ISL 2024-25 Media Day: “Trophies in the past don’t matter; you are only as good as your last game”, says NorthEast United FC head coach Juan Pedro Benali





KKNB: The Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 Media Day began in Kolkata with representatives from seven clubs, i.e. Mohun Bagan Super Giant, East Bengal FC, Mohammedan SC, Odisha FC, Jamshedpur FC, Punjab FC and NorthEast United FC previewing the upcoming season.

The event saw a blend of new and familiar faces, with Mohun Bagan's Jose Molina and Punjab FC's Panagiotis Dilmperis making their ISL debuts as head coaches, while veterans like Sergio Lobera, Khalid Jamil, Juan Pedro Benali, and Carles Cuadrat discussed their strategies for the campaign.

The discussions, however, began with the newly-promoted Mohammedan SC head coach Andrey Chernyshov expressing his pleasure at joining the ISL, with his captain Samad Ali Mallick underlining their ambitions to challenge for the playoffs straightaway.

“It’s a nice feeling to be a part of the ISL family. We did a great job last year by winning the I-League. I am thrilled about our supporters. They had been expecting this for many years. I can’t wait to get started with the league,” Chernyshov said.

The two other Kolkata heavyweights are on their desired track ahead of the coming ISL campaign. Whilst the Mariners embark on the coveted title defence, East Bengal FC are bolstered by solid reinforcements to their squad in the summer.

“It’s a process to prepare the team for the ISL. We have been working together for a month and there are still a few things to improve upon. We are confident in our players and the way we have trained until now,” Jose Molina said.

East Bengal FC tactician Cuadrat overlooked comparisons from their sluggish start last year to insist confidently that his team will hit the ground running from their opening fixture this time around.

“It’s a different season with different players, and hence I wouldn’t like to compare to the last campaign, because every team is in a different situation as they were last time around. We have the complete squad with us and we will have to be competitive from day one,” Cuadrat said.

 Lobera eyes ISL title with Odisha FC 

Odisha FC, who finished fourth last season, are basking on their storied run across multiple competitions in 2023-24 to produce similarly impressive outings this year too.

“It’s been six years in India for me now. We had an amazing season last year, finishing at the top of the group in the AFC Cup. We were close to winning the Super Cup and we reached the ISL semi-finals for the first time in the club’s history. It was an amazing run and we want to replicate that this year to put a smile on the faces of the fans,” Lobera said.



 Challengers for the playoffs spots 

The trio of Punjab FC, NorthEast United, and Jamshedpur FC had ignited an exciting late challenge for the playoffs last season, falling short at the final hurdle. Since then, the Highlanders have gone from strength to strength, winning the club’s first trophy with the Durand Cup last month.

“We are now starting to realise with what we did in the Durand Cup! But, now, we look forward to the ISL and there’s another story that’s waiting for us in the coming season. Trophies in the past don’t make you play better. You are only as good as your last game,” Benali mentioned.

Jamshedpur FC’s Khalid Jamil praised the ISL for bringing in new rules, such as the introduction of the concussion substitute, mandating an AFC Pro License holding (or equivalent) Indian assistant coach, amongst others. Considering that he is one of the two Indian head coaches in the ISL along with Thangboi Singto of Hyderabad FC, Jamil said, “These new rules will help in the development of Indian football. We shall study it in detail and see how they could help us benefit during the course of the season as well.”

For Punjab FC, they have a new coach at helm in Greek tactician Panagiotis Dilmperis. The team has made some smart acquisitions in the transfer window and Dimperis expressed satisfaction at the same, whereas skipper Luka Majcen stressed upon the importance of a positive start.

“I am really lucky with all the players we have got in the Punjab FC roster. They are all great personalities and our aim is to achieve greater heights than we did last year,” Dimperis said.

এসবি নিউজ ব্যুরো:পশ্চিমবঙ্গ বিধানসভায় ঐতিহাসিক অপরাজিতা নারী ও শিশু বিল, যেখানে ধর্ষণের জন্য মৃত্যুদণ্ড-সহ কঠোরতম শাস্তির প্রস্তাব করা হয়েছে, পাস হওয়ার একদিন পরেই এনসিপি (এসপি) প্রধান শরদ পাওয়ার মহারাষ্ট্রেও একইরকম একটি বিল আনার ইচ্ছা প্রকাশ করেছেন। সর্বভারতীয় তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস শরদ পাওয়ারের এই সিদ্ধান্তকে স্বাগত জানিয়ে বলেছে যে, ধর্ষণের বিরুদ্ধে আন্দোলনকে আরও শক্তিশালী করতে এই পদক্ষেপ গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।

এই পদক্ষেপটি এই সত্যেরও প্রমাণ যে, সংস্কারের ক্ষেত্রে বাংলা সর্বদা অগ্রণী ভূমিকা পালন করেছে। এটি বাংলা-বিরোধী শক্তিগুলোর জন্যও উপযুক্ত জবাব, যারা দীর্ঘদিন ধরে দিল্লির জমিদারদের নির্দেশে বাংলার ভাবমূর্তি নষ্ট করার সর্বাত্মক চেষ্টা করে আসছে।

