 Khabar kolkata sports Desk: Emami East Bengal FC defeated defending champions Sribhumi FC 4-2 on penalties in the final of the 2025 Calcutta Women's Football League (Kanyashree Cup) at the Kishore Bharati Krirangan yesterday, after a 1-1 draw in regulation time. 

Under Coach Anthony Andrews' stewardship, the Red & Gold women have completed a domestic double this season, winning the club's maiden Indian Women's League title in April and third CWFL title yesterday. 

It was the third consecutive CWFL final between both sides. While EEB Women defeated Sribhumi 1-0 in the 2022-2023 CWFL final, Sribhumi defeated EEB Women 2-1 in last year's CWFL final at Kishore Bharati Krirangan. 

After an intense first half ended goalless, Sulanjana Raul earned EEB Women the lead in the 49th minute. 

The young forward latched on to a free-kick from Karthika Angamuthu from the left and scored with a low-driven volley from the middle of the box. 

However, EEB's lead didn't last long as Rimpa Halder pulled one back for Sribhumi to level the score. 

Both teams pushed hard to regain the lead, but were unable to convert the chances that came their way as the game headed to a penalty shootout. 

EEB goalkeeper Mamani Das made two crucial saves in the tie-breaker as EEB Women held their nerves and converted four of their five shots, eventually winning the game 4-2 on penalties. Karthika Angamuthu, Sarita Yummam, Deblina Bhattacharya and Sulanjana Raul converted the penalty kicks for EEB Women.

बेंगलुरु के केम्पेगौड़ा इंटरनेशनल एयरपोर्ट पर रान्या से 12.56 करोड़ रुपए मूल्य की सोने की छड़ें जब्त की गई थीं, जिसके बाद उनके आवास पर तलाशी ली गई और अधिकारियों ने बताया कि 2.06 करोड़ रुपए के सोने के आभूषण और 2.67 करोड़ रुपए की भारतीय मुद्रा भी बरामद की गई। सोना तस्करी मामले में गिरफ्तार रान्या राव को सोमवार को आर्थिक अपराधों के लिए विशेष अदालत ने 14 दिनों की न्यायिक हिरासत में भेज दिया। एक्टर पूछताछ के लिए तीन दिनों तक राजस्व खुफिया निदेशालय की हिरासत में थी।

Cdr Pasricha: Oh, I get a range of them! "Will I adjust to the new world order?", "How is corporate life?", "Is there stability at work?", "What do I need to plan before leaving service?"—the list goes on. The transition can feel like stepping into uncharted territory, but trust me, it's nothing a Fauji can't handle!

Interviewer: That’s reassuring! But let's be honest—military life is all about discipline, structure, and a well-defined purpose. The corporate world, on the other hand, is more profit-driven. How does this impact retired personnel?
Cdr Pasricha: Ah, the great shift in purpose! In the military, every mission serves a greater good—national security, saving lives, protecting borders. In the corporate world, success is measured by profits, market shares, and business growth. Many veterans initially struggle to find meaning in their work. The trick is to align yourself with roles that resonate with your core values—leadership development, consulting, or even CSR initiatives. Find your mission within the mission!

Interviewer: Well said! Now, the work culture is another massive change. In the military, hierarchy is everything—orders are followed, no questions asked. But in corporate life, collaboration and debate are encouraged. How do retired officers adapt?
Cdr Pasricha: You nailed it! In the forces, when a command is given, it’s executed—period. In the corporate world, questioning, brainstorming, and debating ideas are the norm. Initially, this can feel chaotic for veterans. My advice? Observe first. Soak in the dynamics. Once you get the hang of it, you’ll see that leadership here is more about influence than authority.
And here’s a pro tip: Instead of giving orders, ask, "What do you think?"—it works wonders!

Interviewer: That’s a gold nugget right there! Another big shift must be decision-making. Military officers are trained to take quick, high-pressure decisions. But the corporate world thrives on stakeholder consensus. Is that a tough adjustment?
Cdr Pasricha: Absolutely! In the military, a delay in decision-making can be life-threatening. In business, it’s all about buy-in from different stakeholders, endless meetings, and navigating office politics. Initially, the pace can be frustrating. But once you learn the game, you’ll see that your ability to make firm, informed decisions is a superpower. Just learn to balance decisiveness with diplomacy.

