Khabar kolkata sports Desk: The Cricket Association of Bengal honoured India's cricket icon MS Dhoni on his illustrious career and immense contribution to the game by presenting the veteran wicketkeeper-batsman with a specially designed Eden Gardens souvenir. 

CAB President Snehasish Ganguly handed over the specially designed souvenir to Dhoni after the IPL match between KKR vs CSK at the Eden Gardens on Wednesday. 

Also present for the occasion were CAB Hony Secretary Naresh Ojha along with a host of other CAB officials and members. 

The specially designed Eden Gardens souvenir has a list of all the international matches hosted by the iconic ground since 1934 till date.

*Vision 2028 fifth phase begins with U-16, U-19 boys’ camps*

 Khabar kolkata sports Desk: The fifth phase of Vision 2028 got underway today at the JU 2nd Campus Ground, Salt Lake, with the Bengal Under-16 and Under-19 boys attending the camps. 

The bowling department was guided by former India pacer Venkatesh Prasad along with Bengal’s Ashok Dinda. 

Other coaches Ajay Verma, Dattatreya Mukherjee, Sourav Sarkar, Sanjib Sanyal also guided the boys. 

The fifth phase of the camp will be divided into two sessions for the first two days. From the third day onwards, the camp will be divided into three sessions being attended by U-16, U-19 and U-23 boys.  

The opening day’s session began with Prasad and Dinda delivering inspirational and motivation words to the young boys. The duo told the boys to use the camp as a learning experience. 

After a brief introduction, the batters took their stance at the crease and the bowlers prepared for their run-up, by practicing their bowling action. The coaches looked at the proceedings and watched the boys’ practice with hawk eyes. As the session went on, the coaches talked to the talents individually. 

 

The short-term goal of Vision 2028 will be to get the various age group squads ready for the domestic season by improving their skills while the long-term goals will be to nurture the future talents and make them fit for various Bengal age group squads.

*VISION 2028 FOURTH PHASE CONCLUDES*

Khabar kolkata sports Desk : The fourth phase of Vision 2028, which began on April 21, concluded today at the JU 2nd Campus Ground, Salt Lake.

On Wednesday, on the last day of the camp, the first session was attended by Bengal Under-16 boys where Manoj Tiwary was the batting coach, while the bowling department was looked after by Ashok Dinda. Coach Ajay Verma was also present to guide the boys.

The second session on the day, which was scheduled for Under-19 boys, was cancelled due to heavy rain.

The fourth phase of the camp was divided into two sessions every day.

On every session, Tiwary and Dinda delivered inspirational and motivation words to the young boys. The duo told the boys to use the camp as a learning experience.

The coaches looked at the proceedings and watched the boys’ practice with hawk eyes. As sessions went on, the coaches talked to the talents individually.

The short-term goal of Vision 2028 will be to get the various age group squads ready for the domestic season by improving their skills while the long-term goals will be to nurture the future talents and make them fit for various Bengal age group squads.

*Bengal Pro T20 League Women’s draft featured 188 cricketers*

Khabar kolkata sports Desk: A total of 128 women players were drafted from a pool of 188 cricketers in the second edition of the Bengal Pro T20 League at a glitzy ceremony at a city hotel on Monday.

The players were picked by the eight franchisees namely Sobisco Smashers Malda, Adamas Howrah Warriors, ServoTech Siliguri Strikers, Harbour Diamonds, Rarh Tigers Burdwan| Birbhum, Lux-Shyam Kolkata Tigers, Murshidabad Kueens and Reshmi Medinipur Wizards.

CAB Office bearers led by President Snehasish Ganguly, CAB Joint Secretary Debabrata Das, women’s cricket icon Jhulan Goswami, CAB Tour, Fixture and Technical Committee Chairman Sanjay Das were present along with Chairpersons of various CAB committees, former international players and former office bearers.

Also present were Bengal Pro T20 League committee members - Deep Chatterjee, Subhradeep Ganguly, Lopamudra Banerjee, Keya Ray, Surajit Lahiri, Ambarish Mitra, Soumendu Chatterjee, Joydeep Mukherjee, along with other CAB members.

