Khabar kolkata Sports Desk : Riding on a clinical all-round performance, Bengal outclassed Himachal Pradesh by 2 wickets in the summit clash on Thursday to emerge champions of Under-19 Men's Inter State Multi-Day

Tournament (Siechem Trophy).

Bengal's Ashutosh Kumar (4-20) was awarded the man of the match for his superb bowling effort. Ashutosh was also named the man of the series.

Opting to bat in Pondicherry, Himachal Pradesh lost wickets at regular intervals and were bundled out for 197 in 57.5 overs. Vaastav Garg top-scored with 55 runs.

Besides Ashutosh, Rohit Das (2-24), Arjun (2-47), Agastya Shukla (1-36) and Sayan Paul (1-1) were impressive with the ball.

In reply, Bengal went over the line, scoring 199/8 in 40.4 overs.

With three wins from five games, Howrah currently have seven points while Malda go down one place to fourth spot with 5 points from five games.

Sports Desk : A commanding run chase led by Rishabh Chaudhary and Toufik Uddin Mondal powered Murshidabad Kings to a confident five-wicket win over Shrachi Rarh Tigers in Season 2 of the Bengal Pro T20 League at the iconic Eden Gardens on Sunday.

Chasing 151 for victory, Murshidabad Kings made light work of the target, reaching 151/5 in just 18.4 overs. Veteran Rishabh Chaudhary top-scored with a brisk 50 off 35 balls, setting the tone for the innings. He was ably supported by Toufik Uddin Mondal, whose calm and composed unbeaten 42 off 37 balls anchored the chase.

Earlier, Shrachi Rarh Tigers posted a competitive 150/6 after being put in to bat. Opener Kazi Junaid Saifi was the standout performer with a fluent 78 off 54 deliveries. However, regular breakthroughs by the Kings' bowling unit—led by Saksham Chaudhary, Vikas Singh, and Sukhmeet Singh, who claimed two wickets apiece—kept the Tigers in check.

Despite efforts from the Tigers’ bowling attack, with wickets shared among Ravi Kumar, Pritam Chakrabarty, Shahbaz Ahmed, and Ashutosh Kumar, the Kings held their nerve in a well-paced chase.

Khabar kolkata sports Desk: Bhawanipore Club and East Bengal Club were announced joint winners after the First Division Championship final match ended in a draw on the fifth and final day at the Eden Gardens on Thursday.

Vivek Singh was awarded the player of the match.

In the summit clash, batting first, Bhawanipore Club scored a mammoth 643/6 decl in 170 overs in their first innings.

Shakir Habib Gandhi (220), Vivek (176 not out), Abhishek Raman (93) were the star performers with the bat.

In reply, East Bengal, in their first innings, were 243/8 in 106.4 overs, when heavy rain stopped play.

With the weather showing no signs of improvement and as both the team’s first innings were not completed, the match was drawn and Bhawanipore & East Bengal were announced joint winners.

 Khabar kolkata sports Desk : Riding on a brilliant batting performance, Mohun Bagan A.C outclassed Kalighat Club by 4 wickets in a thrilling final at the Eden Gardens on Friday to emerge champions of JC Mukherjee T20 Tournament. 

Batting first, Kalighat posted a challenging 179/7 in 20 overs. Sayan Sekhar Mondal (62 off 41), Subham Chatterjee (50 off 26), Arun Chaprana (21 not out off 11) were the star performers with the bat.

Pradeep Kumar was the pick of the Mohun Bagan bowlers bagging 3 for 30.

Chasing the target, Mohun Bagan went over the line comfortably scoring 182/6 in 19 overs. 

Sudip Kumar Gharami smashed a brilliant 62 off 28 while Suvankar Bal (31 not out off 16) and Gitansh Khera (39 off 23) were also impressive with the bat for Mohun Bagan.

 Khabar kolkata sports Desk : A total of 802 cricketers were drafted in the mega men’s draft of the Bengal Pro T20 League Season 2 at a glitzy ceremony at a city hotel on Monday.

The players were picked by the eight franchisees namely Sobisco Smashers Malda, Adamas Howrah Warriors, ServoTech Siliguri Strikers, Harbour Diamonds, Shrachi Rarh Tigers, Lux-Shyam Kolkata Royal Tigers, Murshidabad Kings and Rashmi Medinipur Wizards.  

CAB Office bearers led by President Snehasish Ganguly, Vice President Amalendu Biswas, Secretary Naresh Ojha, Treasurer Prabir Chakrabarty, Joint Secretary Debabrata Das along with India cricket legend Sourav Ganguly, women’s cricket icon Jhulan Goswami were present for the draft. Chairpersons of various CAB committees, former international players, former office bearers and Apex Council Members were also present.

Tiranga Yatra Organized in Budhanpur










grand Tiranga Yatra (tricolor march) was organized in the Budhanpur Tehsil area, starting from Radha Krishna Temple in Koilsa. The event was graced by Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, the State President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), who led the yatra.

