*Mohammedan Sporting Club secures victory over Southern Samity at the Kalyani A Stadium*

Sports Desk: Mohammedan Sporting Club clinched their first victory in the ongoing Calcutta Football League with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Southern Samity at the Kalyani A Stadium. This win marks the reserve team’s maiden win in the CFL and also earns them their first three points on the league table.
The squad got off to a dream start when jersey number 45, Maxion struck in the 6th minute, putting MSC in the lead early. Maintaining a composed and disciplined approach, the team held their advantage through the first half, heading into the break 1-0 ahead.
Southern Samity came out in the second half and managed to find the equalizer, bringing the contest back to level terms.
However, Suvendu Mallik stepped up in the 74th minute, netting the decisive goal that restored the lead.
The team’s defense stood firm in the closing stages, with the final whistle confirming a 2-1 victory and a crucial morale boost for the reserve squad in their CFL campaign.