Speaking about the draft, CAB President Mr Ganguly said: “A warm welcome to all former office bearers, international players, CAB members, all franchises for the women’s draft. The League has surely helped to uplift the standard of the game specially in the limited overs, the results in the last BCCI domestic season shows.

*CAB pays tribute to victims of Pahalgam terror attack*

Khabar kolkata News report : In a gesture of respect and solidarity, the Cricket Association of Bengal paid tribute to the victims of the terror attack in Pahalgam before the IPL match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings at the iconic Eden Gardens on Saturday.

To honour those who lost their lives, a minute’s silence was observed before the start of play.

The customary Eden bell, which has been rung for several years before the start of a match, was not done so on Saturday to pay tribute to the victims.

Present for the occasion were CAB President Snehasish Ganguly, CAB Secretary Naresh Ojha, CAB Treasurer Prabir Chakrabarty, CAB Vice President Amalendu Biswas, CAB Joint Secretary Debabrata Das along with other CAB officials and members. Also present was former Australia cricketer Brad Haddin.

The women’s competition, is a key feature of the Bengal Pro T20 League and will see top talent from across the state compete at one of the finest cricketing facilities in Birbhum district. The decision underscores the CAB’s commitment to promoting the game across Bengal and providing world-class opportunities for women cricketers.

President of CAB Snehasish Ganguly said, “We are delighted to take the Bengal Pro T20 League women’s matches to Dubrajpur. MGR Sports Academy offers excellent facilities and a passionate local cricket culture. It is important for us to expand the reach of the game across the state and ensure that every young cricketer, especially our talented women players, gets a platform to perform and inspire.”

सुप्रीम कोर्ट में एक याचिका दायर हुई है, जिसमें पश्चिम बंगाल में राष्ट्रपति शासन लागू करने की मांग की गई है।वकील विष्णु शंकर जैन ने जस्टिस बीआर गवई और जस्टिस ऑगस्टीन जॉर्ज मसीह की पीठ के समक्ष याचिका पेश की, जिसके बाद याचिका को कल सुनवाई के लिए सूचीबद्ध कर दिया गया।

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने सोमवार को बंगाल में राष्ट्रपति शासन लागू करने और पैरामिलिट्री फोर्स तैनात करने की याचिका सुनवाई की। याचिकाकर्ता ने अपील की थी कि वक्फ कानून के विरोध में हुई मुर्शिदाबाद हिंसा के बाद कोर्ट इस पर फैसला ले। इस पर जस्टिस बीआर गवई और जस्टिस एजी मसीह की बेंच ने कोई आदेश नहीं दिया। बेंच ने याचिकाकर्ता से पूछा, क्या आप चाहते हैं कि हम राष्ट्रपति को इसे लागू करने का आदेश भेजें? हम पर दूसरों के अधिकार क्षेत्र में दखलंदाजी के आरोप लग रहे हैं।

उपराष्ट्रपति धनखड़ ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट के फैसले पर उठाया सवाल

बता दें कि हाल ही भाजपा सांसद निशिकांत दुबे ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट पर कार्यपालिका के काम में दखल देने का आरोप लगाया है। जिस पर खासा विवाद हो रहा है। साथ ही उपराष्ट्रपति जगदीप धनखड़ ने भी सुप्रीम कोर्ट के एक फैसले पर सवाल उठाए थे और सुप्रीम कोर्ट पर सुपर संसद के रूप में काम करने का आरोप लगाया था।

उपराष्ट्रपति धनखड़ ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट के उस ऐतिहासिक फैसले पर सवाल उठाए थे, जिसमें शीर्ष अदालत ने राष्ट्रपति और राज्यपालों को निर्देश दिया था कि अगर कोई विधेयक संसद या विधानसभा की तरफ से दोबारा पारित किया गया हो, तो तीन महीने के भीतर उसे मंजूरी दी जाए।

उपराष्ट्रपति धनखड़ ने कहा, हम ऐसी स्थिति नहीं ला सकते, जहां राष्ट्रपति को निर्देश दिया जाए। उन्होंने गहरी चिंता व्यक्त करते हुए कहा, मैंने कभी नहीं सोचा था कि राष्ट्रपति को कोर्ट द्वारा निर्देशित किया जाएगा। राष्ट्रपति भारत की सेना की सर्वोच्च कमांडर हैं और केवल वही संविधान की रक्षा, संरक्षण और सुरक्षा की शपथ लेते हैं। फिर उन्हें एक निश्चित समय में निर्णय लेने का आदेश कैसे दिया जा सकता है।

