केरल विधानसभा चुनाव की तैयारियों के बीच एक बार फिर शशि थरूर की नाराजगी की खबर सामने आई है। चुनावी तैयारियों को लेकर आज होने वाली कांग्रेस की अहम बैठक में थरूर शामिल नहीं हुए। आज राहुल गांधी और मल्लिकार्जुन खरगे के साथ दिल्ली में बैठक प्रस्तावित थी। लेकिन इसमें थरूर नहीं पहुंचे।

  


शशि थरूर के ऑफिस की तरफ से इस बाबत बयान जारी किया गया है, जिसमें स्‍पष्‍ट तौर पर कहा गया है कि शशि थरूर आज यानी 23 दिसंबर को दिल्ली में होने वाली केरल कांग्रेस की अहम चुनावी तैयारी बैठक में शामिल नहीं हो पाएंगे। उनके कार्यालय ने कहा, ‘वे केरल लिटरेचर फेस्टिवल के लिए कालीकट में हैं, जो एशिया का सबसे बड़ा साहित्य महोत्सव है। वह अपनी नवीनतम पुस्तक पर बोल रहे हैं, जो श्री नारायण गुरु पर आधारित है। उन्होंने पार्टी को पहले ही सूचित कर दिया था कि वह बैठक में शामिल नहीं हो सकेंगे।’
 
क्या है थरूर की नाराजगी की वजह?
शशि थरूर और कांग्रेस पार्टी के बीच के मतभेद की खबरें लंबे समय से आ रही है। इस बीच कांग्रेस के वरिष्ठ सांसद शशि थरूर और पार्टी नेतृत्व के बीच बढ़ती दूरी एक बार फिर चर्चा में है। सूत्रों के मुताबिक, राहुल गांधी के हालिया कोच्चि दौरे के दौरान उन्हें अपेक्षित सम्मान न मिलने से थरूर नाराज हैं।

केरल की राजनीति में भाजपा ने इतिहास रच दिया है। केरल में पहली बार भाजपा का मेयर चुना गया है। तिरुवनंतपुरम कॉर्पोरेशन में शुक्रवार को हुए मेयर चुनाव में भाजपा के वीवी राजेश को 51 वोट मिले। इस जीत को वामपंथियों के गढ़ केरल में भगवा पार्टी की दस्तक के तौर पर देखा जा रहा है।

  

बीजेपी के केरल सचिव और कोडुंगनूर वार्ड के पार्षद वीवी राजेश को शुक्रवार को तिरुवनंतपुरम निगम का मेयर चुना गया, जो केरल की शहरी राजनीति में बीजेपी की बड़ी सफलता है। बीजेपी के वीवी राजेश तिरुवनंतपुरम निगम के पहले मेयर बने हैं, जिन्हें 50 बीजेपी पार्षदों और एक निर्दलीय पार्षद का समर्थन मिला और कुल 51 वोट मिले। यूडीएफ के केएस सबरीनाथन को 17 वोट और एलडीएफ के आरपी शिवाजी को 29 वोट मिले।

गुरुवार को भाजपा ने राज्य सचिव वीवी राजेश को तिरुवनंतपुरम नगर निगम के मेयर पद का उम्मीदवार घोषित किया था। साथ ही पार्टी ने करुमम वार्ड से पार्षद जीएस आशानाथ को पार्टी की ओर से उप-महापौर पद का उम्मीदवार बनाया।

दरअसल 9 दिसंबर को तिरुवनंतपुरम नगर निगम के 101 वार्डों का रिजल्ट आया था। जिसमें से 50 वार्डों पर भाजपा को जीत मिली थी। पिछले 45 साल से यहां वाम लोकतांत्रिक मोर्चा (एलडीएफ) का कब्जा था। एलडीएफ को 29 और कांग्रेस गठबंधन (यूडीएफ) को 17 वार्डों में जीत मिली थी। केरल के 1,199 स्थानीय निकायों के लिए दो फेज 9 और 11 दिसंबर को वोटिंग हुई थी। इनमें 6 कॉर्पोरेशन, 86 नगर पालिकाएं, 14 डिस्ट्रिक्ट काउंसिल, 152 ब्लॉक पंचायत और 941 ग्राम पंचायतें शामिल हैं।

राज्य में छह नगर निगमों, 14 जिला पंचायतों, 87 नगर पालिकाओं, 152 ब्लॉक पंचायतों और 941 ग्राम पंचायत में चुनाव हुए थे। इनमें कांग्रेस के नेतृत्व वाले यूडीएफ ने बड़ी जीत दर्ज की। यूडीएफ ने चार नगर निगमों, 7 जिला पंचायतों, 54 नगर पालिकाओं, 79 ब्लॉक पंचायतों और 505 ग्राम पंचायतों में जीत हासिल की है। एलडीएफ को महज एक नगर निगम, सात जिला पंचायतों, 28 नगर पालिकाओं, 63 ब्लॉक पंचायतों और 340 ग्राम पंचायतों में जीत मिली है।

बता दें कि केरल में बीजेपी सालों से संघर्ष करती आ रही है, लेकिन लेफ्ट के इस अभेद किले को अभी तक भेदने में नाकामयाब रही थी। केरल में पार्टी का अभी तक केवल एक ही विधायक रहा है, जिनका नाम ओ राजगोपाल रहा है। उन्होंने 2016 में नेमोम सीट जीती थी। राज्य में बीजेपी के एक सांसद हैं अभिनेता सुरेश गोपी, जिन्होंने साल 2024 में त्रिशूर सीट जीती है।