অপরাজিতা মহিলা ও শিশু (পশ্চিমবঙ্গ অপরাধ আইন সংশোধনী) বিল, ২০২৪ - যা সর্বসম্মতিক্রমে পাস হয়েছে - তাতে তিনটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ উপাদান রয়েছে:

 অপরাধীর জন্য কঠোর শাস্তি,
 দ্রুত তদন্ত, এবং
* দ্রুত ন্যায়বিচারের ব্যবস্থা।

বিএনএসের অধীনে যৌন হেনস্তার মামলাগুলি ছাড়াও, বিলটি পকসো আইনের অধীনে দায়ের করা মামলাগুলোকেও লক্ষ্য করেছে।

এছাড়াও, ধর্ষণ-বিরোধী বিলটি রাজ্যের প্রতিটি জেলায় ‘অপরাজিতা টাস্ক ফোর্স’ গঠনেরও ব্যবস্থা করেছে।

সর্বভারতীয় তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস নিজেদের এক্স হ্যান্ডেলে লিখেছে , "What Bengal thinks today, India thinks tomorrow! Under the leadership of Smt. GoWB is taking decisive action to ensure that women can live without fear. The Aparajita Anti-Rape Bill has prompted a leader of stature to call for a similar legislation in Maharashtra!" 

"গতকাল, রাজ্যের বিধানসভায় যে ঐতিহাসিক বিলটি পাশ করা হয়েছে তাতে ধর্ষণের দোষীদের কঠোরতম শাস্তির কথা বলা হয়েছে। এটিকে উদাহরণ হিসাবে গ্রহণ করে, অন্যান্য রাজ্যগুলিও এই ঐতিহাসিক পদক্ষেপটি বাস্তবায়নের পরিকল্পনা করছে। উদাহরণস্বরূপ, এনসিপি (এসপি) প্রধান শরদ পওয়ার মহারাষ্ট্রেও একইরকম একটি বিল আনার ইচ্ছা প্রকাশ করেছেন। বাংলার এই উল্লেখযোগ্য পদক্ষেপটি মহিলাদের সুরক্ষা নিশ্চিত করার জন্য একটি নতুন পথ দেখিয়েছে, " রাজ্যের অর্থমন্ত্রী চন্দ্রিমা ভট্টাচার্য বলেছেন৷

এনসিপি (এসপি) প্রধানের অপরাজিতা বিল অনুকরণের সিদ্ধান্তের বিষয়ে সর্বভারতীয় তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসের জাতীয় মুখপাত্র এবং রাজ্যের মহিলা ও শিশু উন্নয়ন মন্ত্রী ড. শশী পাঁজা নিজের এক্স হ্যান্ডেলে লিখেছেন, 
"BENGAL SHOWS THE WAY. Now, Shri Sharad Pawar has pitched for West Bengal-like anti-rape bill in Maharashtra."

"মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় অপরাজিতা বিলের মাধ্যমে ইতিহাস তৈরি করেছেন। এটি শুধুমাত্র মৃত্যুদণ্ড নিশ্চিত করে না, বরং ধর্ষণের দোষীদের জন্য কঠোর শাস্তিরও আহ্বান জানায়। এটি মহিলাদের নিরাপত্তা ও সুরক্ষা জোরদার করবে। এনসিপি (এসপি) প্রধান শরদ পওয়ার এই বিলটিকে শুধু স্বাগত জানাননি, বরং এই বিলটিকে তিনি একটি 'মডেল' হিসাবেও অভিহিত করে বলেছেন যে এটা সারা দেশে বাস্তবায়ন করা উচিত। উনি বলেছেন যে মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় এই বিলের দ্বারা একটি নজির স্থাপন করেছেন। বাংলা আজ যা ভাবে, ভারতবর্ষ আগামীকাল তাই ভাবে এবং ভাবতে হবে" তৃণমূল মুখপাত্র কুণাল ঘোষ বলেছেন।

বুধবার রাজ্য বিধানসভায় ভাষণ দেওয়ার সময় পশ্চিমবঙ্গের মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় বলেন, "ধর্ষণ এখন জাতীয় লজ্জার বিষয় হয়ে দাঁড়িয়েছে। আসুন আমরা সবাই একত্রে এই সমস্যার মোকাবিলা করি। এই সমস্যার সমাধানে সমাজ সংস্কার ও মানুষের জাগরণের প্রয়োজন। অতীতেও পশ্চিমবঙ্গ এমন সংস্কার নেতৃত্ব দিয়েছে। রোগ থাকলে, তার চিকিৎসা হওয়া উচিত।"

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী আরও বলেন, "দেশে ধর্ষণের জন্য বর্তমান শাস্তি যথেষ্ট নয় – কেন ধর্ষকরা এমন কাজ করার সাহস পাচ্ছে? আমাদের এ বিষয়ে ভাবতে হবে। ২০২২ সালের ক্রাইম ইন ইন্ডিয়া-তে প্রকাশিত ডেটা অনুযায়ী, দেশে ধর্ষণ সংক্রান্ত মামলায় ৭৬% ক্ষেত্রে তদন্ত শেষ করে পুলিশ চার্জশিট জমা দিতে পেরেছে, কিন্তু মাত্র ২.৫৬% ক্ষেত্রে অভিযুক্তকে দোষী প্রমাণ করা হয়েছে। এই সমস্যাটি মোকাবিলা করতে হবে।"

