*বীজপুর:* পুজোর আগেই মানবিক উদ্যোগ পূর্বাঞ্চল সমাজের। সংগঠনের পক্ষ থেকে বীজপুরের বিধায়ক সুদীপ্ত দাসকে সম্বর্ধনা দেওয়া হলো। পাশাপাশি এলাকার ছোট ছোট পড়ুয়াদের মধ্যে স্কুল ব্যাগ বিতরণ করা হয়।অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন এলাকার বিশিষ্টজনেরা। পড়ুয়াদের হাতে নতুন ব্যাগ তুলে দেন বিধায়ক নিজেই।
  

  
অনুষ্ঠান শেষে সাংবাদিকদের মুখোমুখি হয়ে বিধায়ক সুদীপ্ত দাস বলেন, “পুজোর আগে ছাত্র-ছাত্রীদের মধ্যে বই বিতরণের এই অনুষ্ঠানে আমরা সবাই একসঙ্গে হয়েছি। সবার সঙ্গে পরিচয় হলো, আত্মীয়তার বন্ধন আরও দৃঢ় হলো।”
  

  
তিনি আরও বলেন, হিন্দু ধর্মে প্রায় সব দেবদেবীর হাতেই অস্ত্র থাকে, যার প্রতীকী অর্থ দুষ্টের দমন ও শিষ্টের পালন। দেশের অখণ্ডতা রক্ষায় সব ভারতীয়কে ঐক্যবদ্ধ থাকতে হবে। হিন্দু, মুসলিম, খ্রিস্টান, জৈন, পার্সি - যারাই ভারতীয়, তারাই এই দেশের নাগরিক। ‘ভারত মাতা কি জয়’ ও ‘বন্দে মাতরম’ স্লোগান দেশের প্রতি সম্মানের প্রতীক। যারা দেশের অখণ্ডতার বিরুদ্ধে কথা বলে, তাদের বিরুদ্ধে দলমত নির্বিশেষে সকলকে একজোট হয়ে রুখে দাঁড়াতে হবে, যাতে ভারতকে আর কখনও পরাধীনতার সম্মুখীন না হতে হয়।

The licence is a ladder
A trailer licence is not a standalone licence. It is an endorsement added to an existing heavy vehicle licence, and it sits at the top of a sequence. A driver starts with an LMV licence, adds a transport or commercial endorsement, moves up to a heavy goods vehicle licence (HMV or HTV), and only then qualifies for the trailer endorsement that covers articulated and multi-axle vehicles. Each step generally requires holding the previous one for a qualifying period set by the RTO. Commercial driving in Kerala also needs a separate driver's badge.
"Half the people who call us have planned around a timeline they read online, and then find their licence dates don't qualify them yet," said Aravind, Executive Director of A2Z International Heavy Equipment Institute. "The first thing any trailer driving school in Kerala should do is look at what you hold and when you got it. Then we can tell you your real route, and it saves people months."
What the practical test asks for
The trailer practical tests five things: a pre-trip inspection including the coupling, coupling and uncoupling, controlled manoeuvring and turning with the articulation, reversing, and safe road handling under load. Reversing is where most candidates fail. In reverse, an articulated trailer swings the opposite way to the steering input.
"People expect the highway to be the hard part," Aravind said. "Then you ask a man to reverse a trailer into a bay, and for the first week he turns the wheel the wrong way every time. You can't learn that from a video. You need hours on a real trailer with an instructor next to you telling you what your hands are doing."
Two courses on one owned fleet
A2Z trains on trailers it owns, on a dedicated practice ground, instead of booking time on hired vehicles. Students can choose normal trailer training or container trailer training. Both follow a seven-stage curriculum: vehicle parts, controls and pre-trip checks; coupling and uncoupling; reversing, turning and manoeuvring; container handling and load securing; highway driving, gradients and braking; daily checks and basic maintenance; and licence and assessment preparation.
Graduates receive ISO and Operator Card certification along with guidance on heavy transport licensing. The main campus at Willingdon Island has a hostel for students who travel in.
A trailer driving school in Kerala with its own vehicles can give students more practice. On a hired trailer, time runs out when the booking ends. On an owned one, students keep practising until the reverse is under control.

Who can join
Entry depends on the licence ladder rather than on education. The minimum age follows RTO norms for heavy vehicles, which is higher than the age for a car licence. Candidates need basic physical fitness and government photo ID and proof of address, and an existing light vehicle licence helps.