Interviewer: Speaking of adjustments, work-life balance is another big one. Defence personnel live in a close-knit community. But in corporate life, people clock out and go their own way. How does this impact retired officers?
Cdr Pasricha: Oh, this is a real shocker! In the armed forces, your colleagues are your family. You live together, train together, celebrate together. Then suddenly, you’re in a world where relationships are transactional, and weekend plans are personal. The key is to build new networks—join corporate clubs, alumni groups, or even veteran communities. Find your tribe, and you won’t feel alone!

Interviewer: That makes sense. Now, let’s talk money. The military offers a structured salary, benefits, housing, and medical perks. In corporate life, it’s all about negotiations. How can veterans ensure they get their due?
Cdr Pasricha: Negotiating salaries? That’s foreign territory for most of us! In the forces, our pay scales are fixed. But in corporate life, everything is negotiable. My advice? Do your homework. Know your market value. Speak to other veterans who have transitioned. And don’t undersell yourself—your leadership, discipline, and crisis-management skills are priceless.

Interviewer: What about career progression? In the military, promotions are structured. But in business, growth depends on networking and performance. How do retired personnel adapt to this?
Cdr Pasricha: That’s a mindset shift! In the armed forces, you rise through the ranks over time. In corporate, you must actively chase opportunities—network, take on new challenges, switch functions if needed. It’s more of a jungle gym than a ladder. My tip? Be open to lateral moves; they often lead to bigger roles down the line!

Interviewer: This has been enlightening! Before we wrap up, can you share some tips for faujis planning their corporate transition?
Cdr Pasricha: Of course! Here are my top five:
Upskill yourself – An executive MBA, project management certification, or industry-specific training will make you job-ready.
Leverage veteran networks – Connect with those who have successfully transitioned; they’ll guide you through.

Play to your strengths – Leadership, crisis management, discipline—these are gold in the corporate world.

राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू और उनके इंडोनेशियाई समकक्ष प्रबोवो सुबियांटो, गणतंत्र दिवस के मुख्य अतिथि, को रविवार को पारंपरिक घोड़े से खींची जाने वाली ‘बग्गी’ में सवार होकर दिल्ली के कर्तव्य पथ पर लाया गया। 1984 में बंद की गई यह बग्गी पिछले साल वापस लौटी। इसने राष्ट्रपति मुर्मू और उनके फ्रांसीसी समकक्ष इमैनुएल मैक्रों, जो पिछले साल मुख्य अतिथि थे, को कर्तव्य पथ पर पहुंचाया।



परंपरा

सोने की परत चढ़ी, घोड़े से खींची जाने वाली यह बग्गी एक काले रंग की गाड़ी है, जिस पर सोने से राष्ट्रीय प्रतीक (चार शेर) उकेरे गए हैं। भारतीय और ऑस्ट्रियाई घोड़ों की मिश्रित नस्ल द्वारा खींची जाने वाली इस गाड़ी में सोने की परत चढ़ी रिम भी है। राष्ट्रपति, जो भारत के राष्ट्राध्यक्ष हैं, और मुख्य अतिथि को ले जाने वाली बग्गी को ‘राष्ट्रपति के अंगरक्षक’ या राष्ट्रपति के अंगरक्षक, भारतीय सेना की सबसे वरिष्ठ रेजिमेंट द्वारा अनुरक्षित किया जाता है।



बग्गी को क्यों बंद कर दिया गया था ?

ज्ञानी जैल सिंह ने 1984 में राष्ट्रपति बग्गी का इस्तेमाल किया था। उस वर्ष अक्टूबर में, तत्कालीन प्रधानमंत्री इंदिरा गांधी की उनके अंगरक्षकों द्वारा हत्या कर दी गई थी। इसके कारण सुरक्षा कारणों से यह परंपरा बंद कर दी गई। इसके बाद राष्ट्रपति लिमोसिन में आने लगे, जब तक कि बग्गी को लगभग 40 साल बाद, जनवरी 2024 में वापस नहीं लाया गया।



2014 में, तत्कालीन राष्ट्रपति प्रणब मुखर्जी ने बग्गी का इस्तेमाल किया, लेकिन बीटिंग रिट्रीट समारोह के लिए, जो 29 जनवरी को आयोजित किया जाता है, और गणतंत्र दिवस समारोह का समापन होता है। प्रणब मुखर्जी के उत्तराधिकारी रामनाथ कोविंद ने 2017 में शपथ लेने के बाद राष्ट्रपति की गाड़ी से गार्ड ऑफ ऑनर का निरीक्षण किया।