এর আগে, সর্বভারতীয় তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসের সাধারণ সম্পাদক এবং ডায়মন্ড হারবারের সাংসদ অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় ধর্ষণের বিরুদ্ধে একটি সর্বাঙ্গীণ আইন প্রণয়নের দাবি জানিয়েছেন, যা সময়সীমার মধ্যে অপরাধীদের জন্য কঠোর শাস্তি নিশ্চিত করবে।

"Given the harrowing statistic of a RAPE EVERY 15 MINUTES, the demand for a COMPREHENSIVE TIME-BOUND ANTI-RAPE LAW is more pressing than ever. BENGAL is leading the charge with its ANTI-RAPE BILL. The Union must now take decisive action - whether by ordinance or BNSS amendment in the upcoming parliament session to ensure that justice is both swift and severe, with TRIALS AND CONVICTIONS concluded in 50 DAYS," উনি নিজের এক্স হ্যান্ডেলে লিখেছেন।

వరద బాధితులకు స్వచ్ఛందంగా ఆహారం ఇవ్వదలచిన దాతల కోసం ఇందిరాగాంధీ మున్సిపల్ స్టేడియంలో పాయింట్ ఏర్పాటు చేశారు. సాయం చేసే దాతలు ఐఏఎస్ మనజీర్‌ను సంప్రదించాలని ప్రభుత్వం ప్రకటించింది. ఆయన నెంబర్ కూడా ప్రకటించింది. దాతలు 79067 96105 కు సంప్రదించొచ్చని తెలిపింది. ఇక వ్యక్తిగత ధన సహాయం చేయదల్చిన దాతలు ఆన్‌లైన్ ద్వారా చెల్లించొచ్చని ప్రభుత్వం తెలిపింది. ఇందుకోసం ప్రభుత్వ బ్యాంక్ అకౌంట్ వివరాలను ప్రకటించింది.

The 7th Foundation Day of CPL Diagnostics Pvt. Ltd., a forerunner in laboratory diagnostics, was celebrated with much fanfare on Sunday, August 18th, 2024, at the Utsav Mancha Auditorium in Kankurgachi, Kolkata. It is indeed a turning point in the company's journey, reflecting its doctrine of excellence in healthcare with an eclectic mix of scientific sessions and vibrant cultural performances.
The "Marking Milestones of Excellence" program was inaugurated at 2:30 PM with a scintillating cultural dance performance by Ms. Deeksha Gupta, which set the very tone of celebrations for the day. Dr Tarun Roy, MD, DNB, Consultant Pathologist, CPL Diagnostics Pvt. Ltd. welcomed the audience, including doctors and business associates, as he went down memory lane on the company's seven-year journey and its achievements.

After the welcome address, Dr M.M. Ghatak, MD, Founder and Director of the Medical Rehabilitation Centre, Kolkata, delivered the keynote speech. He praised CPL Diagnostics for its contribution to the health sector, mainly diagnostic services, and called for maintaining high standards in the industry.

Dr. Koushik Ray, PhD (Marketing), Founder & Director of CPL Diagnostics Pvt. The following scientific sessions were quite informative and interesting. Dr Anupam Basu, Professor of Molecular Biology and Human Genetics Laboratory, Burdwan University, and Former Visiting Fellow of the Department of Bioinformatics, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, and Postdoctoral fellow of the Department of Cell Biology and Physiology, School of Medicine, University of New Mexico, USA, a leading scientist, delivered his lecture on the hemoglobinopathy and Next-Generation Sequencing. 

Besides the scientific deliberations, a cultural function, "Rituranga," was conceptualised as an amalgamation of music and dance items that celebrated the mosaic of richness and diversity in Indian culture. Indeed, this provided a perfect counterbalance to the scientific rigour of the day and once more reiterated CPL Diagnostics' commitment to scientific excellence and community engagement in equal measure.

समुद्र में बढ़ी हलचलः श्रीलंका में भारत ने एक तो चीन ने तीन युद्धपोत किए तैनात

हिंद महासागर एक ऐसा क्षेत्र बन गया है जहां चीन और भारत अपना-अपना दबदबा कायम करना चाहते हैं। इस बीच एक हैरान कर देने वाली घटना घटी है। भारतीय नौसेना का पोत आईएनएस मुंबई श्रीलंका की तीन दिवसीय यात्रा पर सोमवार को कोलंबो बंदरगाह पहुंचा। संयोग से चीनी नौसेना के तीन युद्धपोत भी आज कोलंबो बंदरगाह पहुंचे।यानी श्रीलंका की राजधानी कोलंबो में एक ही दिन भारत और चीन के 4 वॉरशिप पहुंचे। जिसने हलचल पैदा कर दी है।

