ट्रेड डील पर बातचीत जारी
राष्ट्रपति ट्रंप ने पीएम मोदी को ऐसे समय में फोन किया है, जब भारत और अमेरिका के प्रतिनिधियों के बीच ट्रेड डील पर बातचीत फिर से शुरु हो गई है। मंगलवार (16 सितंबर) को दोनों देशों के प्रतिनिधियों के बीच 7 घंटे लंबी मैराथन मीटिंग हुई थी। बैठक के बाद दोनों देश के प्रतिनिधियों ने बैठक को काफी सकारात्मक कहा है। अमेरिका ने मंगलवार को कहा कि उसके मुख्य वार्ताकार ब्रेंडन लिंच और भारत के वाणिज्य मंत्रालय में विशेष सचिव राजेश अग्रवाल के बीच द्विपक्षीय व्यापार समझौते को लेकर हुई बातचीत सकारात्मक रही। भारत स्थित अमेरिकी दूतावास ने कहा कि दोनों पक्षों ने नयी दिल्ली में आयोजित एक-दिवसीय बैठक के दौरान व्यापार वार्ता के अगले कदमों पर चर्चा की।

नेपाल की केपी शर्मा ओली सरकार ने फेसबुक, इंस्टाग्राम समेत 26 सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म से बैन हटा लिया है। यह फैसला सोमवार को देश भर में युवाओं के नेतृत्व में हुए हिंसक विरोध प्रदर्शन के लिए बाद लिया गया। नेपाल में सोशल मीडिया ऐप्स पर बैन के खिलाफ हजारों Gen-Z युवाओं ने सोमवार को राजधानी काठमांडू समेत कई शहरों में प्रदर्शन किया। हिंसक प्रदर्शन के दौरान 20 लोगों की मौत हो गई, जबकि 400 से ज्यादा लोग घायल हो गए। हिंसक प्रदर्शन के बाद नेपाल सरकार ने देर रात सोशल मीडिया से प्रतिबंध हटा लिया है। इससे पहले प्रधानमंत्री केपी शर्मा ओली ने बैन हटाने से इनकार किया था।

GEN-Z प्रदर्शनकारियों की पुलिस के साथ हिंसक झड़पें हुई थीं, जिसमें कम से कम 20 लोगों की मौत हो गई और 300 से ज्यादा घायल हुए हैं। नेपाल के संचार, सूचना एवं प्रसारण मंत्री पृथ्वी सुब्बा गुरुंग ने देर रात घोषणा की कि सोशल मीडिया साइटों पर प्रतिबंध लगान का फैसला वापस ले लिया गया है। एक आपातकालीन कैबिनेट बैठक के बाद मंत्री ने कहा, सरकार ने GEN-Z की मांग को रखते हुए सोशल मीडिया को खोलने का फैसला पहले ही कर लिया है।

इसके साथ ही कैबिनेट ने हिंसा की जांच के लिए एक जांच समिति का भी गठन किया है। कमेटी को 15 दिनों में रिपोर्ट तैयार करने को कहा गया है। प्रधानमंत्री केपी शर्मा ओली ने इन मौतों पर दुख जताया, साथ ही आरोप लगाया कि शांतिपूर्ण प्रदर्शन में कुछ असामाजिक तत्व घुस आए थे। सरकारी संपत्ति को बचाने के लिए बल प्रयोग करना पड़ा। प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि सरकार का मकसद सोशल मीडिया को बंद करना नहीं, बल्कि नियंत्रित करना था।

नेपाल की केपी शर्मा ओली सरकार ने फेसबुक, इंस्टाग्राम समेत 26 सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म से बैन हटा लिया है। यह फैसला सोमवार को देश भर में युवाओं के नेतृत्व में हुए हिंसक विरोध प्रदर्शन के लिए बाद लिया गया। नेपाल में सोशल मीडिया ऐप्स पर बैन के खिलाफ हजारों Gen-Z युवाओं ने सोमवार को राजधानी काठमांडू समेत कई शहरों में प्रदर्शन किया। हिंसक प्रदर्शन के दौरान 20 लोगों की मौत हो गई, जबकि 400 से ज्यादा लोग घायल हो गए। हिंसक प्रदर्शन के बाद नेपाल सरकार ने देर रात सोशल मीडिया से प्रतिबंध हटा लिया है। इससे पहले प्रधानमंत्री केपी शर्मा ओली ने बैन हटाने से इनकार किया था।

देर रात बेन हटाने की हुई घोषणा
GEN-Z प्रदर्शनकारियों की पुलिस के साथ हिंसक झड़पें हुई थीं, जिसमें कम से कम 20 लोगों की मौत हो गई और 300 से ज्यादा घायल हुए हैं। नेपाल के संचार, सूचना एवं प्रसारण मंत्री पृथ्वी सुब्बा गुरुंग ने देर रात घोषणा की कि सोशल मीडिया साइटों पर प्रतिबंध लगान का फैसला वापस ले लिया गया है। एक आपातकालीन कैबिनेट बैठक के बाद मंत्री ने कहा, सरकार ने GEN-Z की मांग को रखते हुए सोशल मीडिया को खोलने का फैसला पहले ही कर लिया है।

पहले लिए गए फैसले पर सरकार को पछतावा नहीं
हालांकि, मंत्री ने कहा कि सरकार को सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म बंद करने को लेकर पहले लिए गए फैसले पर कोई पछतावा नहीं है। गुरुंग ने कहा, 'इस मुद्दे को बहाने के तौर पर इस्तेमाल करके विरोध प्रदर्शन किए जा रहे थे, इसलिए सोशल मीडिया साइटों को फिर से खोलने का फैसला लिया गया है।' गुरुंग ने जेन-जी प्रदर्शनकारियों के विरोध प्रदर्शन वापस लेने की अपील की।

नेपाली गृह मंत्री रमेश लेखक का इस्तीफा
इससे पहले सोमवार को नेपाल में भ्रष्टाचार और सोशल मीडिया पर पाबंदी के खिलाफ युवाओं न जोरदार प्रदर्शन का। विरोध प्रदर्शन के हिंसक हो जाने से 20 लोगों की मौत हो गई। पुलिस और प्रदर्शनकारियों के बीच कई जगह झड़पें हुईं। काठमांडो में प्रदर्शनकारी संसद भवन परिसर में घुस गए और तोड़फोड़ की। विरोध प्रदर्शन पोखरा, बुटवल, भैरहवा, भरतपुर, इटाहारी और दमक तक फैल गया। हालात काबू में करने के लिए काठमांडो समेत कई शहरों में कर्फ्यू लगाने के साथ सेना को तैनात करना पड़ा। बेकाबू हिंसा के बाद नेपाली गृह मंत्री रमेश लेखक को इस्तीफा दे दिया। 

हिंसा की जांच के लिए कमेटी बनेगी
इसके साथ ही कैबिनेट ने हिंसा की जांच के लिए एक जांच समिति का भी गठन किया है। कमेटी को 15 दिनों में रिपोर्ट तैयार करने को कहा गया है। प्रधानमंत्री केपी शर्मा ओली ने इन मौतों पर दुख जताया, साथ ही आरोप लगाया कि शांतिपूर्ण प्रदर्शन में कुछ असामाजिक तत्व घुस आए थे। सरकारी संपत्ति को बचाने के लिए बल प्रयोग करना पड़ा। प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि सरकार का मकसद सोशल मीडिया को बंद करना नहीं, बल्कि नियंत्रित करना था।