Comic Street – An exciting new initiative by TVAGA and ICA at Indiajoy
The Comic Street Awards 2024 debuted at the prestigious India Joy Digital Entertainment Festival at the Hyderabad International Convention Center (HICC). A collaboration between the Telangana VFX, Animation, and Gaming Association (TVAGA) and the Indian Comics Association (ICA), the awards celebrated exceptional talent in the Indian comics industry, marking a new chapter in the legacy of India Joy. The awards were presented by former beauty queen and Bollywood actress Ruhi Singh, whose presence added a touch of glamour and star power to the event. In recognition of her contributions to the creative industry, Himanshu Singhal, PR & Industry Head of ICA, presented a memento to Ruhi Singh.
The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to the legendary cartoonist Abid Surti for his immense contributions to the Indian comics landscape. A true pioneer, Abid Surti is the creative genius behind Bahadur, India’s first-ever superhero, and has significantly shaped the Indian comics industry.
The ICA proudly hosted a panel discussion at Comic Street featuring prominent figures such as Sanjay Gupta (Raj Comics by Sanjay Gupta), Preeti Vyas (Amar Chitra Katha), Ajay Krishna (Forbidden Verse), and Ajitesh Sharma (Cinemics). The panel delved into various aspects of storytelling, industry evolution, and comic industry opportunities, offering invaluable insights and fostering engaging discussions among industry pioneers and enthusiasts.
Ajitesh Sharma, president of ICA, interacted with Prashant Varma, the visionary director of the highly acclaimed movie Hanu-Man, on Comics IP & Cinema. Ajay Krishna, Executive Member of ICA, presented a special memento to Prashant Varma, acknowledging his remarkable contributions to storytelling, creativity, and the growing universe of Indian superheroes.
Adding to the event's excitement, two new comic titles were launched: Chandrakanta, an Indian epic adapted into Comics by Cinemics, and Soul Contract, an Indian manga by Cosmics. These latest releases generated a buzz and showcased the vibrant creativity and innovation within the Indian comics industry.
 
An ICA Pavilion exhibiting Indian Comics was set up at Comics Street, and Ravi Tanwer, Anadi Abhilash, Mohamad Shabaz, Himanshu Singhal, Vasu Gupta, Saahil Sharma, Varun Malhotra, and Neelesh Makwane from ICA led the initiative. Moreover, ICA promoted the upcoming Comics Creator Championship, set to take place during Waves 2025, further engaging the community and encouraging creators to showcase their talent in this Create in India Challenge.
The event underscores India Joy’s commitment to fostering a thriving ecosystem for the AVGC sector.  Khabar kolkata sports Desk: Emami East Bengal FC defeated defending champions Sribhumi FC 4-2 on penalties in the final of the 2025 Calcutta Women's Football League (Kanyashree Cup) at the Kishore Bharati Krirangan yesterday, after a 1-1 draw in regulation time. 

Under Coach Anthony Andrews' stewardship, the Red & Gold women have completed a domestic double this season, winning the club's maiden Indian Women's League title in April and third CWFL title yesterday. 

It was the third consecutive CWFL final between both sides. While EEB Women defeated Sribhumi 1-0 in the 2022-2023 CWFL final, Sribhumi defeated EEB Women 2-1 in last year's CWFL final at Kishore Bharati Krirangan. 

After an intense first half ended goalless, Sulanjana Raul earned EEB Women the lead in the 49th minute. 

The young forward latched on to a free-kick from Karthika Angamuthu from the left and scored with a low-driven volley from the middle of the box. 

However, EEB's lead didn't last long as Rimpa Halder pulled one back for Sribhumi to level the score. 

Both teams pushed hard to regain the lead, but were unable to convert the chances that came their way as the game headed to a penalty shootout. 

EEB goalkeeper Mamani Das made two crucial saves in the tie-breaker as EEB Women held their nerves and converted four of their five shots, eventually winning the game 4-2 on penalties. Karthika Angamuthu, Sarita Yummam, Deblina Bhattacharya and Sulanjana Raul converted the penalty kicks for EEB Women.

