आर्थिक राजधानी मुंबई में किया गया। यह जानकारी देते हुए लोढ़ा डेवलपर्स के CEO एवं प्रबंध निदेशक और लोढ़ा फाउंडेशन के ट्रस्टी अभिषेक लोढ़ा ने बताया कि भारत आने वाले वर्षों में एक वैश्विक लीडर बनने के जैन के नेतृत्व में LTPI, मौलिक भौतिकी में साहसिक विचारों को प्रोत्साहित करेगा। लोढ़ा थ्योरिटिकल फिजिक्स इंस्टीट्यूट की परिकल्पना भारत में सैद्धांतिक भौतिकी में मौलिक अनुसंधान के लिए एक समर्पित केंद्र के रूप में की गई है। यह संस्थान भारत और दुनिया भर के अग्रणी वैज्ञानिकों के बीच केंद्रित अनुसंधान कार्यक्रमों, अंतरराष्ट्रीय सम्मेलनों और सार्थक सहयोग के लिए एक शैक्षणिक वातावरण तैयार करके निरंतर और लोढ़ा फाउंडेशन के मुख्य मार्गदर्शक आशीष कुमार सिंह ने कहा कि LTPI का उद्देश्य दुनिया भर के सबसे असाधारण बुद्धिमानों को एक साथ लाना और बिना किसी बाधा के भौतिकी के बारे में खुलकर सोचने में समय बिताना का नेतृत्व संस्थापक निदेशक प्रो. जैनेंद्र के. जैन करेंगे, जो एक प्रसिद्ध सैद्धांतिक भौतिक विज्ञानी हैं और उन्हें 'ऑलिवर ई. बकली प्राइज' एवं भौतिकी में 'वुल्फ प्राइज' मिल चुका है । उन्होंने 'कंपोजिट फर्मिओन्स' नामक उभरते कणों की खोज की। इसका वर्णन करने वाले उनके सिद्धांत ने correlated quantum matter की समझ को बेहद समृद्ध किया है और आधुनिक सैद्धांतिक भौतिकी को आकार देना जारी रखा है। प्रो. जैन ने कहा कि सैद्धांतिक भौतिकी प्रकृति के प्रति हमारी समझ के केंद्र में है। सैद्धांतिक भौतिकी में प्रगति ने ऐतिहासिक रूप से वैज्ञानिक सोच को आकार दिया है और विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में परिवर्तनकारी विकास की नींव रखी है।2047 तक एक विकसित राष्ट्र बनने के लिए, भारत को विश्व स्तरीय वैज्ञानिक अनुसंधान बुनियादी ढांचे के साथ मजबूत संस्थानों का निर्माण करना अनिवार्य होगा। LTPI इसी दिशा में एक विशेष रूप से महत्वपूर्ण प्रयास होगा, क्योंकि यह भारत में पूरी तरह से निजी तौर पर वित्त पोषित पहला भौतिकी संस्थान होगा। उन्होंने बताया कि एक बड़ी शुरुआत के साथ, LTPI 'इमर्जेंट फेनोमेना इन क्वांटम हॉल सिस्टम्स' (EPQHS-10) पर 10वीं अंतर्राष्ट्रीय बैठक की मेजबानी कर रहा है । यह तीन दिवसीय कार्यशाला श्रृंखला दुनिया भर के कई प्रसिद्ध वैज्ञानिकों की मेजबानी करेगी, जो रोमांचक हालिया खोजों की घोषणा करेंगे और भौतिकी के क्षेत्र
