पश्चिम बंगाल में 13.69 प्रतिशत फर्जी मतदाता, SIR से पहले रिसर्च रिपोर्ट में बड़ा दावा


  


देशभर में मतदाता सूची को लेकर राजनीतिक दलों के बीच चल रही बहस अब पश्चिम बंगाल तक पहुंच गई है. बिहार में चुनाव आयोग के विशेष मतदाता पुनरीक्षण अभियान (SIR) के दौरान लाखों नाम काटे जाने के बाद अब पश्चिम बंगाल की मतदाता सूची पर भी सवाल खड़े हो गए हैं. विशेषज्ञों का मानना है कि राज्य की मतदाता सूची में करीब 13.69 प्रतिशत नाम फर्जी या मृतकों के हैं.

बिहार में 65 लाख से अधिक मतदाता सूची से हटाए जाने के बाद अब चुनाव आयोग ने संकेत दिया है कि पश्चिम बंगाल में भी एसआईआर अभियान चलाया जाएगा. हालांकि आयोग ने इस प्रक्रिया की समय-सीमा स्पष्ट नहीं की है.

पश्चिम बंगाल में आखिरी बार मतदाता सूची का गहन पुनरीक्षण 2002 में हुआ था. बीते 22 वर्षों में इस सूची की ठीक से समीक्षा नहीं की गई, जिसके चलते मृतकों और डुप्लीकेट नामों को हटाया ही नहीं गया.

शोध रिपोर्ट में चौंकाने वाले आंकड़े
अगस्त 2025 में प्रकाशित शोध Electoral Roll Inflation in West Bengal: A Demographic Reconstruction of Legitimate Voter Counts (2024) में विद्यु शेखर (एसपी जैन, मुंबई) और मिलन कुमार (आईआईएम विशाखापत्तनम) ने पश्चिम बंगाल की मतदाता सूची का गहन विश्लेषण किया है. अध्ययन के अनुसार, 2024 की मतदाता सूची में करीब 1.04 करोड़ अतिरिक्त नाम मौजूद हैं. यह कुल सूची का लगभग 13.69 प्रतिशत है. शोध में चेतावनी दी गई है कि यह आंकड़ा न्यूनतम है, वास्तविक संख्या इससे भी अधिक हो सकती है.

शोध में दावा किया गया है कि बिहार की तरह पश्चिम बंगाल की मतदाता सूची में भी मृत लोगों के नाम बड़े पैमाने पर दर्ज हैं। 2004 की सूची में राज्य में 4.74 करोड़ मतदाता थे. बीस साल बाद प्राकृतिक मृत्यु दर और उम्र के आधार पर अनुमान लगाया गया कि इनमें से लगभग एक करोड़ लोग अब जीवित नहीं हैं। इसके बावजूद उनके नाम मतदाता सूची से हटाए नहीं गए हैं.

अध्ययन के अनुसार, 1986 से 2006 के बीच जन्मे और 18 वर्ष की आयु पूरी करने वाले नए मतदाताओं को जोड़ने और प्रवासन को घटाने के बाद, 2024 में पश्चिम बंगाल में वैध मतदाताओं की संख्या करीब 6.57 करोड़ होनी चाहिए थी, लेकिन चुनाव आयोग के आंकड़ों में यह संख्या 7.61 करोड़ दर्ज है यानी करीब 1.04 करोड़ नाम अतिरिक्त पाए गए। यह अंतर चुनावी नतीजों पर बड़ा असर डाल सकता है.

अल्पसंख्यक इलाकों में मतदाताओं की संख्या में इजाफा
शोध में यह भी पाया गया कि अल्पसंख्यक बहुल इलाकों में मतदाता संख्या में असामान्य वृद्धि हुई है. कई क्षेत्रों में मतदाता संख्या वास्तविक जनसंख्या से भी अधिक दर्ज की गई. साथ ही 2011 के बाद राज्य से होने वाले पलायन को भी सूची में नहीं जोड़ा गया, जबकि यह संख्या लगातार बढ़ रही है. अगर इसे शामिल किया जाता तो वैध मतदाताओं की संख्या और कम हो जाती.

बिहार के अनुभव को देखते हुए अब पश्चिम बंगाल में भी यह आशंका गहराने लगी है कि बड़े पैमाने पर मतदाता सूची से नाम हट सकते हैं. इससे राजनीतिक दलों के बीच टकराव और बढ़ सकता है. विपक्ष जहां इसे फर्जी वोटरों को बचाने की साजिश बताएगा, वहीं सत्तारूढ़ दल इसे लोकतंत्र की मजबूती और पारदर्शिता के लिए आवश्यक कदम करार दे सकता है.

 Khabar kolkata sports Desk: In a glittering Annual Awards Ceremony on Saturday, the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) handed the Kartick Bose Lifetime Achievement Award to former cricketers Arup Bhattacharjee and Shyama Shaw.

India and Bengal fast bowler Akash Deep received a special award for his performance in the recent Test series against in England while Abhimanyu Easwaran also received a special award for being an important member in the India Test squad.

The sparkling ceremony, which was held at the gorgeous Dhono Dhanyo auditorium, saw CAB President Snehasish Ganguly rendering some inspirational words for the Bengal cricketers. 

“It is a special day for all the cricketers of Bengal. It’s a day of recognition for their hard work and also reward for their sacrifice they have done throughout the season. I would like to congratulate all the individuals who have received an award this evening for their performance in the season 2024-2025. I wish everyone the best for the upcoming season,” Mr Ganguly said.

Alongside CAB President Mr Ganguly, CAB Hony Secretary Naresh Ojha, CAB Vice President Amalendu Biswas, CAB Treasurer Prabir Chakrabarty were present. Also present were former BCCI and CAB President Sourav Ganguly, former CAB office bearers, Chairperson of various CAB committees, former international players, Apex Council Members and members of all affiliated units.

Also present was Kolkata Mayor Janab Firhad Hakim who was the chief guest for the Awards. West Bengal Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs Aroop Biswas and Member Mayor-In-Council Kolkata Municipal Corporation Debashish Kumar were also present. 