श्रीलंका नौसेना ने एक प्रेस विज्ञप्ति में कहा कि भारतीय नौसेना का जहाज 'मुंबई' श्रीलंका की तीन दिवसीय यात्रा पर है। इस बीच, श्रीलंका नौसेना ने कहा कि चीनी पीपुल्स लिबरेशन आर्मी की नौसेना के तीन युद्धपोत हे फेई, वुझिशान और किलियानशान भी सोमवार सुबह औपचारिक यात्रा पर कोलंबो बंदरगाह पहुंचे।

क्यों दोनों देश के युद्धपोत कोलंबो पहुंचे हैं
बता दें कि कोलंबो में श्रीलंका ने आईएन मुंबई का स्वागत किया, जिसकी कमान कैप्टन संदीप कुमार के हाथों में है और जिसमें 410 नाविकों का दल है। साथ ही कोलंबों ने चीनी युद्धपोतों का भी स्वागत किया। हे फेई 144.50 मीटर लंबा युद्धपोत है, जिस पर चालक दल के 267 सदस्य सवार हैं, जबकि वुझिशान 210 मीटर लंबा युद्धपोत है, जिस पर चालक दल के 872 सदस्य हैं वहीं किलियानशान 210 मीटर लंबा युद्धपोत है, जिसमें चालक दल के 334 सदस्य सवार हैं। आईएनएस मुंबई और चीनी युद्धपोतों को श्रीलंकाई युद्धपोतों के साथ अलग-अलग “पैसेज अभ्यास” करने का कार्यक्रम है, जो 29 अगस्त को ही होगा।
विज्ञप्ति के अनुसार आईएनएस मुंबई श्रीलंकाई नौसेना के साथ संयुक्त गतिविधियों जैसे खेल, योग और तटीय क्षेत्र की सफाई आदि में भी शामिल होगा। आईएनएस मुंबई 29 अगस्त को कोलंबो तट पर श्रीलंका नौसेना के एक जहाज के साथ 'पैसेज एक्सरसाइज' में भी भाग लेगा।

श्रीलंकाई द्वीप पर चीनी जहाज के रुकने को लेकर चिंतित भारत
द हिन्दू बिजनेसलाइन के मुताबिक दोनों देशों के वॉरशिप का एक ही दिन कोलंबो पोर्ट पर आना काफी अनोखा है। दरअसल भारत लंबे समय से श्रीलंकाई द्वीप पर चीनी जहाज के रुकने को लेकर चिंता जताता रहा है। पिछले साल भारत ने कहा था कि चीन अपने रिसर्च वैसल्स के जरिए भारत की जासूसी करने की कोशिश कर रहा है। इसके बाद श्रीलंका ने सितंबर 2023 में चीन के जहाजों को अपने देश में रुकने की इजाजत देने से इनकार कर दिया था। हालांकि कुछ महीने पहले श्रीलंका ने ये रोक हटा दी थी।

रिसर्च शिप के नाम पर चीन करता है जासूसी!
चीन के पास कई जासूसी जहाज हैं। वो भले ही कहता हो कि वो इन शिप का इस्तेमाल रिसर्च के लिए करता है, लेकिन इनमें पावरफुल मिलिट्री सर्विलांस सिस्टम होते हैं। जासूसी जहाजों को चीन की सेना ऑपरेट करती हैचीनी जासूसी जहाज पूरे प्रशांत, अटलांटिक और हिंद महासागर में काम करने में सक्षम हैं। मालदीव और श्रीलंकाई बंदरगाह पर पहुंचने वाले चीनी जहाजों की जद में आंध्रप्रदेश, केरल और तमिलनाडु के कई समुद्री तट आ जाते हैं।
अमेरिकी रक्षा विभाग की रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, इस शिप को चीन की पीपुल्स लिबरेशन आर्मी यानी पीएलए की स्ट्रैटेजिक सपोर्ट फोर्स यानी एसएसएफ ऑपरेट करती है। एसएसएफ थिएटर कमांड लेवल का ऑर्गेनाइजेशन है। यह पीएलए को स्पेस, साइबर, इलेक्ट्रॉनिक, इन्फॉर्मेशन, कम्युनिकेशन और साइकोलॉजिकल वारफेयर मिशन में मदद करती है।
चीन के जासूसी जहाज पावरफुल ट्रैकिंग शिप हैं। शिप में हाईटेक ईव्सड्रॉपिंग इक्विपमेंट (छिपकर सुनने वाले उपकरण) लगे हैं। इससे यह 1,000 किमी दूर हो रही बातचीत को सुन सकता है। मिसाइल ट्रैकिंग शिप में रडार और एंटीना से बना इलेक्ट्रॉनिक सिस्टम लगा होता है। ये सिस्टम अपनी रेंज में आने वाली मिसाइल को ट्रैक कर लेता है और उसकी जानकारी एयर डिफेंस सिस्टम को भेज देता है। यानी, एयर डिफेंस सिस्टम की रेंज में आने से पहले ही मिसाइल की जानकारी मिल जाती है और हमले को नाकाम किया जा सकता है।

ISL 2024-25 Media Day: “Trophies in the past don’t matter; you are only as good as your last game”, says NorthEast United FC head coach Juan Pedro Benali





KKNB: The Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 Media Day began in Kolkata with representatives from seven clubs, i.e. Mohun Bagan Super Giant, East Bengal FC, Mohammedan SC, Odisha FC, Jamshedpur FC, Punjab FC and NorthEast United FC previewing the upcoming season.