सरकारी आदेश में कहा गया है कि पिछले सप्ताह मीडिया और समाचार पत्रों में प्रकाशित रिपोर्टों के अनुसार, अभिनेत्री रान्या राव को राजस्व खुफिया निदेशालय के अधिकारियों ने दुबई से बेंगलुरु तक सोने की अवैध रूप से तस्करी करने के प्रयास के दौरान गिरफ्तार किया था। जांच के दौरान, रिपोर्टों में यह सामने आया है कि अभियुक्त, रान्या राव ने इस अवैध कार्य को अंजाम देने के लिए हवाई अड्डे पर वीआईपी प्रोटोकॉल सुविधाओं का दुरुपयोग किया। इसके अलावा, उन्होंने कर्नाटक राज्य पुलिस हाउसिंग एंड इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर डेवलपमेंट कॉरपोरेशन के पुलिस महानिदेशक (DGP) और उनके पिता, डॉ. के. रामचंद्र राव, आईपीएस का नाम उपयोग करके उच्च स्तरीय प्रोटोकॉल सेवाओं तक पहुंच प्राप्त की। इस प्रकार, उन्होंने सुरक्षा जांच से बचकर तस्करी को अंजाम दिया। इन गंभीर आरोपों को ध्यान में रखते हुए, कर्नाटक सरकार जांच आवश्यक समझती है।

रामचंद्र राव वर्तमान में कर्नाटक राज्य पुलिस आवास एवं अवसंरचना विकास निगम के प्रबंध निदेशक के रूप में कार्यरत हैं। आदेश में कहा गया है कि फिल्म एक्टर रान्या राव को राजस्व खुफिया निदेशालय ने उस समय गिरफ्तार किया था, जब वह दुबई से बेंगलुरु में अवैध रूप से सोने की छड़ें ले जा रही थी। मामले की जांच के दौरान मीडिया में यह खबर आई थी कि गिरफ्तार रान्या ने एयरपोर्ट पर उच्च पदस्थ अधिकारियों को दी जाने वाली शिष्टाचार सुविधाओं का दुरुपयोग किया है।

बेंगलुरु के केम्पेगौड़ा इंटरनेशनल एयरपोर्ट पर रान्या से 12.56 करोड़ रुपए मूल्य की सोने की छड़ें जब्त की गई थीं, जिसके बाद उनके आवास पर तलाशी ली गई और अधिकारियों ने बताया कि 2.06 करोड़ रुपए के सोने के आभूषण और 2.67 करोड़ रुपए की भारतीय मुद्रा भी बरामद की गई। सोना तस्करी मामले में गिरफ्तार रान्या राव को सोमवार को आर्थिक अपराधों के लिए विशेष अदालत ने 14 दिनों की न्यायिक हिरासत में भेज दिया। एक्टर पूछताछ के लिए तीन दिनों तक राजस्व खुफिया निदेशालय की हिरासत में थी।

Cdr Pasricha: Oh, I get a range of them! "Will I adjust to the new world order?", "How is corporate life?", "Is there stability at work?", "What do I need to plan before leaving service?"—the list goes on. The transition can feel like stepping into uncharted territory, but trust me, it's nothing a Fauji can't handle!

Interviewer: That’s reassuring! But let's be honest—military life is all about discipline, structure, and a well-defined purpose. The corporate world, on the other hand, is more profit-driven. How does this impact retired personnel?
Cdr Pasricha: Ah, the great shift in purpose! In the military, every mission serves a greater good—national security, saving lives, protecting borders. In the corporate world, success is measured by profits, market shares, and business growth. Many veterans initially struggle to find meaning in their work. The trick is to align yourself with roles that resonate with your core values—leadership development, consulting, or even CSR initiatives. Find your mission within the mission!

Interviewer: Well said! Now, the work culture is another massive change. In the military, hierarchy is everything—orders are followed, no questions asked. But in corporate life, collaboration and debate are encouraged. How do retired officers adapt?
Cdr Pasricha: You nailed it! In the forces, when a command is given, it’s executed—period. In the corporate world, questioning, brainstorming, and debating ideas are the norm. Initially, this can feel chaotic for veterans. My advice? Observe first. Soak in the dynamics. Once you get the hang of it, you’ll see that leadership here is more about influence than authority.
And here’s a pro tip: Instead of giving orders, ask, "What do you think?"—it works wonders!

Interviewer: That’s a gold nugget right there! Another big shift must be decision-making. Military officers are trained to take quick, high-pressure decisions. But the corporate world thrives on stakeholder consensus. Is that a tough adjustment?
Cdr Pasricha: Absolutely! In the military, a delay in decision-making can be life-threatening. In business, it’s all about buy-in from different stakeholders, endless meetings, and navigating office politics. Initially, the pace can be frustrating. But once you learn the game, you’ll see that your ability to make firm, informed decisions is a superpower. Just learn to balance decisiveness with diplomacy.

