लिए 300 अरब डॉलर
इसमें ईरान के पुनर्निर्माण और आर्थिक विकास के लिए 300 अरब डॉलर के फंड का भी प्रावधान है। हालांकि, इसमें अमेरिका को योगदान करने की जरूरत नहीं है। ट्रंप प्रशासन ने इस समझौते को प्रदर्शन आधारित बताया है, जिसमें ईरान को तभी लाभ मिलेगा जब वह अपनी प्रतिबद्धताओं का पालन करेगा। अमेरिकी अधिकारियों ने कहा कि इस समझौते का मकसद चार महीने से चल रहे टकराव को खत्म करना और दुनिया के लिए ऊर्जा की सप्लाई के अहम मार्ग होर्मुज जलडमरूमध्य को फिर से खोलना है।

फारस की खाड़ी में जंग खत्म करने को लेकर अमेरिका और ईरान के बीच समझौता हो गया है। बातचीत की मध्यस्थता कर रहे पाकिस्तान के प्रधानमंत्री शहबाज़ शरीफ़ ने एक बयान जारी कर इसकी जानकारी दी।  शुक्रवार 19 जून को स्विट्जरलैंड के जेनेवा में दोनों पक्षों की ओर से इस पीस डील पर औपचारिक हस्‍ताक्षर किया जाएगा।

ट्रंप ने शांति समझौते को लेकर क्या कहा?
अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप और ईरानी सरकार की ओर से समझौते की पुष्टि कर दी गई है। डोनाल्ड ट्रंप ने सोशल मीडिया पर लिखा है कि "सभी को समझौते की बधाई देते हुए मैं होर्मुज जलडमरूमध्य को बिना किसी टोल के खोलने की पूरी मंजूरी देता हूं। साथ ही अमेरिकी नौसेना की नाकेबंदी को तुरंत हटाने का भी आदेश देता हूं।" 

ईरान ने क्या कहा है
ईरान के उप-विदेश मंत्री काजेम गरीबाबादी ने सरकारी टेलीविजन पर समझौते की पुष्टि की है। गरीबाबादी ने कहा है कि डील हो गई है लेकिन शुक्रवार को हस्ताक्षर होने तक तेहरान इसे लागू करना शुरू नहीं करेगा। उन्होंने बताया कि यह समझौता तेहरान में कतर के प्रतिनिधि के साथ 14 घंटे से ज्यादा चली बातचीत के बाद हुआ है। पाकिस्तान के अलावा कतर एक और अहम मध्यस्थ है।

समझौते के बाद शहबाज शरीफ का पोस्ट
इस समझौते के लिए मध्यस्थ की भूमिका निभाने वाले पाकिस्तान के प्रधानमंत्री शहबाज शरीफ ने एक्स पर लिखा, "लंबी बातचीत के बाद, हमें यह घोषणा करते हुए खुशी हो रही है कि अमेरिका और ईरान के बीच शांति समझौता हो गया है। दोनों पक्षों ने लेबनान सहित सभी मोर्चों पर सैन्य कार्रवाई को तुरंत और स्थायी रूप से रोकने की घोषणा की है।"