Arup Bhattacharjee, who received the lifetime achievement award, was a left-handed batsman and slow left arm orthodox bowler, who played 48 first-class matches for Bengal. 

Thanking the CAB for bestowing the prestigious award, Bhattacharjee said, “It is an emotional moment for me. I am honoured to receive this award from CAB. I want to thank everyone involved in my life for being a part of my cricketing journey. There are lots of memories. Thank you again."

Shyama Shaw, who received the lifetime achievement award, was a left-handed batsman and a left-arm seam bowler. She represented India in three Tests and five ODIs. 

“I want to thank CAB for honouring me with this award. It has been a long journey for me from my the start of my cricketing career. Thank you again," Shaw said.

Akash Deep, after receiving the award, said, "I would like to thank the CAB for this award. This Association has helped me in my cricketing journey immensely and helped me where I am today. I want to thank each and every one at CAB."

Sourav Ganguly praising the award winners said, "I would like to congratulate all the winners. Each and every player has worked hard to reach this stage. I wish everyone the best for the upcoming season."

Bengal Umpire Abhijit Bhattacharya was handed a special award for his contribution as an umpire not only in Bengal but also in Indian cricket, which includes Women’s Premier League and Indian Premier League.

The Bengal Under-15 women’s team and support staff were also felicitated for being champions in the BCCI One-Day tournament. 

Ratan Chowdhury, Rabi Shankar Chakraborty and Dhiman Biswas also received special awards for their immense contribution to Bengal local cricket as an umpire.

CAB Hony Secretary Naresh Ojha, during his speech, said, "Thank you all for being here for the Awards Ceremony. I want to thank CAB President Snehasish Ganguly, other office bearers, and members of media for being here for the ocassion. My congratulations to all the winners."

The winners who were awarded for their excellent performance on the field last season were – Sudip Kr Gharami, who was awarded with the Cricketer of the Year while Shahbaz Ahamad was awarded the Gentleman Cricketer of the Year. 

Sayan Ghosh won the Best Fast Bowler of the Year award while Sudip Chatterjee was awarded for being the highest run getter for Bengal in Ranji Trophy. Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal was awarded for being the highest wicket taker for Bengal in Ranji Trophy. 

Tanushree Sarkar received the Best Senior Women’s Cricketer of the Year award. Rahul Prasad received the Best Men’s U-23 Cricketer of the Year award. Dyuti Paul received the Best Women’s U-23 Cricketer of the Year award. Vishal Bhati received the Best Men’s U-19 Cricketer of the Year award. Yudhajit Guha received the Best Men’s U-19 Bowler of the Year award.

Ipshita Mondal received the Best Women’s U-19 Cricketer of the Year award. Sachin Yadav received the Best Men’s U-16 Cricketer of the Year award. Sandipta Patra received the Best Women’s U-15 Cricketer of the Year award. 

Arin Roy received the Best Men’s Senior District Cricketer of the Year award.

पीएम मोदी का आज बिहार और बंगाल का दौरा, दोनों राज्यों पर होगी सौगातों की बौछार

 प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी शुक्रवार आज बिहार और पश्चिम बंगाल के दौरे पर रहेंगे। पीएम मोदी पहले बिहार के गयाजी पहुंचेंगे वहां विभिन्‍न परियोजनाओं का शिलान्‍यास और उद्घाटन करेंगे। दोपहर बाद 1:30 बजे पीएम मोदी बेगूसराय में औंटा-सिमरिया गंगा पुल (एनएच-31) का दौरा करेंगे। पीएम मोदी मुजफ्फरपुर में बहुप्रतिक्षित होमी भाभा कैंसर अस्पताल का भी उद्घाटन करेंगे। इसके बाद वे शाम 4:15 बजे कोलकाता पहुंचेंगे और कोलकाता मेट्रो की नई लाइन का उद्घाटन करने के साथ ही मेट्रो ट्रेन में यात्रा भी करेंगेय़ कोलकाता में ही शाम 4:45 बजे पीएम मोदी विभिन्‍न परियोजनाओं का उद्घाटन और शिलान्‍यास करेंगे। इसे बाद शाम 5:30 बजे जनसभा को संबोधित करेंगे।

  


प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी आज बिहार को कई प्रमुख सौगातें देने जा रहे हैं। इसमें दो बेहद खास हैं, पहला, देश का सबसे चौड़ा पहला छह लेन पुल शामिल है। यह पुल औटा (मोकामा) से सिमरिया (बेगूसराय) के बीच बना एक्सपैंशन केबल तकनीक से बना हुआ है। छह लेन के इस पुल की चौड़ाई 34 मीटर है. आमतौर पर छह लेन के पुल की चौड़ाई 29.5 मीटर होती है, लेकिन सिमरिया पुल की चौड़ाई (डेक) 34 मीटर है। देश में मौजूद अन्य छह लेन पुलों की तुलना में यह साढ़े चार मीटर अधिक चौड़ा है। इससे अधिक संख्या में वाहनों की आवाजाही बेहद सुगमता से हो सकेगी। इसके निर्माण पर 1871 करोड़ रुपये का खर्च आया है। एप्रोच समेत इस पुल की कुल लंबाई 8.150 किमी है। गंगा नदी पर इसकी लंबाई 1.86 किमी है।

बुद्ध से जुड़े सभी स्थलों को जोड़ने वाली ट्रेन की सौगात
पीएम मोदी जिन योजनाओं की शुरूआत कर रहे हैं, उनमें  बुद्ध सर्किट से जुड़ स्थलों को जोड़ता हुए एक ट्रेन भी शामिल है। पीएम नरेंद्र मोदी बिहार-झारखंड के बुद्ध सर्किट में शामिल सभी स्थानों को जोड़ने वाली एक जोड़ी ट्रेन को भी हरी झंडी दिखाकर रवाना करेंगे। यह ट्रेन वैशाली से शुरू होकर नालंदा, राजगीर, गयाजी होते हुए कोडरमा (झारखंड) तक जाएगी। बिहार और झारखंड में मौजूद बुद्ध से जुड़े सभी स्थलों को यह ट्रेन एक साथ जोड़ेगी।