बिहार में बेटियों के साथ बदसलूकी का सिलसिला जारी है। जमुई, मधेपुरा और बांका के बाद महिलाओं के खिलाफ अपराध थमने का नाम नहीं ले रहे हैं। अब समस्तीपुर में समाज और कानून के तथाकथिक ठेकेदारों ने एक और लड़की के साथ अश्लील हरकत की है। समस्तीपुर जिले से एक लड़की के साथ सरेआम अभद्रता, मारपीट और कपड़े खींचने की शर्मनाक घटना का वीडियो सोशल मीडिया पर तेजी से वायरल हो रहा है। लगातार सामने आ रही ऐसी घटनाओं से परिजनों और बेटियों के बीच डर का माहौल व्याप्त हो गया है।

  

तीन दिनों में जिले में ऐसा तीसरा वीडियो वायरल
समस्तीपुर जिले में नाबालिग युवतियों से मारपीट और बदसलूकी से जुड़े वीडियो सामने आने का सिलसिला थमने का नाम नहीं ले रहा है। पिछले तीन दिनों के भीतर जिले से ऐसा तीसरा वीडियो सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल हुआ है। नया मामला जिले के कल्याणपुर थाना क्षेत्र का बताया जा रहा है। वायरल वीडियो में कुछ लोग एक नाबालिग लड़की को घेरकर उसके साथ मारपीट करते नजर आ रहे हैं। वीडियो में लोगों को लड़की का दुपट्टा खींचते और उसका हाथ मरोड़ते हुए भी देखा जा रहा है।

  

पुलिस महकमे में भी हलचल
वायरल वीडियो सोशल मीडिया पर तेजी से प्रसारित होने के बाद पुलिस महकमे में भी हलचल है। मामले को लेकर समस्तीपुर के पुलिस अधीक्षक अरविंद प्रताप सिंह ने कहा कि वायरल वीडियो की जांच की जा रही है। फिलहाल यह स्पष्ट नहीं हुआ है कि वीडियो कल्याणपुर थाना क्षेत्र का ही है या किसी दूसरे स्थान का।

  

तेजस्वी यादव और चिराग पासवान हमलावर

కరీంనగర్/కొత్తపల్లి: గణేశ్ విగ్రహాల నిమజ్జనం కోసం ఎస్సారెస్పీ మెయిన్ కెనాల్‌కు సోమవారం నీటిని విడుదల చేశారు. నవరాత్రి ఉత్సవాలు ముగియనున్న నేపథ్యంలో కరీంనగర్ జిల్లాలోని కాకతీయ కాల్వలు, డిస్ట్రిబ్యూటరీ కాల్వల్లో నిమజ్జనానికి ఇబ్బందులు లేకుండా నీటిని విడుదల చేయాలని చొప్పదండి ఎమ్మెల్యే మేడిపల్లి సత్యం ప్రాజెక్టు చీఫ్ ఇంజినీర్‌ను కోరారు.

కొన్నేళ్లుగా గణేశ్ విగ్రహాలను కాకతీయ కాల్వలతో పాటు పలు డిస్ట్రిబ్యూటరీ కాల్వల్లో నిమజ్జనం చేస్తున్నారని, ప్రస్తుతం కాల్వల్లో నీరు లేక భక్తులు ఇబ్బందులు ఎదుర్కొంటున్నారని ఎమ్మెల్యే అధికారుల దృష్టికి తీసుకెళ్లారు. దీంతో ఎమ్మెల్యే సూచన మేరకు నీటిని విడుదల చేస్తామని ప్రాజెక్టు సీఈ తెలిపారు.

సోమవారం ఉదయం 11 గంటలకు తొలుత 500 క్యూసెక్కుల నీటిని విడుదల చేశారు. అనంతరం సాయంత్రం మరో 3 వేల క్యూసెక్కుల నీటిని వదిలారు. కరీంనగర్ నగరంలో పెద్ద సంఖ్యలో గణేశ్ విగ్రహాలను నిమజ్జనం చేసే చింతకుంట కెనాల్‌కు మంగళవారం రాత్రి వరకు నీరు చేరే అవకాశం ఉందని అధికారులు తెలిపారు.

