कनाडा के वैंकूवर एयरपोर्ट पर एअर इंडिया के एक पायलट को नशे की हालत में हिरासत में लिया गया। 23 दिसंबर, 2025 को वैंकूवर-दिल्ली (वियना होते हुए) उड़ान भरने वाले एयर इंडिया के एक पायलट को जश्न मनाना भारी पड़ गया। पायलट को मुंह से शराब की गंध आने के बाद हिरासत में लिया गया।

23 दिसंबर 2025 को वैंकूवर एयरपोर्ट पर सुरक्षा जांच के दौरान कनाडाई अधिकारियों को कॉकपिट क्रू के एक सदस्य की ड्यूटी फिटनेस को लेकर संदेह हुआ। अधिकारियों का कहना है कि पायलट से शराब जैसी गंध महसूस हुई, जिसके बाद नियमों के तहत उसे उड़ान से पहले ही उतार दिया गया और आगे की पूछताछ के लिए ले जाया गया।

इस मामले में एअर इंडिया ने कड़ा रुख अपनाया है। पायलट को कुछ दिनों बाद दिल्ली लाया गया और उससे पूछताछ की जा रही है। एयर इंडिया ने दोहराया कि कंपनी नियमों के उल्लंघन पर जीरो टोलरेंस की नीति पर चलता है और जांच में यदि किसी भी तरह के उल्लंघन की पुष्टि होती है तो कंपनी नियम के अनुसार सख्त अनुशासनात्मक कार्रवाई की जाएगी।

डीजीसीए कर रहा जांच
इस मामले की जानकारी नागरिक उड्डयन महानिदेशालय (DGCA) को दी गई है, जो इसकी जांच कर रहा है। एअर इंडिया सूत्रों के मुताबिक वो इस मामले में कनाडाई अधिकारियों के साथ पूरा सहयोग कर रहे हैं। जांच पूरी होने तक संबंधित पायलट को उड़ान ड्यूटी से हटा दिया गया है।

23 दिसंबर 2025 को वैंकूवर एयरपोर्ट पर सुरक्षा जांच के दौरान कनाडाई अधिकारियों को कॉकपिट क्रू के एक सदस्य की ड्यूटी फिटनेस को लेकर संदेह हुआ। अधिकारियों का कहना है कि पायलट से शराब जैसी गंध महसूस हुई, जिसके बाद नियमों के तहत उसे उड़ान से पहले ही उतार दिया गया और आगे की पूछताछ के लिए ले जाया गया।