बिहार के बाद बंगाल जाएंगे पीएम मोदी
प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी आज बिहार के बाद पश्चिम बंगाल की यात्रा भी करेंगे। पीएम मोदी शाम करीब 4.15 बजे कोलकाता में 13.61 किलोमीटर लंबे नवनिर्मित मेट्रो नेटवर्क और इन मार्गों पर मेट्रो सेवाओं का शुभारंभ करेंगे। पीएम जेसोर रोड मेट्रो स्टेशन से जय हिंद बिमानबंदर और वापस मेट्रो की सवारी भी करेंगे। इसके अलावा, वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के जरिये वह सियालदह-एस्प्लेनेड मेट्रो सेवा और बेलेघाटा-हेमंत मुखोपाध्याय मेट्रो सेवा को भी हरी झंडी दिखाएंगे। क्षेत्र में सड़क अवसंरचना को बढ़ावा देने के लिए, प्रधानमंत्री 1,200 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक की लागत वाले 7.2 किलोमीटर लंबे छह-लेन एलिवेटेड कोना एक्सप्रेसवे की आधारशिला रखेंगे।

*When Test swap turned into a big hit for Eden Gardens*

 Khabar kolkata sports Desk: India hosting reigning World Test Champions South Africa at the iconic Eden Gardens in the first Test on November 14 will be no less than an exciting and nail-biting match.

With South Africa winning the historic title after beating Australia in the final, the excitement here in Kolkata has already scaled sky-high with the mega match coming up just in five months’ time. 

Interestingly, this match between India and South Africa, was originally scheduled to take place in New Delhi on Nov 14 and Eden Gardens was scheduled to host West Indies in the second Test on October 10. 

But CAB President Snehasish Ganguly took the initiative to speak to BCCI, persuading the Apex Body of cricket to allow Eden Gardens host India vs South Africa in November.

Eventually, BCCI swapped Kolkata Eden Gardens’ and New Delhi Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium’s allocated Test matches against West Indies and South Africa respectively during India’s upcoming home season.

The Test swap finally turned out to be a mega hit for Eden Gardens with the news of South Africa clinching the World Test Championship.

रायपुर- केंद्र सरकार के वित्त मंत्रालय ने आयकर विभाग में बड़े पैमाने पर प्रशासनिक फेरबदल करते हुए आधा दर्जन प्रधान मुख्य आयकर आयुक्त और मुख्य आयुक्तों को नई जिम्मेदारियां सौंपी हैं। इस फेरबदल के तहत आईआरएस अधिकारी नव रतन सोनी को मुख्य आयकर आयुक्त, एमपी और छत्तीसगढ़, रायपुर की जिम्मेदारी सौंपी गई है। फिलहाल नव रतन सोनी मध्यप्रदेश और छत्तीसगढ़ के प्रधान मुख्य आयकर आयुक्त के पद पर भोपाल में कार्यरत हैं। यह आदेश 1 जून 2025 से प्रभाव में आएगा और अगले आदेश तक लागू रहेगा।
जारी आदेश के अनुसार, जिन अधिकारियों को नई जिम्मेदारी दी गई है। उसमें शामिल नाम इस प्रकार हैं-

*Asia’s oldest football tournament now in five states as Imphal makes a comeback*

Sports Desk:  Asia’s oldest football tournament, the IndianOil Durand Cup, will be back with its 134th Edition and for the first time in its storied history, be hosted in as many as five states with Manipur’s capital Imphal, making a comeback after a two-year gap. The Durand Cup Organising Committee also announced the dates for this year’s tournament to be between July 22- August 23, 2025.

Kokrajhar in Assam will extend their status as Durand Cup hosts for the third consecutive year while Jamshedpur in Jharkhand and Shillong in Meghalaya were added as hosts last year. The century-old tournament shifted its home base to Kolkata – the Mecca of Indian Football, and the capital of West Bengal, from Delhi back in 2019, and, will also continue to hold that status for a sixth consecutive edition.

Since its transition to the East, the Durand Cup has reinstated itself as the country’s premiere competition, growing from 16 teams to 24 teams, including participation from all the Indian Super League (ISL) teams.

Organised by the Eastern Command of the Indian Army on behalf of the three Services, the tournament is unique in the sense that it pits Services teams against India’s best football clubs and over the past couple of editions, has also seen foreign participation with Army teams from neighbouring nations.

The Indian Army’s stated vision of expanding the reach of the historic tournament throughout the East and North-East is also now fully reflected with the choice of host cities this year.

A total of six venues, two in Kolkata (Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan and Kishore Bharti Krirangan) and one each in Imphal (Khuman Lampak stadium), Ranchi (Morhabadi Stadium) or Jamshedpur (JRD Tata Sports Complex), Shillong (Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium) and Kokrajhar (SAI Stadium) have been earmarked for the 134th IndianOil Durand Cup edition.

बंगाल में राष्ट्रपति शासन लगाने की मांग, याचिका पर सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने कहा- हम पर पहले ही लग रहे आरोप

सुप्रीम कोर्ट में एक याचिका दायर हुई है, जिसमें पश्चिम बंगाल में राष्ट्रपति शासन लागू करने की मांग की गई है।वकील विष्णु शंकर जैन ने जस्टिस बीआर गवई और जस्टिस ऑगस्टीन जॉर्ज मसीह की पीठ के समक्ष याचिका पेश की, जिसके बाद याचिका को कल सुनवाई के लिए सूचीबद्ध कर दिया गया।
 
सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने सोमवार को बंगाल में राष्ट्रपति शासन लागू करने और पैरामिलिट्री फोर्स तैनात करने की याचिका सुनवाई की। याचिकाकर्ता ने अपील की थी कि वक्फ कानून के विरोध में हुई मुर्शिदाबाद हिंसा के बाद कोर्ट इस पर फैसला ले। इस पर जस्टिस बीआर गवई और जस्टिस एजी मसीह की बेंच ने कोई आदेश नहीं दिया। बेंच ने याचिकाकर्ता से पूछा, क्या आप चाहते हैं कि हम राष्ट्रपति को इसे लागू करने का आदेश भेजें? हम पर दूसरों के अधिकार क्षेत्र में दखलंदाजी के आरोप लग रहे हैं।

बता दें कि हाल ही भाजपा सांसद निशिकांत दुबे ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट पर कार्यपालिका के काम में दखल देने का आरोप लगाया है। जिस पर खासा विवाद हो रहा है। साथ ही उपराष्ट्रपति जगदीप धनखड़ ने भी सुप्रीम कोर्ट के एक फैसले पर सवाल उठाए थे और सुप्रीम कोर्ट पर सुपर संसद के रूप में काम करने का आरोप लगाया था। 
उपराष्ट्रपति धनखड़ ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट के उस ऐतिहासिक फैसले पर सवाल उठाए थे, जिसमें शीर्ष अदालत ने राष्ट्रपति और राज्यपालों को निर्देश दिया था कि अगर कोई विधेयक संसद या विधानसभा की तरफ से दोबारा पारित किया गया हो, तो तीन महीने के भीतर उसे मंजूरी दी जाए।
उपराष्ट्रपति धनखड़ ने कहा, हम ऐसी स्थिति नहीं ला सकते, जहां राष्ट्रपति को निर्देश दिया जाए। उन्होंने गहरी चिंता व्यक्त करते हुए कहा, मैंने कभी नहीं सोचा था कि राष्ट्रपति को कोर्ट द्वारा निर्देशित किया जाएगा। राष्ट्रपति भारत की सेना की सर्वोच्च कमांडर हैं और केवल वही संविधान की रक्षा, संरक्षण और सुरक्षा की शपथ लेते हैं। फिर उन्हें एक निश्चित समय में निर्णय लेने का आदेश कैसे दिया जा सकता है।

बीजेपी सांसद निशिकांत दुबे ने लगाए गंभीर आरोप
वहीं इसके कुछ ही दिनों बाद बीजेपी सांसद निशिकांत दुबे ने न्यायपालिका पर गंभीर आरोप लगाते हुए कहा कि सुप्रीम कोर्ट देश में धार्मिक युद्ध भड़काने के लिए जिम्मेदार है। निशिकांत दुबे ने इसके साथ ही सुप्रीम कोर्ट पर निशाना साधते हुए कहा था, अगर शीर्ष अदालत को कानून बनाना है तो संसद और राज्य विधानसभाओं को बंद कर देना चाहिए।

पश्चिम बंगाल के राज्यपाल डॉ. सीवी आनंद बोस ने मुर्शिदाबाद में हाल ही में हुई हिंसा को लेकर गहरी चिंता जताई है। मुर्शिदाबाद का दौरा करने से पहले उन्होंने कहा कि वे पीड़ितो से मिलने के बाद और स्थिति का जायजा लेने के लिए जल्द ही हिंसा प्रभावित इलाके में जाएंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि मुर्शिदाबाद में जमीनी स्थिति का जायजा लूंगा। वहां जो कुछ भी हुआ इसकी रिपोर्ट केंद्र सरकार को सौंपेंगे।

पश्चिम बंगाल के राज्यपाल सी वी आनंद बोस शनिवार को मुर्शिदाबाद जिले के शमशेरगंज के दंगा प्रभावित इलाकों का दौरा करेंगे और स्थिति की समीक्षा करेंगे तथा प्रभावित लोगों से बातचीत करेंगे। बोस इसके बाद जिले के धुलियान, सुती और जंगीपुर में हिंसा प्रभावित अन्य इलाकों का दौरा करेंगे। 8 से 12 अप्रैल तक इन मुस्लिम बहुल इलाकों में वक्फ कानून के खिलाफ हुए प्रदर्शनों के दौरान हिंसा भड़क गई थी। इस हिंसा में कम से कम तीन लोगों की मौत हुई है। हिंसा के मामले में 274 से अधिक लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है।  

कानून व्यवस्था बनाए रखना राज्य सरकार की जिम्मेदारी-राज्यपाल
इससे पहले शुक्रवार को राज्यपाल सीवी आनंद बोस मालदा के आश्रय गृह पहुंचे थे। यहां मुर्शिदाबाद हिंसा से प्रभावित लोग रह रहे हैं। राज्यपाल ने कहा, लोगों ने बताया कि उनके साथ मारपीट हुई, घर जलाए गए। वे अब घर लौटना चाहते हैं। हम उन्हें सुरक्षा देंगे। लोगों ने चीख-चीख कर बताया, हमें पीटा गया, भगाया गया, हम क्या वापस जाएंगे, जब तक सुरक्षा की गांरटी नहीं मिलेगी?
मालदा पहुंचने राज्यपाल ने कहा, कानून व्यवस्था बनाए रखना राज्य सरकार की जिम्मेदारी है। अगर राज्य को मदद की जरूरत है, तो हम केंद्र बल भेजने के लिए तैयार है।

महिला आयोग की टीम भी मुर्शिदाबाद पहुंची
इस बीच, राष्ट्रीय महिला आयोग (एनसीडब्ल्यू) की अध्यक्ष विजया रहाटकर ने भी अपनी टीम के साथ शुक्रवार को मालदा और मुर्शिदाबाद का दौरा शुरू किया। कोलकाता में मीडिया से बात करते हुए रहाटकर ने कहा कि हमें सूचना मिली है कि प्रभावित इलाकों और राहत शिविरों में महिलाओं के साथ सही व्यवहार नहीं किया जा रहा है। राष्ट्रीय महिला आयोग ने एक जांच समिति गठित की है। हम पीड़ितों से बात करेंगे और विस्तृत रिपोर्ट प्रस्तुत करने से पहले स्थिति का आकलन करेंगे।

पश्चिम बंगाल में 13.69 प्रतिशत फर्जी मतदाता, SIR से पहले रिसर्च रिपोर्ट में बड़ा दावा


  


देशभर में मतदाता सूची को लेकर राजनीतिक दलों के बीच चल रही बहस अब पश्चिम बंगाल तक पहुंच गई है. बिहार में चुनाव आयोग के विशेष मतदाता पुनरीक्षण अभियान (SIR) के दौरान लाखों नाम काटे जाने के बाद अब पश्चिम बंगाल की मतदाता सूची पर भी सवाल खड़े हो गए हैं. विशेषज्ञों का मानना है कि राज्य की मतदाता सूची में करीब 13.69 प्रतिशत नाम फर्जी या मृतकों के हैं.