*চন্দৌসি, সম্ভল:* মুম্বইয়ের পর এবার উত্তরপ্রদেশের সম্ভল জেলার চন্দৌসিতে আয়োজিত মেলা গণেশ চতুর্থীতে সম্প্রীতির অনন্য নজির। মুসলিম সমাজের পক্ষ থেকে বাবা গণেশকে ২ কুইন্টাল লাড্ডুর ভোগ নিবেদন করা হলো।
  

  
আজ এই মেলার রথযাত্রার আয়োজন করা হবে, যার উদ্বোধন করলেন কেন্দ্রীয় মন্ত্রী বি.এল. বর্মা। গত ১২ সেপ্টেম্বর সর্বধর্মের প্রতিনিধিদের উপস্থিতিতে ফিতে কেটে মেলা গণেশ চতুর্থীর উদ্বোধন করা হয়েছিল। আজকের রথযাত্রায় স্বয়ংক্রিয় ঝাঁকি অন্তর্ভুক্ত থাকবে, যা শহর পরিক্রমা করবে।
  

  
এই উপলক্ষ্যে মুসলিম সমাজের মানুষজন গণেশজিকে ভোগ হিসেবে ২ কুইন্টাল লাড্ডু নিবেদন করেন। ২০০১ সাল থেকে প্রতি বছর মুসলিম সমাজের পক্ষ থেকে গণেশজিকে এই ভোগ অর্পণ করা হয়।
  

  
এ বিষয়ে ইসহাক বেগ জানান, মুসলিম সমাজের পক্ষ থেকে প্রতি বছর লাড্ডুর ভোগ নিবেদন করা হয়। এই লাড্ডু পারস্পরিক ভ্রাতৃত্ব ও সম্প্রীতির প্রতীক। এবছর লাড্ডুর ওজন ২ কুইন্টাল।

কলকাতা: স্বামী একতরফা আদালত থেকে বিচ্ছেদের(ডিভোর্স )কাগজ নিয়ে এলেই খোরপোশের দায়িত্ব শেষ হয়ে যায় না। যদি প্রাক্তন স্ত্রী দ্বিতীয় বিয়ে না করেন এবং নিজে রোজগার করে চলতে না পারেন, তাহলে স্বামীকেই তাঁকে খোরপোশ দিতে হবে। এমনই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ রায় দিল কলকাতা হাইকোর্ট।

একই সঙ্গে আদালত আরও জানিয়েছে, যে অবিবাহিত মেয়ে মামলা করার আগেই ১৮ বছর পেরিয়ে গেছে এবং সে শারীরিক বা মানসিক দিক থেকে অসুস্থ নয়, সে বাবার কাছে খোরপোশ চাইতে পারবে না।

কী হয়েছিল ঘটনাটা?

হাওড়ার উলুবেড়িয়া আদালতে এক মহিলা তাঁর স্বামীর বিরুদ্ধে খোরপোশের মামলা করেছিলেন। সেটা ২০১৯ সালের মামলা। পরে সেই খোরপোশের টাকা না দেওয়ায় টাকা আদায়ের জন্য আরেকটি মামলা হয় ২০২১ সালে।

এর মাঝে স্বামী একতরফা ভাবে বিচ্ছেদের(ডিভোর্স )ডিক্রি পেয়ে যান। তখন তিনি আদালতে গিয়ে বলেন, বিচ্ছেদ হয়ে গেছে তাই খোরপোশের মামলা আর চলতে পারে না। উলুবেড়িয়া আদালত তাঁর কথা মানেনি। তাঁকে খোরপোশ দিতে বলা হয় এবং টাকা না দেওয়ায় তাঁর বিরুদ্ধে গ্রেফতারি পরোয়ানা জারি হয়।

সেই আদেশকে চ্যালেঞ্জ করে স্বামী সমর পাল কলকাতা হাইকোর্টে মামলা দায়ের করেন,তাঁর স্ত্রী জ্যোৎস্না পালের বিরুদ্ধে এই মামলা।

হাইকোর্ট কী বলল?

