चीन के तियानजिन में सोमवार को दस सदस्यीय शंघाई सहयोग संगठन (एससीओ) के राष्ट्राध्यक्षों का शिखर सम्मेलन शुरू हो चुका है। पीएम मोदी ने सोमवार को एससीओ की बैठक को संबोधित किया। इस सम्मेलन में पीएम मोदी ने आतंकवाद का जिक्र किया। अपने संबोधन में पीएम मोदी ने आतंकवाद के मुद्दे पर दुनिया को भारत के रुख से अवगत कराया। यही नहीं, इस समेमलन में भारत को उस वक्त बड़ी कूटनीतिक जीत मिली, जब एससीओ समिट के संयुक्त घोषणापत्र में पहलगाम आतंकी हमले की एक सुर में निंदा की गई।

एससीओ समिट की सबसे अहम बात ये रही कि यहां पर ज्वाइंट डिक्लेरेशन साइन हुआ है और इसमें पहलगाम हमले का भी जिक्र है। सभी देशों ने मिलकर माना है कि पहलगाम में हुआ हमला गलत था और ऐसा आतंकवादी हमले स्वीकार्य नहीं है। शंघाई सहयोग संगठन के सदस्य देशों ने 22 अप्रैल, 2025 को पहलगाम में हुए आतंकी हमले की कड़ी निंदा की है। उन्होंने हमले में मारे गए लोगों और घायलों के परिवारों के प्रति गहरी संवेदना व्यक्त की और जोर देकर कहा कि हमले के दोषियों, योजनाकारों और प्रायोजकों को न्याय के कटघरे में लाया जाना चाहिए।

विदेश सचिव विक्रम मिस्री ने पीएम मोदी की जापान यात्रा के बारे में जानकारी देते हुए बताया, प्रधानमंत्री मोदी 28 अगस्त की शाम को जापान की आधिकारिक यात्रा पर जा रहे हैं। वह जापान के प्रधान मंत्री महामहिम शिगेरू इशिबा के साथ 15वीं भारत-जापान वार्षिक शिखर बैठक आयोजित करने के लिए 29 और 30 अगस्त को जापान में होंगे। यह कई कारणों से एक महत्वपूर्ण यात्रा है। यह प्रधान मंत्री मोदी की प्रधान मंत्री इशिबा के साथ पहली वार्षिक शिखर बैठक है। यह लगभग 7 वर्षों में जापान की उनकी पहली स्टैंडअलोन यात्रा भी है। पीएम मोदी ने आखिरी बार 2018 में वार्षिक शिखर सम्मेलन के लिए जापान का दौरा किया था। उसके बाद भी उन्होंने जापान का दौरा किया है, लेकिन यह एक यात्रा होगी जो भारत और जापान के बीच द्विपक्षीय एजेंडे के लिए पूरी तरह से समर्पित होगी। 2014 में पदभार संभालने के बाद से यह प्रधान मंत्री की जापान की आठवीं यात्रा है और हमारे विदेशी संबंधों में इस विशेष संबंध को बहुत उच्च प्राथमिकता देती है।