बिहार में 65 लाख से अधिक मतदाता सूची से हटाए जाने के बाद अब चुनाव आयोग ने संकेत दिया है कि पश्चिम बंगाल में भी एसआईआर अभियान चलाया जाएगा. हालांकि आयोग ने इस प्रक्रिया की समय-सीमा स्पष्ट नहीं की है.

पश्चिम बंगाल में आखिरी बार मतदाता सूची का गहन पुनरीक्षण 2002 में हुआ था. बीते 22 वर्षों में इस सूची की ठीक से समीक्षा नहीं की गई, जिसके चलते मृतकों और डुप्लीकेट नामों को हटाया ही नहीं गया.

शोध रिपोर्ट में चौंकाने वाले आंकड़े
अगस्त 2025 में प्रकाशित शोध Electoral Roll Inflation in West Bengal: A Demographic Reconstruction of Legitimate Voter Counts (2024) में विद्यु शेखर (एसपी जैन, मुंबई) और मिलन कुमार (आईआईएम विशाखापत्तनम) ने पश्चिम बंगाल की मतदाता सूची का गहन विश्लेषण किया है. अध्ययन के अनुसार, 2024 की मतदाता सूची में करीब 1.04 करोड़ अतिरिक्त नाम मौजूद हैं. यह कुल सूची का लगभग 13.69 प्रतिशत है. शोध में चेतावनी दी गई है कि यह आंकड़ा न्यूनतम है, वास्तविक संख्या इससे भी अधिक हो सकती है.

शोध में दावा किया गया है कि बिहार की तरह पश्चिम बंगाल की मतदाता सूची में भी मृत लोगों के नाम बड़े पैमाने पर दर्ज हैं। 2004 की सूची में राज्य में 4.74 करोड़ मतदाता थे. बीस साल बाद प्राकृतिक मृत्यु दर और उम्र के आधार पर अनुमान लगाया गया कि इनमें से लगभग एक करोड़ लोग अब जीवित नहीं हैं। इसके बावजूद उनके नाम मतदाता सूची से हटाए नहीं गए हैं.

अध्ययन के अनुसार, 1986 से 2006 के बीच जन्मे और 18 वर्ष की आयु पूरी करने वाले नए मतदाताओं को जोड़ने और प्रवासन को घटाने के बाद, 2024 में पश्चिम बंगाल में वैध मतदाताओं की संख्या करीब 6.57 करोड़ होनी चाहिए थी, लेकिन चुनाव आयोग के आंकड़ों में यह संख्या 7.61 करोड़ दर्ज है यानी करीब 1.04 करोड़ नाम अतिरिक्त पाए गए। यह अंतर चुनावी नतीजों पर बड़ा असर डाल सकता है.

अल्पसंख्यक इलाकों में मतदाताओं की संख्या में इजाफा
शोध में यह भी पाया गया कि अल्पसंख्यक बहुल इलाकों में मतदाता संख्या में असामान्य वृद्धि हुई है. कई क्षेत्रों में मतदाता संख्या वास्तविक जनसंख्या से भी अधिक दर्ज की गई. साथ ही 2011 के बाद राज्य से होने वाले पलायन को भी सूची में नहीं जोड़ा गया, जबकि यह संख्या लगातार बढ़ रही है. अगर इसे शामिल किया जाता तो वैध मतदाताओं की संख्या और कम हो जाती.

बिहार के अनुभव को देखते हुए अब पश्चिम बंगाल में भी यह आशंका गहराने लगी है कि बड़े पैमाने पर मतदाता सूची से नाम हट सकते हैं. इससे राजनीतिक दलों के बीच टकराव और बढ़ सकता है. विपक्ष जहां इसे फर्जी वोटरों को बचाने की साजिश बताएगा, वहीं सत्तारूढ़ दल इसे लोकतंत्र की मजबूती और पारदर्शिता के लिए आवश्यक कदम करार दे सकता है.

 Khabar kolkata sports Desk: In a glittering Annual Awards Ceremony on Saturday, the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) handed the Kartick Bose Lifetime Achievement Award to former cricketers Arup Bhattacharjee and Shyama Shaw.

India and Bengal fast bowler Akash Deep received a special award for his performance in the recent Test series against in England while Abhimanyu Easwaran also received a special award for being an important member in the India Test squad.

The sparkling ceremony, which was held at the gorgeous Dhono Dhanyo auditorium, saw CAB President Snehasish Ganguly rendering some inspirational words for the Bengal cricketers. 

“It is a special day for all the cricketers of Bengal. It’s a day of recognition for their hard work and also reward for their sacrifice they have done throughout the season. I would like to congratulate all the individuals who have received an award this evening for their performance in the season 2024-2025. I wish everyone the best for the upcoming season,” Mr Ganguly said.

Alongside CAB President Mr Ganguly, CAB Hony Secretary Naresh Ojha, CAB Vice President Amalendu Biswas, CAB Treasurer Prabir Chakrabarty were present. Also present were former BCCI and CAB President Sourav Ganguly, former CAB office bearers, Chairperson of various CAB committees, former international players, Apex Council Members and members of all affiliated units.

Also present was Kolkata Mayor Janab Firhad Hakim who was the chief guest for the Awards. West Bengal Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs Aroop Biswas and Member Mayor-In-Council Kolkata Municipal Corporation Debashish Kumar were also present. 