The Tiranga Yatra commenced from the Radha Krishna Temple and concluded at the Shaheed Smarak (Martyrs’ Memorial) in Budhanpur, where floral tributes were paid to the martyrs. Addressing the gathering, Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary said that the successful execution of Operation Sindoor, which struck Pakistan on its own soil, is a matter of immense pride for the nation. He added that the Tiranga Yatra was organized to celebrate this victory and to boost the morale of the armed forces.

Vinod Rajbhar, District President of Lalganj, who presided over the event, encouraged all party workers and stated that whenever the pride and honor of our nation is challenged, our three armed forces give a befitting reply to the enemy.

Former District President Jayanath Singh expressed his pride in being born in a country like India and praised the bravery of Indian soldiers who risk their lives for the safety of the nation.

Shakir Habib Gandhi (220), Vivek (176 not out), Abhishek Raman (93) were the star performers with the bat.

In reply, East Bengal, in their first innings, were 243/8 in 106.4 overs, when heavy rain stopped play.

With the weather showing no signs of improvement and as both the team’s first innings were not completed, the match was drawn and Bhawanipore & East Bengal were announced joint winners.

For East Bengal, Satyaki Dutta (53), Kanishk Seth (48 not out) were the pick of the batters.

For Bhawanipore, Ravi Kumar bagged 3 for 60 while Anubhav Tyagi claimed 2 for 38.

*Mohun Bagan crowned champions of JC Mukherjee T20 meet*

 Khabar kolkata sports Desk : Riding on a brilliant batting performance, Mohun Bagan A.C outclassed Kalighat Club by 4 wickets in a thrilling final at the Eden Gardens on Friday to emerge champions of JC Mukherjee T20 Tournament. 

Batting first, Kalighat posted a challenging 179/7 in 20 overs. Sayan Sekhar Mondal (62 off 41), Subham Chatterjee (50 off 26), Arun Chaprana (21 not out off 11) were the star performers with the bat.

Pradeep Kumar was the pick of the Mohun Bagan bowlers bagging 3 for 30.

Chasing the target, Mohun Bagan went over the line comfortably scoring 182/6 in 19 overs. 

Sudip Kumar Gharami smashed a brilliant 62 off 28 while Suvankar Bal (31 not out off 16) and Gitansh Khera (39 off 23) were also impressive with the bat for Mohun Bagan. 

For Kalighat, Arun Chaprana and Kaushik Maity bagged 2 wickets each.

*Bengal Pro T20 League men’s draft featured 802 cricketers*

 Khabar kolkata sports Desk : A total of 802 cricketers were drafted in the mega men’s draft of the Bengal Pro T20 League Season 2 at a glitzy ceremony at a city hotel on Monday.

The players were picked by the eight franchisees namely Sobisco Smashers Malda, Adamas Howrah Warriors, ServoTech Siliguri Strikers, Harbour Diamonds, Shrachi Rarh Tigers, Lux-Shyam Kolkata Royal Tigers, Murshidabad Kings and Rashmi Medinipur Wizards.  

CAB Office bearers led by President Snehasish Ganguly, Vice President Amalendu Biswas, Secretary Naresh Ojha, Treasurer Prabir Chakrabarty, Joint Secretary Debabrata Das along with India cricket legend Sourav Ganguly, women’s cricket icon Jhulan Goswami were present for the draft. Chairpersons of various CAB committees, former international players, former office bearers and Apex Council Members were also present.

Also present were Bengal Pro T20 League committee members - Deep Chatterjee, Subhradeep Ganguly, Lopamudra Banerjee, Keya Ray, Surajit Lahiri, Ambarish Mitra, Soumendu Chatterjee, Joydeep Mukherjee, along with other CAB members.  

Speaking about the draft, CAB President Mr Ganguly said: “I welcome to all the current office bearers, former office bearers, international players and all the franchises for the men’s draft of the second season of the Bengal Pro T20 League.

Tiranga Yatra Organized in Budhanpur










grand Tiranga Yatra (tricolor march) was organized in the Budhanpur Tehsil area, starting from Radha Krishna Temple in Koilsa. The event was graced by Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, the State President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), who led the yatra.

The Tiranga Yatra commenced from the Radha Krishna Temple and concluded at the Shaheed Smarak (Martyrs’ Memorial) in Budhanpur, where floral tributes were paid to the martyrs. Addressing the gathering, Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary said that the successful execution of Operation Sindoor, which struck Pakistan on its own soil, is a matter of immense pride for the nation. He added that the Tiranga Yatra was organized to celebrate this victory and to boost the morale of the armed forces.

Vinod Rajbhar, District President of Lalganj, who presided over the event, encouraged all party workers and stated that whenever the pride and honor of our nation is challenged, our three armed forces give a befitting reply to the enemy.

Former District President Jayanath Singh expressed his pride in being born in a country like India and praised the bravery of Indian soldiers who risk their lives for the safety of the nation.

Budhanpur Nagar Panchayat Chairman's representative, Goodluck Singh, extended his gratitude to all the dignitaries who participated in the event.