US-ईरान शांति डील में क्या-क्या शामिल है?
1- लेबनान समेत सभी मोर्चों पर युद्ध को तुरंत और हमेशा के लिए रोकना
2-	अमेरिका ने वादा किया है कि वह ईरान के अंदरूनी मामलों में दखल नहीं देगा और इस्लामिक रिपब्लिक ऑफ़ ईरान की संप्रभुता का सम्मान करेगा
3-	दिनों के अंदर नौसैनिक नाकेबंदी को पूरी तरह से हटाया जाएगा
4- अमेरिका ने यह वादा किया है कि वह ईरान के आस-पास के इलाकों से अपनी सेना हटा लेगा
5- ईरान की 'व्यवस्थाओं' के तहत 30 दिनों के भीतर होर्मुज जलडमरूमध्य को फिर से खोला जाएगा
6- तेल, पेट्रोकेमिकल उत्पादों और उनसे जुड़े उत्पादों पर लगे प्रतिबंधों को हटाना और उनसे होने वाली कमाई तक ईरान की पूरी पहुंच सुनिश्चित की जाएगी
7- अमेरिका और उसके सहयोगियों के लिए ईरान के पुनर्निर्माण के वास्ते कम से कम 300 अरब डॉलर की योजनाएं पेश करना जरूरी होगा।
8- परमाणु मुद्दों और अमेरिका के प्राथमिक और माध्यमिक प्रतिबंधों, साथ ही UN सुरक्षा परिषद के प्रस्तावों और IAEA बोर्ड ऑफ गवर्नर्स के प्रस्तावों को पूरी तरह से हटाने के आधार पर अंतिम समझौते तक पहुंचने के लिए 60 दिनों की बातचीत।
9- NPT के तहत परमाणु हथियार न बनाने के अपने वादे को ईरान का फिर से दोहराना।
10- बातचीत के दौरान अमेरिका ने वादा किया है कि वह इस क्षेत्र में अपनी सेना नहीं बढ़ाएगा और कोई नया प्रतिबंध नहीं लगाएगा।
11- अंतिम बातचीत की 60 दिनों की अवधि के दौरान ईरान के फ्रीज किए गए 24 अरब डॉलर जारी किए जाएंगे। इस राशि का आधा हिस्सा बातचीत शुरू होने से पहले ही ईरान को उपलब्ध कराया जाएगा।
12- समझौते को लागू करने के लिए एक निगरानी तंत्र बनाया जाएगा।
13- अंतिम समझौते को UN सुरक्षा परिषद के प्रस्ताव के माध्यम से मंजूरी दी जाएगी।
14- अंतिम बातचीत तब तक शुरू नहीं होगी जब तक ईरान के फ्रीज किए गए फंड का आधा हिस्सा जारी नहीं हो जाता ईरान पर तेल प्रतिबंध हटा नहीं दिए जाते और नौसैनिक नाकेबंदी खत्म नहीं हो जाती।अंतिम समझौता केवल संवर्धित यूरेनियम और संवर्धन, प्रतिबंधों से राहत और ईरान की अर्थव्यवस्था के पुनर्निर्माण के कार्यक्रम तक ही सीमित रहेगा। ईरान के मिसाइल कार्यक्रम और प्रतिरोध समूहोंको समर्थन देने के बारे में चर्चा को एजेंडे से पूरी तरह हटा दिया गया है।

तीन भारतीयों की मौत के बाद भड़के राहुल गांधी
बता दें कांग्रेस नेता की यह टिप्पणी खाड़ी में हुई घटना के बाद आई है। दरअसल, ओमान की खाड़ी (डुक्म) में एक कमर्शियल तेल टैंकर पर अमेरिकी सेना का शिकार हो गया। हमले में तीन भारतीय नाविकों की मौत हो गई थी। MT सेटेबेलो नाम का यह जहाज बुधवार को निशाना बना, क्योंकि अमेरिका ने आरोप लगाया था कि वह बंदरगाहों पर लगाए गए प्रतिबंधों का उल्लंघन कर रहा था। जानकारी के मुताबिक, जहाज पर कुल 24 भारतीय क्रू सदस्य सवार थे। इनमें से 21 लोगों को सुरक्षित बचा लिया गया, जबकि तीन नाविकों की बाद में मौत की पुष्टि हुई।

पश्चिम एशिया संकट पर केंद्र की नरेंद्र मोदी सरकार की रणनीति का अबतक खुलकर समर्थन करने वाले कांग्रेस सांसद शशि थरूर ने अमेरिका और ईरान के बीच संभावित वार्ता में पाकिस्तान की भूमिका पर निराशा जताई है। उन्होंने इसे शर्मनाक बताते हुए कहा कि भारत को इस मौके पर शांति प्रयासों में अग्रणी भूमिका निभानी चाहिए थी, लेकिन ऐसा नहीं हो सका। उन्होंने कहा कि उन्होंने अब तक केंद्र सरकार की संयमित प्रतिक्रिया का समर्थन किया था, इस उम्मीद में कि भारत इस अवसर का उपयोग शांति स्थापना के लिए करेगा।

थरूर बोले-हमें हाथ पर हाथ रखकर नहीं बैठना चाहिए

थरूर के मुताबिक, प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी अक्सर भारत को शांति की आवाज के रूप में पेश करते रहे हैं, ऐसे में यह मौका भारत के लिए महत्वपूर्ण था। कांग्रेस सांसद ने कहा कि वह पिछले तीन हफ्तों से भारत से अपील कर रहे थे कि वह अपने मजबूत कूटनीतिक संबंधों का इस्तेमाल कर दोनों पक्षों को बातचीत के लिए प्रेरित करे। उन्‍होंने कहा कि अगर पाकिस्तान में शांति वार्ता होती है तो भारत का उससे कोई लेना-देना नहीं है, लेकिन हमें पहल करनी चाहिए थी। उन्होंने यह भी जोड़ा कि भले ही पाकिस्तान, मिस्र और तुर्की इस दिशा में आगे बढ़े हैं, लेकिन भारत को इसका कोई श्रेय नहीं मिल रहा।