Arup Bhattacharjee, who received the lifetime achievement award, was a left-handed batsman and slow left arm orthodox bowler, who played 48 first-class matches for Bengal. 

Thanking the CAB for bestowing the prestigious award, Bhattacharjee said, “It is an emotional moment for me. I am honoured to receive this award from CAB. I want to thank everyone involved in my life for being a part of my cricketing journey. There are lots of memories. Thank you again."

Shyama Shaw, who received the lifetime achievement award, was a left-handed batsman and a left-arm seam bowler. She represented India in three Tests and five ODIs. 

“I want to thank CAB for honouring me with this award. It has been a long journey for me from my the start of my cricketing career. Thank you again," Shaw said.

Akash Deep, after receiving the award, said, "I would like to thank the CAB for this award. This Association has helped me in my cricketing journey immensely and helped me where I am today. I want to thank each and every one at CAB."

Sourav Ganguly praising the award winners said, "I would like to congratulate all the winners. Each and every player has worked hard to reach this stage. I wish everyone the best for the upcoming season."

Bengal Umpire Abhijit Bhattacharya was handed a special award for his contribution as an umpire not only in Bengal but also in Indian cricket, which includes Women’s Premier League and Indian Premier League.

The Bengal Under-15 women’s team and support staff were also felicitated for being champions in the BCCI One-Day tournament. 

Ratan Chowdhury, Rabi Shankar Chakraborty and Dhiman Biswas also received special awards for their immense contribution to Bengal local cricket as an umpire.

CAB Hony Secretary Naresh Ojha, during his speech, said, "Thank you all for being here for the Awards Ceremony. I want to thank CAB President Snehasish Ganguly, other office bearers, and members of media for being here for the ocassion. My congratulations to all the winners."

The winners who were awarded for their excellent performance on the field last season were – Sudip Kr Gharami, who was awarded with the Cricketer of the Year while Shahbaz Ahamad was awarded the Gentleman Cricketer of the Year. 

Sayan Ghosh won the Best Fast Bowler of the Year award while Sudip Chatterjee was awarded for being the highest run getter for Bengal in Ranji Trophy. Suraj Sindhu Jaiswal was awarded for being the highest wicket taker for Bengal in Ranji Trophy. 

Tanushree Sarkar received the Best Senior Women’s Cricketer of the Year award. Rahul Prasad received the Best Men’s U-23 Cricketer of the Year award. Dyuti Paul received the Best Women’s U-23 Cricketer of the Year award. Vishal Bhati received the Best Men’s U-19 Cricketer of the Year award. Yudhajit Guha received the Best Men’s U-19 Bowler of the Year award.

Ipshita Mondal received the Best Women’s U-19 Cricketer of the Year award. Sachin Yadav received the Best Men’s U-16 Cricketer of the Year award. Sandipta Patra received the Best Women’s U-15 Cricketer of the Year award. 

Arin Roy received the Best Men’s Senior District Cricketer of the Year award.

पीएम मोदी का आज बिहार और बंगाल का दौरा, दोनों राज्यों पर होगी सौगातों की बौछार

 प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी शुक्रवार आज बिहार और पश्चिम बंगाल के दौरे पर रहेंगे। पीएम मोदी पहले बिहार के गयाजी पहुंचेंगे वहां विभिन्‍न परियोजनाओं का शिलान्‍यास और उद्घाटन करेंगे। दोपहर बाद 1:30 बजे पीएम मोदी बेगूसराय में औंटा-सिमरिया गंगा पुल (एनएच-31) का दौरा करेंगे। पीएम मोदी मुजफ्फरपुर में बहुप्रतिक्षित होमी भाभा कैंसर अस्पताल का भी उद्घाटन करेंगे। इसके बाद वे शाम 4:15 बजे कोलकाता पहुंचेंगे और कोलकाता मेट्रो की नई लाइन का उद्घाटन करने के साथ ही मेट्रो ट्रेन में यात्रा भी करेंगेय़ कोलकाता में ही शाम 4:45 बजे पीएम मोदी विभिन्‍न परियोजनाओं का उद्घाटन और शिलान्‍यास करेंगे। इसे बाद शाम 5:30 बजे जनसभा को संबोधित करेंगे।

  


प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी आज बिहार को कई प्रमुख सौगातें देने जा रहे हैं। इसमें दो बेहद खास हैं, पहला, देश का सबसे चौड़ा पहला छह लेन पुल शामिल है। यह पुल औटा (मोकामा) से सिमरिया (बेगूसराय) के बीच बना एक्सपैंशन केबल तकनीक से बना हुआ है। छह लेन के इस पुल की चौड़ाई 34 मीटर है. आमतौर पर छह लेन के पुल की चौड़ाई 29.5 मीटर होती है, लेकिन सिमरिया पुल की चौड़ाई (डेक) 34 मीटर है। देश में मौजूद अन्य छह लेन पुलों की तुलना में यह साढ़े चार मीटर अधिक चौड़ा है। इससे अधिक संख्या में वाहनों की आवाजाही बेहद सुगमता से हो सकेगी। इसके निर्माण पर 1871 करोड़ रुपये का खर्च आया है। एप्रोच समेत इस पुल की कुल लंबाई 8.150 किमी है। गंगा नदी पर इसकी लंबाई 1.86 किमी है।

बुद्ध से जुड़े सभी स्थलों को जोड़ने वाली ट्रेन की सौगात
पीएम मोदी जिन योजनाओं की शुरूआत कर रहे हैं, उनमें  बुद्ध सर्किट से जुड़ स्थलों को जोड़ता हुए एक ट्रेन भी शामिल है। पीएम नरेंद्र मोदी बिहार-झारखंड के बुद्ध सर्किट में शामिल सभी स्थानों को जोड़ने वाली एक जोड़ी ट्रेन को भी हरी झंडी दिखाकर रवाना करेंगे। यह ट्रेन वैशाली से शुरू होकर नालंदा, राजगीर, गयाजी होते हुए कोडरमा (झारखंड) तक जाएगी। बिहार और झारखंड में मौजूद बुद्ध से जुड़े सभी स्थलों को यह ट्रेन एक साथ जोड़ेगी।