आज देश के दो राज्यों और एक केंद्र शासित प्रदेश में विधानसभा चुनाव के लिए मतदान है। आज असम, केरल और केंद्र शासित प्रदेश पुदुचेरी में विधानसभा चुनाव है। असम की 126, केरल की 140 और पुदुचेरी की 30 सीटों पर उम्मीदवारों अपनी किस्मत आज ईवीएम में कैद हो जाएगी।

  

असम में कुल 2.5 करोड़ मतदाता हैं, जिनमें 1.25 करोड़ पुरुष, 1.25 करोड़ महिलाएं और 343 थर्ड जेंडर मतदाता शामिल हैं। 126 सीटों पर 722 उम्मीदवार चुनाव लड़ रहे हैं। वहीं, केरल में 140 सीटों के लिए 883 उम्मीदवार मैदान में हैं। राज्य में कुल 2.71 करोड़ मतदाता हैं, जिनमें 1.32 करोड़ पुरुष, 1.39 करोड़ महिलाएं और 273 थर्ड जेंडर वोटर्स शामिल हैं। पुदुचेरी में 30 विधानसभा सीटों पर मतदान होगा, जिनमें 5 सीटें अनुसूचित जाति के लिए आरक्षित हैं। पुदुचेरी में कुल 9.50 लाख मतदाताओं में करीब 4.46 लाख पुरुष, 5.03 लाख महिलाएं और 139 थर्ड जेंडर मतदाता शामिल हैं।

केरल की राजनीति में भाजपा ने इतिहास रच दिया है। केरल में पहली बार भाजपा का मेयर चुना गया है। तिरुवनंतपुरम कॉर्पोरेशन में शुक्रवार को हुए मेयर चुनाव में भाजपा के वीवी राजेश को 51 वोट मिले। इस जीत को वामपंथियों के गढ़ केरल में भगवा पार्टी की दस्तक के तौर पर देखा जा रहा है।

  

बीजेपी के केरल सचिव और कोडुंगनूर वार्ड के पार्षद वीवी राजेश को शुक्रवार को तिरुवनंतपुरम निगम का मेयर चुना गया, जो केरल की शहरी राजनीति में बीजेपी की बड़ी सफलता है। बीजेपी के वीवी राजेश तिरुवनंतपुरम निगम के पहले मेयर बने हैं, जिन्हें 50 बीजेपी पार्षदों और एक निर्दलीय पार्षद का समर्थन मिला और कुल 51 वोट मिले। यूडीएफ के केएस सबरीनाथन को 17 वोट और एलडीएफ के आरपी शिवाजी को 29 वोट मिले।

गुरुवार को भाजपा ने राज्य सचिव वीवी राजेश को तिरुवनंतपुरम नगर निगम के मेयर पद का उम्मीदवार घोषित किया था। साथ ही पार्टी ने करुमम वार्ड से पार्षद जीएस आशानाथ को पार्टी की ओर से उप-महापौर पद का उम्मीदवार बनाया।

दरअसल 9 दिसंबर को तिरुवनंतपुरम नगर निगम के 101 वार्डों का रिजल्ट आया था। जिसमें से 50 वार्डों पर भाजपा को जीत मिली थी। पिछले 45 साल से यहां वाम लोकतांत्रिक मोर्चा (एलडीएफ) का कब्जा था। एलडीएफ को 29 और कांग्रेस गठबंधन (यूडीएफ) को 17 वार्डों में जीत मिली थी। केरल के 1,199 स्थानीय निकायों के लिए दो फेज 9 और 11 दिसंबर को वोटिंग हुई थी। इनमें 6 कॉर्पोरेशन, 86 नगर पालिकाएं, 14 डिस्ट्रिक्ट काउंसिल, 152 ब्लॉक पंचायत और 941 ग्राम पंचायतें शामिल हैं।

राज्य में छह नगर निगमों, 14 जिला पंचायतों, 87 नगर पालिकाओं, 152 ब्लॉक पंचायतों और 941 ग्राम पंचायत में चुनाव हुए थे। इनमें कांग्रेस के नेतृत्व वाले यूडीएफ ने बड़ी जीत दर्ज की। यूडीएफ ने चार नगर निगमों, 7 जिला पंचायतों, 54 नगर पालिकाओं, 79 ब्लॉक पंचायतों और 505 ग्राम पंचायतों में जीत हासिल की है। एलडीएफ को महज एक नगर निगम, सात जिला पंचायतों, 28 नगर पालिकाओं, 63 ब्लॉक पंचायतों और 340 ग्राम पंचायतों में जीत मिली है।

बता दें कि केरल में बीजेपी सालों से संघर्ष करती आ रही है, लेकिन लेफ्ट के इस अभेद किले को अभी तक भेदने में नाकामयाब रही थी। केरल में पार्टी का अभी तक केवल एक ही विधायक रहा है, जिनका नाम ओ राजगोपाल रहा है। उन्होंने 2016 में नेमोम सीट जीती थी। राज्य में बीजेपी के एक सांसद हैं अभिनेता सुरेश गोपी, जिन्होंने साल 2024 में त्रिशूर सीट जीती है।