বিচারপতি উদয় কুমার সমর পালের আবেদনটি আংশিক মঞ্জুর করেন। তিনি বলেন,

১. আইনে পরিষ্কার বলা আছে, ডিভোর্সী স্ত্রীও স্ত্রী হিসেবেই গণ্য হবেন, যদি তিনি দ্বিতীয় বিয়ে না করেন। তাই একতরফা বিচ্ছেদ (ডিভোর্স)হয়ে গেলেও খোরপোশের দায় শেষ হয় না।

২. এই খোরপোশের আইনের উদ্দেশ্য হলো, কোনো অসহায় মহিলা যাতে ভবঘুরে হয়ে না যান, সেটা দেখা। এটা সামাজিক ন্যায়বিচারের জন্য করা হয়েছে।

৩. তাই স্ত্রীর খোরপোশ বহাল থাকবে। স্বামীকে তা দিতেই হবে।

৪. কিন্তু মেয়ের ক্ষেত্রে আদালত বলে, মেয়ে মামলা করার আগেই প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক হয়ে গেছে। সে সুস্থ। তাই আইন অনুযায়ী সে আর বাবার কাছে খোরপোশ পাবে না।

এই রায়ে আদালত স্ত্রীর খোরপোশ বহাল রাখলেও, প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক মেয়ের খোরপোশের দাবি খারিজ করে দিয়েছে।

*বীজপুর:* পুজোর আগেই মানবিক উদ্যোগ পূর্বাঞ্চল সমাজের। সংগঠনের পক্ষ থেকে বীজপুরের বিধায়ক সুদীপ্ত দাসকে সম্বর্ধনা দেওয়া হলো। পাশাপাশি এলাকার ছোট ছোট পড়ুয়াদের মধ্যে স্কুল ব্যাগ বিতরণ করা হয়।অনুষ্ঠানে উপস্থিত ছিলেন এলাকার বিশিষ্টজনেরা। পড়ুয়াদের হাতে নতুন ব্যাগ তুলে দেন বিধায়ক নিজেই।

Trailer Driving School in Kerala: Master the Reverse That Fails Most Candidates, on A2Z's Own Trailers


A2Z International Heavy Equipment Institute, training drivers and operators in Kerala since 1978, runs normal and container trailer courses on its own vehicles and practice ground, with 19 branches and a main campus at Willingdon Island, Kochi.A2Z International Heavy Equipment Institute runs two trailer courses, one for normal trailers and one for container trailers, aimed at drivers who want work at ports, with logistics companies and in heavy haulage in India and the Gulf. The institute says most candidates underestimate the same two things: the order in which the licences have to be earned, and reversing an articulated vehicle.
The licence is a ladder
A trailer licence is not a standalone licence. It is an endorsement added to an existing heavy vehicle licence, and it sits at the top of a sequence. A driver starts with an LMV licence, adds a transport or commercial endorsement, moves up to a heavy goods vehicle licence (HMV or HTV), and only then qualifies for the trailer endorsement that covers articulated and multi-axle vehicles. Each step generally requires holding the previous one for a qualifying period set by the RTO. Commercial driving in Kerala also needs a separate driver's badge.
"Half the people who call us have planned around a timeline they read online, and then find their licence dates don't qualify them yet," said Aravind, Executive Director of A2Z International Heavy Equipment Institute. "The first thing any trailer driving school in Kerala should do is look at what you hold and when you got it. Then we can tell you your real route, and it saves people months."
What the practical test asks for
The trailer practical tests five things: a pre-trip inspection including the coupling, coupling and uncoupling, controlled manoeuvring and turning with the articulation, reversing, and safe road handling under load. Reversing is where most candidates fail. In reverse, an articulated trailer swings the opposite way to the steering input.
"People expect the highway to be the hard part," Aravind said. "Then you ask a man to reverse a trailer into a bay, and for the first week he turns the wheel the wrong way every time. You can't learn that from a video. You need hours on a real trailer with an instructor next to you telling you what your hands are doing."
Two courses on one owned fleet
A2Z trains on trailers it owns, on a dedicated practice ground, instead of booking time on hired vehicles. Students can choose normal trailer training or container trailer training. Both follow a seven-stage curriculum: vehicle parts, controls and pre-trip checks; coupling and uncoupling; reversing, turning and manoeuvring; container handling and load securing; highway driving, gradients and braking; daily checks and basic maintenance; and licence and assessment preparation.
Graduates receive ISO and Operator Card certification along with guidance on heavy transport licensing. The main campus at Willingdon Island has a hostel for students who travel in.
A trailer driving school in Kerala with its own vehicles can give students more practice. On a hired trailer, time runs out when the booking ends. On an owned one, students keep practising until the reverse is under control.
An institute of firsts since 1978
A2Z opened in 1978. It is the only JCB-authorised operator training institute in Kerala and the state's only fixed tower crane training institute, and it was the first in Kerala to offer imported Zoomlion crane operator training. It owns every machine and vehicle it trains on and works with more than 527 placement partner companies.
Where trailer drivers work
The institute describes trailer driving as one of the better-paying commercial driving categories. Demand comes from Kerala's ports, from logistics corridors across India, and from heavy haulage in the Gulf. Graduates train for roles as trailer drivers, container and port trailer drivers, transport and logistics drivers, and heavy vehicle drivers in India and the Gulf.
Gulf haulage employers usually require a practical trade test. A2Z runs that test at its own Heavy Equipment International Trade Test Centre at Willingdon Island, following the skill verification requirements of GCC countries including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait. Candidates train and test on the same trailers.
A2Z provides training, assessment and placement assistance. It does not recruit for overseas jobs and refers candidates who want to work abroad to licensed recruiting agents.
Who can join
Entry depends on the licence ladder rather than on education. The minimum age follows RTO norms for heavy vehicles, which is higher than the age for a car licence. Candidates need basic physical fitness and government photo ID and proof of address, and an existing light vehicle licence helps.