बिहार के बाद बंगाल जाएंगे पीएम मोदी
प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी आज बिहार के बाद पश्चिम बंगाल की यात्रा भी करेंगे। पीएम मोदी शाम करीब 4.15 बजे कोलकाता में 13.61 किलोमीटर लंबे नवनिर्मित मेट्रो नेटवर्क और इन मार्गों पर मेट्रो सेवाओं का शुभारंभ करेंगे। पीएम जेसोर रोड मेट्रो स्टेशन से जय हिंद बिमानबंदर और वापस मेट्रो की सवारी भी करेंगे। इसके अलावा, वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के जरिये वह सियालदह-एस्प्लेनेड मेट्रो सेवा और बेलेघाटा-हेमंत मुखोपाध्याय मेट्रो सेवा को भी हरी झंडी दिखाएंगे। क्षेत्र में सड़क अवसंरचना को बढ़ावा देने के लिए, प्रधानमंत्री 1,200 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक की लागत वाले 7.2 किलोमीटर लंबे छह-लेन एलिवेटेड कोना एक्सप्रेसवे की आधारशिला रखेंगे।

*When Test swap turned into a big hit for Eden Gardens*

 Khabar kolkata sports Desk: India hosting reigning World Test Champions South Africa at the iconic Eden Gardens in the first Test on November 14 will be no less than an exciting and nail-biting match.

With South Africa winning the historic title after beating Australia in the final, the excitement here in Kolkata has already scaled sky-high with the mega match coming up just in five months’ time. 

Interestingly, this match between India and South Africa, was originally scheduled to take place in New Delhi on Nov 14 and Eden Gardens was scheduled to host West Indies in the second Test on October 10. 

But CAB President Snehasish Ganguly took the initiative to speak to BCCI, persuading the Apex Body of cricket to allow Eden Gardens host India vs South Africa in November.

Eventually, BCCI swapped Kolkata Eden Gardens’ and New Delhi Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium’s allocated Test matches against West Indies and South Africa respectively during India’s upcoming home season.

The Test swap finally turned out to be a mega hit for Eden Gardens with the news of South Africa clinching the World Test Championship.

रायपुर- केंद्र सरकार के वित्त मंत्रालय ने आयकर विभाग में बड़े पैमाने पर प्रशासनिक फेरबदल करते हुए आधा दर्जन प्रधान मुख्य आयकर आयुक्त और मुख्य आयुक्तों को नई जिम्मेदारियां सौंपी हैं। इस फेरबदल के तहत आईआरएस अधिकारी नव रतन सोनी को मुख्य आयकर आयुक्त, एमपी और छत्तीसगढ़, रायपुर की जिम्मेदारी सौंपी गई है। फिलहाल नव रतन सोनी मध्यप्रदेश और छत्तीसगढ़ के प्रधान मुख्य आयकर आयुक्त के पद पर भोपाल में कार्यरत हैं। यह आदेश 1 जून 2025 से प्रभाव में आएगा और अगले आदेश तक लागू रहेगा।
जारी आदेश के अनुसार, जिन अधिकारियों को नई जिम्मेदारी दी गई है। उसमें शामिल नाम इस प्रकार हैं-

Sports Desk:  Asia’s oldest football tournament, the IndianOil Durand Cup, will be back with its 134th Edition and for the first time in its storied history, be hosted in as many as five states with Manipur’s capital Imphal, making a comeback after a two-year gap. The Durand Cup Organising Committee also announced the dates for this year’s tournament to be between July 22- August 23, 2025.

Kokrajhar in Assam will extend their status as Durand Cup hosts for the third consecutive year while Jamshedpur in Jharkhand and Shillong in Meghalaya were added as hosts last year. The century-old tournament shifted its home base to Kolkata – the Mecca of Indian Football, and the capital of West Bengal, from Delhi back in 2019, and, will also continue to hold that status for a sixth consecutive edition.

Since its transition to the East, the Durand Cup has reinstated itself as the country’s premiere competition, growing from 16 teams to 24 teams, including participation from all the Indian Super League (ISL) teams.

Organised by the Eastern Command of the Indian Army on behalf of the three Services, the tournament is unique in the sense that it pits Services teams against India’s best football clubs and over the past couple of editions, has also seen foreign participation with Army teams from neighbouring nations.

The Indian Army’s stated vision of expanding the reach of the historic tournament throughout the East and North-East is also now fully reflected with the choice of host cities this year.

A total of six venues, two in Kolkata (Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan and Kishore Bharti Krirangan) and one each in Imphal (Khuman Lampak stadium), Ranchi (Morhabadi Stadium) or Jamshedpur (JRD Tata Sports Complex), Shillong (Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium) and Kokrajhar (SAI Stadium) have been earmarked for the 134th IndianOil Durand Cup edition.

बंगाल में राष्ट्रपति शासन लगाने की मांग, याचिका पर सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने कहा- हम पर पहले ही लग रहे आरोप

सुप्रीम कोर्ट में एक याचिका दायर हुई है, जिसमें पश्चिम बंगाल में राष्ट्रपति शासन लागू करने की मांग की गई है।वकील विष्णु शंकर जैन ने जस्टिस बीआर गवई और जस्टिस ऑगस्टीन जॉर्ज मसीह की पीठ के समक्ष याचिका पेश की, जिसके बाद याचिका को कल सुनवाई के लिए सूचीबद्ध कर दिया गया।
 
सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने सोमवार को बंगाल में राष्ट्रपति शासन लागू करने और पैरामिलिट्री फोर्स तैनात करने की याचिका सुनवाई की। याचिकाकर्ता ने अपील की थी कि वक्फ कानून के विरोध में हुई मुर्शिदाबाद हिंसा के बाद कोर्ट इस पर फैसला ले। इस पर जस्टिस बीआर गवई और जस्टिस एजी मसीह की बेंच ने कोई आदेश नहीं दिया। बेंच ने याचिकाकर्ता से पूछा, क्या आप चाहते हैं कि हम राष्ट्रपति को इसे लागू करने का आदेश भेजें? हम पर दूसरों के अधिकार क्षेत्र में दखलंदाजी के आरोप लग रहे हैं।