Interviewer: Speaking of adjustments, work-life balance is another big one. Defence personnel live in a close-knit community. But in corporate life, people clock out and go their own way. How does this impact retired officers?
Cdr Pasricha: Oh, this is a real shocker! In the armed forces, your colleagues are your family. You live together, train together, celebrate together. Then suddenly, you’re in a world where relationships are transactional, and weekend plans are personal. The key is to build new networks—join corporate clubs, alumni groups, or even veteran communities. Find your tribe, and you won’t feel alone!

Interviewer: That makes sense. Now, let’s talk money. The military offers a structured salary, benefits, housing, and medical perks. In corporate life, it’s all about negotiations. How can veterans ensure they get their due?
Cdr Pasricha: Negotiating salaries? That’s foreign territory for most of us! In the forces, our pay scales are fixed. But in corporate life, everything is negotiable. My advice? Do your homework. Know your market value. Speak to other veterans who have transitioned. And don’t undersell yourself—your leadership, discipline, and crisis-management skills are priceless.

Interviewer: What about career progression? In the military, promotions are structured. But in business, growth depends on networking and performance. How do retired personnel adapt to this?
Cdr Pasricha: That’s a mindset shift! In the armed forces, you rise through the ranks over time. In corporate, you must actively chase opportunities—network, take on new challenges, switch functions if needed. It’s more of a jungle gym than a ladder. My tip? Be open to lateral moves; they often lead to bigger roles down the line!

Interviewer: This has been enlightening! Before we wrap up, can you share some tips for faujis planning their corporate transition?
Cdr Pasricha: Of course! Here are my top five:
Upskill yourself – An executive MBA, project management certification, or industry-specific training will make you job-ready.
Leverage veteran networks – Connect with those who have successfully transitioned; they’ll guide you through.
Embrace change – Be open to feedback, learn new skills, and adapt quickly.
Play to your strengths – Leadership, crisis management, discipline—these are gold in the corporate world.
Use specialized agencies – There are organizations that help veterans with job placements, resumes, and career counseling.

राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू और उनके इंडोनेशियाई समकक्ष प्रबोवो सुबियांटो, गणतंत्र दिवस के मुख्य अतिथि, को रविवार को पारंपरिक घोड़े से खींची जाने वाली ‘बग्गी’ में सवार होकर दिल्ली के कर्तव्य पथ पर लाया गया। 1984 में बंद की गई यह बग्गी पिछले साल वापस लौटी। इसने राष्ट्रपति मुर्मू और उनके फ्रांसीसी समकक्ष इमैनुएल मैक्रों, जो पिछले साल मुख्य अतिथि थे, को कर्तव्य पथ पर पहुंचाया।



परंपरा

सोने की परत चढ़ी, घोड़े से खींची जाने वाली यह बग्गी एक काले रंग की गाड़ी है, जिस पर सोने से राष्ट्रीय प्रतीक (चार शेर) उकेरे गए हैं। भारतीय और ऑस्ट्रियाई घोड़ों की मिश्रित नस्ल द्वारा खींची जाने वाली इस गाड़ी में सोने की परत चढ़ी रिम भी है। राष्ट्रपति, जो भारत के राष्ट्राध्यक्ष हैं, और मुख्य अतिथि को ले जाने वाली बग्गी को ‘राष्ट्रपति के अंगरक्षक’ या राष्ट्रपति के अंगरक्षक, भारतीय सेना की सबसे वरिष्ठ रेजिमेंट द्वारा अनुरक्षित किया जाता है।



बग्गी को क्यों बंद कर दिया गया था ?