The event saw a blend of new and familiar faces, with Mohun Bagan's Jose Molina and Punjab FC's Panagiotis Dilmperis making their ISL debuts as head coaches, while veterans like Sergio Lobera, Khalid Jamil, Juan Pedro Benali, and Carles Cuadrat discussed their strategies for the campaign.

The discussions, however, began with the newly-promoted Mohammedan SC head coach Andrey Chernyshov expressing his pleasure at joining the ISL, with his captain Samad Ali Mallick underlining their ambitions to challenge for the playoffs straightaway.

“It’s a nice feeling to be a part of the ISL family. We did a great job last year by winning the I-League. I am thrilled about our supporters. They had been expecting this for many years. I can’t wait to get started with the league,” Chernyshov said.

The two other Kolkata heavyweights are on their desired track ahead of the coming ISL campaign. Whilst the Mariners embark on the coveted title defence, East Bengal FC are bolstered by solid reinforcements to their squad in the summer.

“It’s a process to prepare the team for the ISL. We have been working together for a month and there are still a few things to improve upon. We are confident in our players and the way we have trained until now,” Jose Molina said.

East Bengal FC tactician Cuadrat overlooked comparisons from their sluggish start last year to insist confidently that his team will hit the ground running from their opening fixture this time around.

“It’s a different season with different players, and hence I wouldn’t like to compare to the last campaign, because every team is in a different situation as they were last time around. We have the complete squad with us and we will have to be competitive from day one,” Cuadrat said.

 Lobera eyes ISL title with Odisha FC 

Odisha FC, who finished fourth last season, are basking on their storied run across multiple competitions in 2023-24 to produce similarly impressive outings this year too.

“It’s been six years in India for me now. We had an amazing season last year, finishing at the top of the group in the AFC Cup. We were close to winning the Super Cup and we reached the ISL semi-finals for the first time in the club’s history. It was an amazing run and we want to replicate that this year to put a smile on the faces of the fans,” Lobera said.



 Challengers for the playoffs spots 

The trio of Punjab FC, NorthEast United, and Jamshedpur FC had ignited an exciting late challenge for the playoffs last season, falling short at the final hurdle. Since then, the Highlanders have gone from strength to strength, winning the club’s first trophy with the Durand Cup last month.

“We are now starting to realise with what we did in the Durand Cup! But, now, we look forward to the ISL and there’s another story that’s waiting for us in the coming season. Trophies in the past don’t make you play better. You are only as good as your last game,” Benali mentioned.

Jamshedpur FC’s Khalid Jamil praised the ISL for bringing in new rules, such as the introduction of the concussion substitute, mandating an AFC Pro License holding (or equivalent) Indian assistant coach, amongst others. Considering that he is one of the two Indian head coaches in the ISL along with Thangboi Singto of Hyderabad FC, Jamil said, “These new rules will help in the development of Indian football. We shall study it in detail and see how they could help us benefit during the course of the season as well.”

For Punjab FC, they have a new coach at helm in Greek tactician Panagiotis Dilmperis. The team has made some smart acquisitions in the transfer window and Dimperis expressed satisfaction at the same, whereas skipper Luka Majcen stressed upon the importance of a positive start.

“I am really lucky with all the players we have got in the Punjab FC roster. They are all great personalities and our aim is to achieve greater heights than we did last year,” Dimperis said.

এসবি নিউজ ব্যুরো:পশ্চিমবঙ্গ বিধানসভায় ঐতিহাসিক অপরাজিতা নারী ও শিশু বিল, যেখানে ধর্ষণের জন্য মৃত্যুদণ্ড-সহ কঠোরতম শাস্তির প্রস্তাব করা হয়েছে, পাস হওয়ার একদিন পরেই এনসিপি (এসপি) প্রধান শরদ পাওয়ার মহারাষ্ট্রেও একইরকম একটি বিল আনার ইচ্ছা প্রকাশ করেছেন। সর্বভারতীয় তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস শরদ পাওয়ারের এই সিদ্ধান্তকে স্বাগত জানিয়ে বলেছে যে, ধর্ষণের বিরুদ্ধে আন্দোলনকে আরও শক্তিশালী করতে এই পদক্ষেপ গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।

এই পদক্ষেপটি এই সত্যেরও প্রমাণ যে, সংস্কারের ক্ষেত্রে বাংলা সর্বদা অগ্রণী ভূমিকা পালন করেছে। এটি বাংলা-বিরোধী শক্তিগুলোর জন্যও উপযুক্ত জবাব, যারা দীর্ঘদিন ধরে দিল্লির জমিদারদের নির্দেশে বাংলার ভাবমূর্তি নষ্ট করার সর্বাত্মক চেষ্টা করে আসছে।

অপরাজিতা মহিলা ও শিশু (পশ্চিমবঙ্গ অপরাধ আইন সংশোধনী) বিল, ২০২৪ - যা সর্বসম্মতিক্রমে পাস হয়েছে - তাতে তিনটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ উপাদান রয়েছে:

