आजमगढ़ ।दिनांक 17 अप्रैल को एंटी करप्शन टीम आजमगढ़ इकाई द्वारा भ्रष्टाचार के विरुद्ध चलाए जा रहे अभियान के तहत एक प्रभावी कार्रवाई करते हुए थाना सरायमीर में तैनात उपनिरीक्षक अभिषेक सिंह को ₹20,000 रिश्वत लेते हुए रंगे हाथ गिरफ्तार किया गया । शिकायतकर्ता अवनीश कुमार राय निवासी ग्राम गंगापुर थाना बिलरियागंज जनपद आजमगढ़ द्वारा शिकायत की गई थी कि अभियुक्त उपनिरीक्षक द्वारा मुकदमे से नाम निकालने के एवज में ₹20,000/- की मांग की जा रही है। शिकायत का सत्यापन करने के उपरांत एंटी करप्शन टीम द्वारा योजनाबद्ध तरीके से ट्रैप कार्रवाई की गई। कार्रवाई के दौरान अभियुक्त को थाना सरायमीर के दक्षिणी गेट के सामने सड़क किनारे शिकायतकर्ता से रिश्वत की धनराशि लेते समय स्वतंत्र गवाहों की उपस्थिति में मौके पर ही पकड़ लिया गया। तलाशी के दौरान रिश्वत की पूरी धनराशि बरामद हुई, जिससे अभियुक्त का अपराध प्रथम दृष्टया सिद्ध हुआ। गिरफ्तारी एवं बरामदगी के आधार पर अभियुक्त के विरुद्ध सुसंगत धाराओं में अभियोग पंजीकृत कर अग्रिम विधिक कार्यवाही की जा रही है गिरफ्तार करने वाली टीम में निरीक्षक संतोष कुमार दीक्षित (ट्रैप टीम प्रभारी), एंटी करप्शन , निरीक्षक आनंद कुमार वर्मा, निरीक्षक कमलेश कुमार पासवान, उ0नि0 मुर्ताजिर हुसैन खान सहित एंटी करप्शन टीम के अन्य सदस्य शामिल रहे।