बिहार में बेटियों के साथ बदसलूकी का सिलसिला जारी है। जमुई, मधेपुरा और बांका के बाद महिलाओं के खिलाफ अपराध थमने का नाम नहीं ले रहे हैं। अब समस्तीपुर में समाज और कानून के तथाकथिक ठेकेदारों ने एक और लड़की के साथ अश्लील हरकत की है। समस्तीपुर जिले से एक लड़की के साथ सरेआम अभद्रता, मारपीट और कपड़े खींचने की शर्मनाक घटना का वीडियो सोशल मीडिया पर तेजी से वायरल हो रहा है। लगातार सामने आ रही ऐसी घटनाओं से परिजनों और बेटियों के बीच डर का माहौल व्याप्त हो गया है।

  

तीन दिनों में जिले में ऐसा तीसरा वीडियो वायरल
समस्तीपुर जिले में नाबालिग युवतियों से मारपीट और बदसलूकी से जुड़े वीडियो सामने आने का सिलसिला थमने का नाम नहीं ले रहा है। पिछले तीन दिनों के भीतर जिले से ऐसा तीसरा वीडियो सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल हुआ है। नया मामला जिले के कल्याणपुर थाना क्षेत्र का बताया जा रहा है। वायरल वीडियो में कुछ लोग एक नाबालिग लड़की को घेरकर उसके साथ मारपीट करते नजर आ रहे हैं। वीडियो में लोगों को लड़की का दुपट्टा खींचते और उसका हाथ मरोड़ते हुए भी देखा जा रहा है।

  

पुलिस महकमे में भी हलचल
वायरल वीडियो सोशल मीडिया पर तेजी से प्रसारित होने के बाद पुलिस महकमे में भी हलचल है। मामले को लेकर समस्तीपुर के पुलिस अधीक्षक अरविंद प्रताप सिंह ने कहा कि वायरल वीडियो की जांच की जा रही है। फिलहाल यह स्पष्ट नहीं हुआ है कि वीडियो कल्याणपुर थाना क्षेत्र का ही है या किसी दूसरे स्थान का।

  

तेजस्वी यादव और चिराग पासवान हमलावर
समस्तीपुर में लगातार हो रही तीसरी वारदात को लेकर बिहार की राजनीति में उबाल आ गया है। नेता प्रतिपक्ष तेजस्वी यादव ने राज्य सरकार और पुलिस प्रशासन की कार्यशैली पर कड़ा हमला बोलते हुए कानून-व्यवस्था को पूरी तरह ध्वस्त बताया है। केंद्रीय मंत्री चिराग पासवान ने भी लगातार हो रही घटनाओं पर चिंता व्यक्त करते हुए सरकार और पुलिस से सख्त से सख्त कार्रवाई करने की मांग की है। भाकपा माले जिला स्थाई समिति के सदस्य सुरेंद्र प्रसाद सिंह ने आरोप लगाया कि पुलिस मामले को दबाने में लगी रहती है। उन्होंने चेतावनी दी कि यदि दोषियों पर स्पीडी ट्रायल चलाकर कार्रवाई नहीं हुई, तो वे सड़क से लेकर संसद तक उग्र आंदोलन करेंगे।