 অপরাধীর জন্য কঠোর শাস্তি,
 দ্রুত তদন্ত, এবং
* দ্রুত ন্যায়বিচারের ব্যবস্থা।

বিএনএসের অধীনে যৌন হেনস্তার মামলাগুলি ছাড়াও, বিলটি পকসো আইনের অধীনে দায়ের করা মামলাগুলোকেও লক্ষ্য করেছে।

এছাড়াও, ধর্ষণ-বিরোধী বিলটি রাজ্যের প্রতিটি জেলায় ‘অপরাজিতা টাস্ক ফোর্স’ গঠনেরও ব্যবস্থা করেছে।

সর্বভারতীয় তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস নিজেদের এক্স হ্যান্ডেলে লিখেছে , "What Bengal thinks today, India thinks tomorrow! Under the leadership of Smt. GoWB is taking decisive action to ensure that women can live without fear. The Aparajita Anti-Rape Bill has prompted a leader of stature to call for a similar legislation in Maharashtra!" 

"গতকাল, রাজ্যের বিধানসভায় যে ঐতিহাসিক বিলটি পাশ করা হয়েছে তাতে ধর্ষণের দোষীদের কঠোরতম শাস্তির কথা বলা হয়েছে। এটিকে উদাহরণ হিসাবে গ্রহণ করে, অন্যান্য রাজ্যগুলিও এই ঐতিহাসিক পদক্ষেপটি বাস্তবায়নের পরিকল্পনা করছে। উদাহরণস্বরূপ, এনসিপি (এসপি) প্রধান শরদ পওয়ার মহারাষ্ট্রেও একইরকম একটি বিল আনার ইচ্ছা প্রকাশ করেছেন। বাংলার এই উল্লেখযোগ্য পদক্ষেপটি মহিলাদের সুরক্ষা নিশ্চিত করার জন্য একটি নতুন পথ দেখিয়েছে, " রাজ্যের অর্থমন্ত্রী চন্দ্রিমা ভট্টাচার্য বলেছেন৷

"মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় অপরাজিতা বিলের মাধ্যমে ইতিহাস তৈরি করেছেন। এটি শুধুমাত্র মৃত্যুদণ্ড নিশ্চিত করে না, বরং ধর্ষণের দোষীদের জন্য কঠোর শাস্তিরও আহ্বান জানায়। এটি মহিলাদের নিরাপত্তা ও সুরক্ষা জোরদার করবে। এনসিপি (এসপি) প্রধান শরদ পওয়ার এই বিলটিকে শুধু স্বাগত জানাননি, বরং এই বিলটিকে তিনি একটি 'মডেল' হিসাবেও অভিহিত করে বলেছেন যে এটা সারা দেশে বাস্তবায়ন করা উচিত। উনি বলেছেন যে মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় এই বিলের দ্বারা একটি নজির স্থাপন করেছেন। বাংলা আজ যা ভাবে, ভারতবর্ষ আগামীকাল তাই ভাবে এবং ভাবতে হবে" তৃণমূল মুখপাত্র কুণাল ঘোষ বলেছেন।

বুধবার রাজ্য বিধানসভায় ভাষণ দেওয়ার সময় পশ্চিমবঙ্গের মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় বলেন, "ধর্ষণ এখন জাতীয় লজ্জার বিষয় হয়ে দাঁড়িয়েছে। আসুন আমরা সবাই একত্রে এই সমস্যার মোকাবিলা করি। এই সমস্যার সমাধানে সমাজ সংস্কার ও মানুষের জাগরণের প্রয়োজন। অতীতেও পশ্চিমবঙ্গ এমন সংস্কার নেতৃত্ব দিয়েছে। রোগ থাকলে, তার চিকিৎসা হওয়া উচিত।"

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী আরও বলেন, "দেশে ধর্ষণের জন্য বর্তমান শাস্তি যথেষ্ট নয় – কেন ধর্ষকরা এমন কাজ করার সাহস পাচ্ছে? আমাদের এ বিষয়ে ভাবতে হবে। ২০২২ সালের ক্রাইম ইন ইন্ডিয়া-তে প্রকাশিত ডেটা অনুযায়ী, দেশে ধর্ষণ সংক্রান্ত মামলায় ৭৬% ক্ষেত্রে তদন্ত শেষ করে পুলিশ চার্জশিট জমা দিতে পেরেছে, কিন্তু মাত্র ২.৫৬% ক্ষেত্রে অভিযুক্তকে দোষী প্রমাণ করা হয়েছে। এই সমস্যাটি মোকাবিলা করতে হবে।"

এর আগে, সর্বভারতীয় তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসের সাধারণ সম্পাদক এবং ডায়মন্ড হারবারের সাংসদ অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় ধর্ষণের বিরুদ্ধে একটি সর্বাঙ্গীণ আইন প্রণয়নের দাবি জানিয়েছেন, যা সময়সীমার মধ্যে অপরাধীদের জন্য কঠোর শাস্তি নিশ্চিত করবে।