बीजेपी सांसद निशिकांत दुबे ने लगाए गंभीर आरोप

वहीं इसके कुछ ही दिनों बाद बीजेपी सांसद निशिकांत दुबे ने न्यायपालिका पर गंभीर आरोप लगाते हुए कहा कि सुप्रीम कोर्ट देश में धार्मिक युद्ध भड़काने के लिए जिम्मेदार है। निशिकांत दुबे ने इसके साथ ही सुप्रीम कोर्ट पर निशाना साधते हुए कहा था, अगर शीर्ष अदालत को कानून बनाना है तो संसद और राज्य विधानसभाओं को बंद कर देना चाहिए।

Khabar kolkata sports Desk: In the CAB First Division Championship Quarterfinal matches on Saturday, both the bowlers and batters impressed on Day 2, displaying some dominant performances.

At the Videocon Ground, riding on brilliant batting performances by Kazi Junaid Saifi (161) and Sumanta Gupta (107), Barisha Sporting Club posted a challenging 429/7 at stumps. For Bhowanipur Club, Aamir Gani was the pick of the bowlers bagging 3 for 106.

At BCA Kalyani, Ranjot Singh Khaira (124) and Gitansh Khera (124) batted superbly as Mohun Bagan posted 380. Vaibhav Yadav bagged an impressive 6 for 108. In reply, Md Sporting Club were 53/1 at stumps, thanks to Sudip Chatterjee (38 not out).

At the Aditya Academy Barasat, Yuvraj Deepak Keswani smashed a brilliant 106 along with Avirup Gupta (53) as Town Club posted 280. Arun Chaprana bagged 4 for 42. In reply, Kalighat Club were 67/3 at stumps. Saksham Chaudhary bagged 2 wickets.

At the Deshbandhu Park Ground, Kanisk Seth (3-32) and Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal (3-42) were superb with the ball as East Bengal Club bowled out Shambazar Club for 179. In reply, East Bengal Club were 30/0 at stumps.

वहीं इसके कुछ ही दिनों बाद बीजेपी सांसद निशिकांत दुबे ने न्यायपालिका पर गंभीर आरोप लगाते हुए कहा कि सुप्रीम कोर्ट देश में धार्मिक युद्ध भड़काने के लिए जिम्मेदार है। निशिकांत दुबे ने इसके साथ ही सुप्रीम कोर्ट पर निशाना साधते हुए कहा था, अगर शीर्ष अदालत को कानून बनाना है तो संसद और राज्य विधानसभाओं को बंद कर देना चाहिए।

Khabar kolkata sports Desk: In the CAB First Division Championship Quarterfinal matches on Saturday, both the bowlers and batters impressed on Day 2, displaying some dominant performances.

At the Videocon Ground, riding on brilliant batting performances by Kazi Junaid Saifi (161) and Sumanta Gupta (107), Barisha Sporting Club posted a challenging 429/7 at stumps. For Bhowanipur Club, Aamir Gani was the pick of the bowlers bagging 3 for 106.

At BCA Kalyani, Ranjot Singh Khaira (124) and Gitansh Khera (124) batted superbly as Mohun Bagan posted 380. Vaibhav Yadav bagged an impressive 6 for 108. In reply, Md Sporting Club were 53/1 at stumps, thanks to Sudip Chatterjee (38 not out).

At the Aditya Academy Barasat, Yuvraj Deepak Keswani smashed a brilliant 106 along with Avirup Gupta (53) as Town Club posted 280. Arun Chaprana bagged 4 for 42. In reply, Kalighat Club were 67/3 at stumps. Saksham Chaudhary bagged 2 wickets.

At the Deshbandhu Park Ground, Kanisk Seth (3-32) and Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal (3-42) were superb with the ball as East Bengal Club bowled out Shambazar Club for 179. In reply, East Bengal Club were 30/0 at stumps.