A2Z trains on trailers it owns, on a dedicated practice ground, instead of booking time on hired vehicles. Students can choose normal trailer training or container trailer training. Both follow a seven-stage curriculum: vehicle parts, controls and pre-trip checks; coupling and uncoupling; reversing, turning and manoeuvring; container handling and load securing; highway driving, gradients and braking; daily checks and basic maintenance; and licence and assessment preparation.
Graduates receive ISO and Operator Card certification along with guidance on heavy transport licensing. The main campus at Willingdon Island has a hostel for students who travel in.
A trailer driving school in Kerala with its own vehicles can give students more practice. On a hired trailer, time runs out when the booking ends. On an owned one, students keep practising until the reverse is under control.

Where trailer drivers work
The institute describes trailer driving as one of the better-paying commercial driving categories. Demand comes from Kerala's ports, from logistics corridors across India, and from heavy haulage in the Gulf. Graduates train for roles as trailer drivers, container and port trailer drivers, transport and logistics drivers, and heavy vehicle drivers in India and the Gulf.
Gulf haulage employers usually require a practical trade test. A2Z runs that test at its own Heavy Equipment International Trade Test Centre at Willingdon Island, following the skill verification requirements of GCC countries including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait. Candidates train and test on the same trailers.
A2Z provides training, assessment and placement assistance. It does not recruit for overseas jobs and refers candidates who want to work abroad to licensed recruiting agents.
Who can join
Entry depends on the licence ladder rather than on education. The minimum age follows RTO norms for heavy vehicles, which is higher than the age for a car licence. Candidates need basic physical fitness and government photo ID and proof of address, and an existing light vehicle licence helps.

కరీంనగర్/కొత్తపల్లి: గణేశ్ విగ్రహాల నిమజ్జనం కోసం ఎస్సారెస్పీ మెయిన్ కెనాల్‌కు సోమవారం నీటిని విడుదల చేశారు. నవరాత్రి ఉత్సవాలు ముగియనున్న నేపథ్యంలో కరీంనగర్ జిల్లాలోని కాకతీయ కాల్వలు, డిస్ట్రిబ్యూటరీ కాల్వల్లో నిమజ్జనానికి ఇబ్బందులు లేకుండా నీటిని విడుదల చేయాలని చొప్పదండి ఎమ్మెల్యే మేడిపల్లి సత్యం ప్రాజెక్టు చీఫ్ ఇంజినీర్‌ను కోరారు.

కొన్నేళ్లుగా గణేశ్ విగ్రహాలను కాకతీయ కాల్వలతో పాటు పలు డిస్ట్రిబ్యూటరీ కాల్వల్లో నిమజ్జనం చేస్తున్నారని, ప్రస్తుతం కాల్వల్లో నీరు లేక భక్తులు ఇబ్బందులు ఎదుర్కొంటున్నారని ఎమ్మెల్యే అధికారుల దృష్టికి తీసుకెళ్లారు. దీంతో ఎమ్మెల్యే సూచన మేరకు నీటిని విడుదల చేస్తామని ప్రాజెక్టు సీఈ తెలిపారు.

సోమవారం ఉదయం 11 గంటలకు తొలుత 500 క్యూసెక్కుల నీటిని విడుదల చేశారు. అనంతరం సాయంత్రం మరో 3 వేల క్యూసెక్కుల నీటిని వదిలారు. కరీంనగర్ నగరంలో పెద్ద సంఖ్యలో గణేశ్ విగ్రహాలను నిమజ్జనం చేసే చింతకుంట కెనాల్‌కు మంగళవారం రాత్రి వరకు నీరు చేరే అవకాశం ఉందని అధికారులు తెలిపారు.

*চন্দৌসি, সম্ভল:* মুম্বইয়ের পর এবার উত্তরপ্রদেশের সম্ভল জেলার চন্দৌসিতে আয়োজিত মেলা গণেশ চতুর্থীতে সম্প্রীতির অনন্য নজির। মুসলিম সমাজের পক্ষ থেকে বাবা গণেশকে ২ কুইন্টাল লাড্ডুর ভোগ নিবেদন করা হলো।
  