ఊహించని ఉపద్రవం వారిని ముంచెత్తింది. ఒక్కసారిగా దూసుకొచ్చిన రాకసి వరద.. నిలువ నీడ లేకుండా చేసింది. ఇళ్లకు ఇళ్లను ముంచెత్తడంతో వేలాది మంది నిరాశ్రయులయ్యారు. కట్టుబట్టలు మినహా దిక్కులేక ఆర్తనాదాలు చేస్తున్నారు. ఆదుకోండయ్యా అని దీనంగా చూస్తున్నారు. ఇలాంటి సమయంలోనే.. సాటి మనుషుగా వరద బాధితులకు మనందరం అండగా ఉండాల్సిన అవసరం ఉంది. ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ ప్రభుత్వం సైతం తనవంతు బాధితులకు భరోసా ఇస్తోంది. వరద బాధితులు భారీ స్థాయిలో ఉండటంతో దాతలు, స్వచ్ఛంద సంస్థలు ముందుకు రావాలని ముఖ్యమంత్రి చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు పిలుపునిచ్చారు. దాతలు తమకు తోచినంత సాయం చేయాలని.. వరద బాధితులకు అండగా నిలవాలని పిలుపునిచ్చారు. ఇప్పటికే చాలా మంది ప్రముఖులు వరద బాధితుల కోసం సీఎం సహాయ నిధికి విరాళాలు ఇస్తున్నారు.

  

వరద బాధితులకు స్వచ్ఛందంగా ఆహారం ఇవ్వదలచిన దాతల కోసం ఇందిరాగాంధీ మున్సిపల్ స్టేడియంలో పాయింట్ ఏర్పాటు చేశారు. సాయం చేసే దాతలు ఐఏఎస్ మనజీర్‌ను సంప్రదించాలని ప్రభుత్వం ప్రకటించింది. ఆయన నెంబర్ కూడా ప్రకటించింది. దాతలు 79067 96105 కు సంప్రదించొచ్చని తెలిపింది. ఇక వ్యక్తిగత ధన సహాయం చేయదల్చిన దాతలు ఆన్‌లైన్ ద్వారా చెల్లించొచ్చని ప్రభుత్వం తెలిపింది. ఇందుకోసం ప్రభుత్వ బ్యాంక్ అకౌంట్ వివరాలను ప్రకటించింది.

The 7th Foundation Day of CPL Diagnostics Pvt. Ltd., a forerunner in laboratory diagnostics, was celebrated with much fanfare on Sunday, August 18th, 2024, at the Utsav Mancha Auditorium in Kankurgachi, Kolkata. It is indeed a turning point in the company's journey, reflecting its doctrine of excellence in healthcare with an eclectic mix of scientific sessions and vibrant cultural performances.
The "Marking Milestones of Excellence" program was inaugurated at 2:30 PM with a scintillating cultural dance performance by Ms. Deeksha Gupta, which set the very tone of celebrations for the day. Dr Tarun Roy, MD, DNB, Consultant Pathologist, CPL Diagnostics Pvt. Ltd. welcomed the audience, including doctors and business associates, as he went down memory lane on the company's seven-year journey and its achievements.

After the welcome address, Dr M.M. Ghatak, MD, Founder and Director of the Medical Rehabilitation Centre, Kolkata, delivered the keynote speech. He praised CPL Diagnostics for its contribution to the health sector, mainly diagnostic services, and called for maintaining high standards in the industry.

Dr. Koushik Ray, PhD (Marketing), Founder & Director of CPL Diagnostics Pvt. The following scientific sessions were quite informative and interesting. Dr Anupam Basu, Professor of Molecular Biology and Human Genetics Laboratory, Burdwan University, and Former Visiting Fellow of the Department of Bioinformatics, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, and Postdoctoral fellow of the Department of Cell Biology and Physiology, School of Medicine, University of New Mexico, USA, a leading scientist, delivered his lecture on the hemoglobinopathy and Next-Generation Sequencing. 

Besides the scientific deliberations, a cultural function, "Rituranga," was conceptualised as an amalgamation of music and dance items that celebrated the mosaic of richness and diversity in Indian culture. Indeed, this provided a perfect counterbalance to the scientific rigour of the day and once more reiterated CPL Diagnostics' commitment to scientific excellence and community engagement in equal measure.

समुद्र में बढ़ी हलचलः श्रीलंका में भारत ने एक तो चीन ने तीन युद्धपोत किए तैनात

हिंद महासागर एक ऐसा क्षेत्र बन गया है जहां चीन और भारत अपना-अपना दबदबा कायम करना चाहते हैं। इस बीच एक हैरान कर देने वाली घटना घटी है। भारतीय नौसेना का पोत आईएनएस मुंबई श्रीलंका की तीन दिवसीय यात्रा पर सोमवार को कोलंबो बंदरगाह पहुंचा। संयोग से चीनी नौसेना के तीन युद्धपोत भी आज कोलंबो बंदरगाह पहुंचे।यानी श्रीलंका की राजधानी कोलंबो में एक ही दिन भारत और चीन के 4 वॉरशिप पहुंचे। जिसने हलचल पैदा कर दी है।