ज्ञानी जैल सिंह ने 1984 में राष्ट्रपति बग्गी का इस्तेमाल किया था। उस वर्ष अक्टूबर में, तत्कालीन प्रधानमंत्री इंदिरा गांधी की उनके अंगरक्षकों द्वारा हत्या कर दी गई थी। इसके कारण सुरक्षा कारणों से यह परंपरा बंद कर दी गई। इसके बाद राष्ट्रपति लिमोसिन में आने लगे, जब तक कि बग्गी को लगभग 40 साल बाद, जनवरी 2024 में वापस नहीं लाया गया।



2014 में, तत्कालीन राष्ट्रपति प्रणब मुखर्जी ने बग्गी का इस्तेमाल किया, लेकिन बीटिंग रिट्रीट समारोह के लिए, जो 29 जनवरी को आयोजित किया जाता है, और गणतंत्र दिवस समारोह का समापन होता है। प्रणब मुखर्जी के उत्तराधिकारी रामनाथ कोविंद ने 2017 में शपथ लेने के बाद राष्ट्रपति की गाड़ी से गार्ड ऑफ ऑनर का निरीक्षण किया।

In addition to his global success, Basil is also the National MMA Champion in the Under-14 category, further solidifying his dominance in the sport. On October 31, 2021, he set a record recognized by the Indian Book of Records for the longest duration holding the abdominal plank position by a child. With an astonishing time of 2 hours, 34 minutes, and 40 seconds, Basil displayed incredible physical endurance and mental strength. This achievement, accomplished at Ezone Lagoon Resort in Bengaluru, is a testament to his unyielding determination and focus.
The driving force behind Basil’s success is his father and coach, Abdulmuneer, fondly known as Cutman Muneer. A passionate and experienced trainer, Abdulmuneer has been instrumental in shaping Basil’s martial arts career. Under his guidance, Basil has developed the discipline and skills necessary to excel at the highest level. He got his training at Body Force Fight Club. His mother, Nimshida, and sister, Mishamariyam, also play vital roles in providing Basil with a supportive environment that allows him to pursue his dreams.

He has a keen fascination with robotics and artificial intelligence, showcasing his curiosity and drive to learn beyond the ring. Comic Street – An exciting new initiative by TVAGA and ICA at Indiajoy
The Comic Street Awards 2024 debuted at the prestigious India Joy Digital Entertainment Festival at the Hyderabad International Convention Center (HICC). A collaboration between the Telangana VFX, Animation, and Gaming Association (TVAGA) and the Indian Comics Association (ICA), the awards celebrated exceptional talent in the Indian comics industry, marking a new chapter in the legacy of India Joy. The awards were presented by former beauty queen and Bollywood actress Ruhi Singh, whose presence added a touch of glamour and star power to the event. In recognition of her contributions to the creative industry, Himanshu Singhal, PR & Industry Head of ICA, presented a memento to Ruhi Singh.
The Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to the legendary cartoonist Abid Surti for his immense contributions to the Indian comics landscape. A true pioneer, Abid Surti is the creative genius behind Bahadur, India’s first-ever superhero, and has significantly shaped the Indian comics industry.
The ICA proudly hosted a panel discussion at Comic Street featuring prominent figures such as Sanjay Gupta (Raj Comics by Sanjay Gupta), Preeti Vyas (Amar Chitra Katha), Ajay Krishna (Forbidden Verse), and Ajitesh Sharma (Cinemics). The panel delved into various aspects of storytelling, industry evolution, and comic industry opportunities, offering invaluable insights and fostering engaging discussions among industry pioneers and enthusiasts.
Ajitesh Sharma, president of ICA, interacted with Prashant Varma, the visionary director of the highly acclaimed movie Hanu-Man, on Comics IP & Cinema. Ajay Krishna, Executive Member of ICA, presented a special memento to Prashant Varma, acknowledging his remarkable contributions to storytelling, creativity, and the growing universe of Indian superheroes.
Adding to the event's excitement, two new comic titles were launched: Chandrakanta, an Indian epic adapted into Comics by Cinemics, and Soul Contract, an Indian manga by Cosmics. These latest releases generated a buzz and showcased the vibrant creativity and innovation within the Indian comics industry.
 
An ICA Pavilion exhibiting Indian Comics was set up at Comics Street, and Ravi Tanwer, Anadi Abhilash, Mohamad Shabaz, Himanshu Singhal, Vasu Gupta, Saahil Sharma, Varun Malhotra, and Neelesh Makwane from ICA led the initiative. Moreover, ICA promoted the upcoming Comics Creator Championship, set to take place during Waves 2025, further engaging the community and encouraging creators to showcase their talent in this Create in India Challenge.
The event underscores India Joy’s commitment to fostering a thriving ecosystem for the AVGC sector. Telangana IT Minister KT Rama Rao highlighted that the festival embodies the state’s vision to position Hyderabad as a global hub, attracting more than 25,000 attendees globally and showcasing India's potential as a global media and entertainment industry leader.