  
আজ এই মেলার রথযাত্রার আয়োজন করা হবে, যার উদ্বোধন করলেন কেন্দ্রীয় মন্ত্রী বি.এল. বর্মা। গত ১২ সেপ্টেম্বর সর্বধর্মের প্রতিনিধিদের উপস্থিতিতে ফিতে কেটে মেলা গণেশ চতুর্থীর উদ্বোধন করা হয়েছিল। আজকের রথযাত্রায় স্বয়ংক্রিয় ঝাঁকি অন্তর্ভুক্ত থাকবে, যা শহর পরিক্রমা করবে।
  

  
এই উপলক্ষ্যে মুসলিম সমাজের মানুষজন গণেশজিকে ভোগ হিসেবে ২ কুইন্টাল লাড্ডু নিবেদন করেন। ২০০১ সাল থেকে প্রতি বছর মুসলিম সমাজের পক্ষ থেকে গণেশজিকে এই ভোগ অর্পণ করা হয়।

কলকাতা: স্বামী একতরফা আদালত থেকে বিচ্ছেদের(ডিভোর্স )কাগজ নিয়ে এলেই খোরপোশের দায়িত্ব শেষ হয়ে যায় না। যদি প্রাক্তন স্ত্রী দ্বিতীয় বিয়ে না করেন এবং নিজে রোজগার করে চলতে না পারেন, তাহলে স্বামীকেই তাঁকে খোরপোশ দিতে হবে। এমনই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ রায় দিল কলকাতা হাইকোর্ট।

একই সঙ্গে আদালত আরও জানিয়েছে, যে অবিবাহিত মেয়ে মামলা করার আগেই ১৮ বছর পেরিয়ে গেছে এবং সে শারীরিক বা মানসিক দিক থেকে অসুস্থ নয়, সে বাবার কাছে খোরপোশ চাইতে পারবে না।

কী হয়েছিল ঘটনাটা?

হাওড়ার উলুবেড়িয়া আদালতে এক মহিলা তাঁর স্বামীর বিরুদ্ধে খোরপোশের মামলা করেছিলেন। সেটা ২০১৯ সালের মামলা। পরে সেই খোরপোশের টাকা না দেওয়ায় টাকা আদায়ের জন্য আরেকটি মামলা হয় ২০২১ সালে।

এর মাঝে স্বামী একতরফা ভাবে বিচ্ছেদের(ডিভোর্স )ডিক্রি পেয়ে যান। তখন তিনি আদালতে গিয়ে বলেন, বিচ্ছেদ হয়ে গেছে তাই খোরপোশের মামলা আর চলতে পারে না। উলুবেড়িয়া আদালত তাঁর কথা মানেনি। তাঁকে খোরপোশ দিতে বলা হয় এবং টাকা না দেওয়ায় তাঁর বিরুদ্ধে গ্রেফতারি পরোয়ানা জারি হয়।

সেই আদেশকে চ্যালেঞ্জ করে স্বামী সমর পাল কলকাতা হাইকোর্টে মামলা দায়ের করেন,তাঁর স্ত্রী জ্যোৎস্না পালের বিরুদ্ধে এই মামলা।

হাইকোর্ট কী বলল?

বিচারপতি উদয় কুমার সমর পালের আবেদনটি আংশিক মঞ্জুর করেন। তিনি বলেন,

১. আইনে পরিষ্কার বলা আছে, ডিভোর্সী স্ত্রীও স্ত্রী হিসেবেই গণ্য হবেন, যদি তিনি দ্বিতীয় বিয়ে না করেন। তাই একতরফা বিচ্ছেদ (ডিভোর্স)হয়ে গেলেও খোরপোশের দায় শেষ হয় না।

২. এই খোরপোশের আইনের উদ্দেশ্য হলো, কোনো অসহায় মহিলা যাতে ভবঘুরে হয়ে না যান, সেটা দেখা। এটা সামাজিক ন্যায়বিচারের জন্য করা হয়েছে।

৩. তাই স্ত্রীর খোরপোশ বহাল থাকবে। স্বামীকে তা দিতেই হবে।

৪. কিন্তু মেয়ের ক্ষেত্রে আদালত বলে, মেয়ে মামলা করার আগেই প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক হয়ে গেছে। সে সুস্থ। তাই আইন অনুযায়ী সে আর বাবার কাছে খোরপোশ পাবে না।

এই রায়ে আদালত স্ত্রীর খোরপোশ বহাল রাখলেও, প্রাপ্তবয়স্ক মেয়ের খোরপোশের দাবি খারিজ করে দিয়েছে।