श्रीलंका नौसेना ने एक प्रेस विज्ञप्ति में कहा कि भारतीय नौसेना का जहाज 'मुंबई' श्रीलंका की तीन दिवसीय यात्रा पर है। इस बीच, श्रीलंका नौसेना ने कहा कि चीनी पीपुल्स लिबरेशन आर्मी की नौसेना के तीन युद्धपोत हे फेई, वुझिशान और किलियानशान भी सोमवार सुबह औपचारिक यात्रा पर कोलंबो बंदरगाह पहुंचे।

क्यों दोनों देश के युद्धपोत कोलंबो पहुंचे हैं
बता दें कि कोलंबो में श्रीलंका ने आईएन मुंबई का स्वागत किया, जिसकी कमान कैप्टन संदीप कुमार के हाथों में है और जिसमें 410 नाविकों का दल है। साथ ही कोलंबों ने चीनी युद्धपोतों का भी स्वागत किया। हे फेई 144.50 मीटर लंबा युद्धपोत है, जिस पर चालक दल के 267 सदस्य सवार हैं, जबकि वुझिशान 210 मीटर लंबा युद्धपोत है, जिस पर चालक दल के 872 सदस्य हैं वहीं किलियानशान 210 मीटर लंबा युद्धपोत है, जिसमें चालक दल के 334 सदस्य सवार हैं। आईएनएस मुंबई और चीनी युद्धपोतों को श्रीलंकाई युद्धपोतों के साथ अलग-अलग “पैसेज अभ्यास” करने का कार्यक्रम है, जो 29 अगस्त को ही होगा।
विज्ञप्ति के अनुसार आईएनएस मुंबई श्रीलंकाई नौसेना के साथ संयुक्त गतिविधियों जैसे खेल, योग और तटीय क्षेत्र की सफाई आदि में भी शामिल होगा। आईएनएस मुंबई 29 अगस्त को कोलंबो तट पर श्रीलंका नौसेना के एक जहाज के साथ 'पैसेज एक्सरसाइज' में भी भाग लेगा।

श्रीलंकाई द्वीप पर चीनी जहाज के रुकने को लेकर चिंतित भारत
द हिन्दू बिजनेसलाइन के मुताबिक दोनों देशों के वॉरशिप का एक ही दिन कोलंबो पोर्ट पर आना काफी अनोखा है। दरअसल भारत लंबे समय से श्रीलंकाई द्वीप पर चीनी जहाज के रुकने को लेकर चिंता जताता रहा है। पिछले साल भारत ने कहा था कि चीन अपने रिसर्च वैसल्स के जरिए भारत की जासूसी करने की कोशिश कर रहा है। इसके बाद श्रीलंका ने सितंबर 2023 में चीन के जहाजों को अपने देश में रुकने की इजाजत देने से इनकार कर दिया था। हालांकि कुछ महीने पहले श्रीलंका ने ये रोक हटा दी थी।

रिसर्च शिप के नाम पर चीन करता है जासूसी!
चीन के पास कई जासूसी जहाज हैं। वो भले ही कहता हो कि वो इन शिप का इस्तेमाल रिसर्च के लिए करता है, लेकिन इनमें पावरफुल मिलिट्री सर्विलांस सिस्टम होते हैं। जासूसी जहाजों को चीन की सेना ऑपरेट करती हैचीनी जासूसी जहाज पूरे प्रशांत, अटलांटिक और हिंद महासागर में काम करने में सक्षम हैं। मालदीव और श्रीलंकाई बंदरगाह पर पहुंचने वाले चीनी जहाजों की जद में आंध्रप्रदेश, केरल और तमिलनाडु के कई समुद्री तट आ जाते हैं।
अमेरिकी रक्षा विभाग की रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, इस शिप को चीन की पीपुल्स लिबरेशन आर्मी यानी पीएलए की स्ट्रैटेजिक सपोर्ट फोर्स यानी एसएसएफ ऑपरेट करती है। एसएसएफ थिएटर कमांड लेवल का ऑर्गेनाइजेशन है। यह पीएलए को स्पेस, साइबर, इलेक्ट्रॉनिक, इन्फॉर्मेशन, कम्युनिकेशन और साइकोलॉजिकल वारफेयर मिशन में मदद करती है।
चीन के जासूसी जहाज पावरफुल ट्रैकिंग शिप हैं। शिप में हाईटेक ईव्सड्रॉपिंग इक्विपमेंट (छिपकर सुनने वाले उपकरण) लगे हैं। इससे यह 1,000 किमी दूर हो रही बातचीत को सुन सकता है। मिसाइल ट्रैकिंग शिप में रडार और एंटीना से बना इलेक्ट्रॉनिक सिस्टम लगा होता है। ये सिस्टम अपनी रेंज में आने वाली मिसाइल को ट्रैक कर लेता है और उसकी जानकारी एयर डिफेंस सिस्टम को भेज देता है। यानी, एयर डिफेंस सिस्टम की रेंज में आने से पहले ही मिसाइल की जानकारी मिल जाती है और हमले को नाकाम किया जा सकता है।