  


उपराष्ट्रपति धनखड़ ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट के फैसले पर उठाया सवाल
बता दें कि हाल ही भाजपा सांसद निशिकांत दुबे ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट पर कार्यपालिका के काम में दखल देने का आरोप लगाया है। जिस पर खासा विवाद हो रहा है। साथ ही उपराष्ट्रपति जगदीप धनखड़ ने भी सुप्रीम कोर्ट के एक फैसले पर सवाल उठाए थे और सुप्रीम कोर्ट पर सुपर संसद के रूप में काम करने का आरोप लगाया था। 
उपराष्ट्रपति धनखड़ ने सुप्रीम कोर्ट के उस ऐतिहासिक फैसले पर सवाल उठाए थे, जिसमें शीर्ष अदालत ने राष्ट्रपति और राज्यपालों को निर्देश दिया था कि अगर कोई विधेयक संसद या विधानसभा की तरफ से दोबारा पारित किया गया हो, तो तीन महीने के भीतर उसे मंजूरी दी जाए।
उपराष्ट्रपति धनखड़ ने कहा, हम ऐसी स्थिति नहीं ला सकते, जहां राष्ट्रपति को निर्देश दिया जाए। उन्होंने गहरी चिंता व्यक्त करते हुए कहा, मैंने कभी नहीं सोचा था कि राष्ट्रपति को कोर्ट द्वारा निर्देशित किया जाएगा। राष्ट्रपति भारत की सेना की सर्वोच्च कमांडर हैं और केवल वही संविधान की रक्षा, संरक्षण और सुरक्षा की शपथ लेते हैं। फिर उन्हें एक निश्चित समय में निर्णय लेने का आदेश कैसे दिया जा सकता है।

बीजेपी सांसद निशिकांत दुबे ने लगाए गंभीर आरोप
वहीं इसके कुछ ही दिनों बाद बीजेपी सांसद निशिकांत दुबे ने न्यायपालिका पर गंभीर आरोप लगाते हुए कहा कि सुप्रीम कोर्ट देश में धार्मिक युद्ध भड़काने के लिए जिम्मेदार है। निशिकांत दुबे ने इसके साथ ही सुप्रीम कोर्ट पर निशाना साधते हुए कहा था, अगर शीर्ष अदालत को कानून बनाना है तो संसद और राज्य विधानसभाओं को बंद कर देना चाहिए।

पश्चिम बंगाल के राज्यपाल डॉ. सीवी आनंद बोस ने मुर्शिदाबाद में हाल ही में हुई हिंसा को लेकर गहरी चिंता जताई है। मुर्शिदाबाद का दौरा करने से पहले उन्होंने कहा कि वे पीड़ितो से मिलने के बाद और स्थिति का जायजा लेने के लिए जल्द ही हिंसा प्रभावित इलाके में जाएंगे। उन्होंने कहा कि मुर्शिदाबाद में जमीनी स्थिति का जायजा लूंगा। वहां जो कुछ भी हुआ इसकी रिपोर्ट केंद्र सरकार को सौंपेंगे।

पश्चिम बंगाल के राज्यपाल सी वी आनंद बोस शनिवार को मुर्शिदाबाद जिले के शमशेरगंज के दंगा प्रभावित इलाकों का दौरा करेंगे और स्थिति की समीक्षा करेंगे तथा प्रभावित लोगों से बातचीत करेंगे। बोस इसके बाद जिले के धुलियान, सुती और जंगीपुर में हिंसा प्रभावित अन्य इलाकों का दौरा करेंगे। 8 से 12 अप्रैल तक इन मुस्लिम बहुल इलाकों में वक्फ कानून के खिलाफ हुए प्रदर्शनों के दौरान हिंसा भड़क गई थी। इस हिंसा में कम से कम तीन लोगों की मौत हुई है। हिंसा के मामले में 274 से अधिक लोगों को गिरफ्तार किया गया है।  

कानून व्यवस्था बनाए रखना राज्य सरकार की जिम्मेदारी-राज्यपाल
इससे पहले शुक्रवार को राज्यपाल सीवी आनंद बोस मालदा के आश्रय गृह पहुंचे थे। यहां मुर्शिदाबाद हिंसा से प्रभावित लोग रह रहे हैं। राज्यपाल ने कहा, लोगों ने बताया कि उनके साथ मारपीट हुई, घर जलाए गए। वे अब घर लौटना चाहते हैं। हम उन्हें सुरक्षा देंगे। लोगों ने चीख-चीख कर बताया, हमें पीटा गया, भगाया गया, हम क्या वापस जाएंगे, जब तक सुरक्षा की गांरटी नहीं मिलेगी?
मालदा पहुंचने राज्यपाल ने कहा, कानून व्यवस्था बनाए रखना राज्य सरकार की जिम्मेदारी है। अगर राज्य को मदद की जरूरत है, तो हम केंद्र बल भेजने के लिए तैयार है।

महिला आयोग की टीम भी मुर्शिदाबाद पहुंची
इस बीच, राष्ट्रीय महिला आयोग (एनसीडब्ल्यू) की अध्यक्ष विजया रहाटकर ने भी अपनी टीम के साथ शुक्रवार को मालदा और मुर्शिदाबाद का दौरा शुरू किया। कोलकाता में मीडिया से बात करते हुए रहाटकर ने कहा कि हमें सूचना मिली है कि प्रभावित इलाकों और राहत शिविरों में महिलाओं के साथ सही व्यवहार नहीं किया जा रहा है। राष्ट्रीय महिला आयोग ने एक जांच समिति गठित की है। हम पीड़ितों से बात करेंगे और विस्तृत रिपोर्ट प्रस्तुत करने से पहले स्थिति का आकलन करेंगे।
