নবমীর দুপুরে বাংলাদেশে মালবাহী ট্রেনের সঙ্গে একটি যাত্রীবাহী ট্রেনের মুখোমুখি সংঘর্ষে এখন পর্যন্ত ২০ জনের মৃতদেহ উদ্ধার করা হয়েছে। বহু মৃত্যুর আশঙ্কা করা হচ্ছে। আরও বহু মানুষ জখম হয়েছেন। উদ্ধারকার্য চলছে।আশঙ্কা ট্রেনের নিচে এখনো অনেক দেহ চাপা পড়ে আছে।তাই হতাহতের সংখ্যা আরও বাড়তে পারে। 





জানা গেছে ঢাকা থেকে একটি মালবাহী ট্রেন ভৈরব স্টেশনে ঢুকছিল। ভৈরব থেকে এগারসিন্দুর ট্রেন ঢাকার দিকে রওনা হয়েছিল। জগন্নাথপুর রেল ক্রসিং এলাকায় এগারসিন্দুর ট্রেনের শেষের কয়েকটি বগিতে মালবাহী ট্রেনটি ধাক্কা মারে। সিগনালিং সমস্যার কারণে এই দুর্ঘটনা বলে অনুমান করছে বাংলাদেশ রেলওয়ে।

Economists say, the big door of Lakshmi profit in Bengal also opens in this Durga Puja. Both corporate houses and other medium or small domestic companies have invested at least Rs 50,000 crore behind Puja in the state.





The Chief Minister said that this year the Puja business could be worth about 60 thousand crore rupees. According to sources, at least 3 to 4 lakh people earn extra income on the occasion of Puja. In the era of e-commerce, only the delivery boy needs several thousand. 





Every year the expenses are increasing on the occasion of Puja. In 2019, the British Council said that 32 thousand 327 crore rupees were spent on the puja. Which is 2.6 percent of the state's GDP. It is believed that the number may exceed 5 lakhs if tourists from other countries come to Bengal for Puja.E-commerce is forecast to invest 12.15 percent more than last year. 



Says an economist, “I welcome the way the Durga Puja fleet has grown today. The marginal class people of Bengal are benefiting more.”

 KKNB : The International Cricket Council has expressed sadness at the passing of former India captain Bishan Singh Bedi at the age of 77.

In a statement, ICC Chief Executive Geoff Allardice extolled the qualities of spin legend Bedi, saying he was one of the masters of flight and turn who would be remembered for years to come.
“It’s sad to hear of the passing of Bishan Bedi. I would like to extend heartfelt condolences from everyone at the ICC to the family of one of the greats of the game and one whose exploits in Test cricket will be remembered for a long time.
“He was the kind of spinner who could excel in different conditions and would have been one of the greats in any era.” Mr. Allardice said.

Bedi, an ICC Cricket Hall of Famer, grabbed 266 wickets in 67 Tests between 1967 and 1979 with 14 five-wicket hauls. He also took seven wickets in 10 One Day Internationals, a format that was still in its infancy when he was playing international cricket.  

He also enjoyed huge success in first-class cricket, finishing with 1,560 wickets playing for various teams including Delhi and Northern Punjab in India and Northamptonshire in England.

Bedi also led India to six Test wins including in the West Indies and Australia.

 SB News bureau: Disappointing news for Indian cricket fans. Late legendary country spinner Bishen Singh Bedi. He died at the age of 77. He revolutionized spin bowling in the history of Indian cricket. 



He is called the best left-arm spinner in the country. Bedi was seriously ill a couple of years ago. Seber had returned to health. But on this day Indian cricket lost the legendary spinner.

প্রয়াত হলেন ভারতের প্রাক্তন টেস্ট দলের অধিনায়ক বিষেণ সিং বেদী। মৃত্যুকালে তাঁর বয়স হয়েছিল ৭৭ বছর।বছর দুয়েক আগে গুরুতর অসুস্থ হয়েছিলেন বেদী। সেবার সুস্থ হয়ে ফিরেছিলেন। কিন্তু এ দিন কিংবদন্তি স্পিনারকে হারাল ভারতীয় ক্রিকেট।

 

তার মৃত্যুর খবর নিশ্চিত করেন কেন্দ্রীয় ক্রীড়ামন্ত্রী অনুরাগ ঠাকুর।তিনি জানান, দেশের অন্যতম সেরা প্রাক্তন স্পিনার বিষেণ সিং বেদী আর নেই। আর এটা ভারতীয় ক্রিকেটের জন্য বিরাট একটা ক্ষতি।তার মৃত্যুতে শোকের ছায়া ভারতীয় ক্রিকেট মহলে। তার মৃত্যুতে শোকবার্তা এসেছে বিভিন্ন মহল থেকে।

বিষাণ সিং বেদি ২৫ সেপ্টেম্বর ১৯৪৬ সালে ভারতের অমৃতসরে জন্মগ্রহণ করেন। একজন অত্যন্ত দক্ষ বাঁ-হাতি অর্থোডক্স স্পিনার ছিলেন তিনি। তাঁর দুর্দান্ত বোলিং শৈলীর জন্য বিখ্যাত। তিনি ১৯৬৬ সালে তাঁর আন্তর্জাতিক ক্রিকেট যাত্রা শুরু করেন।তিনি অসংখ্য স্পিন বোলারের পরামর্শদাতা হিসেবে কাজ করেছেন এবং ভারতের তরুণ ক্রিকেট প্রতিভা তুলে আনতে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করেছেন।

 Carse approved as replacement for Topley in England squad 
 	
 KKNB : The Event Technical Committee of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 has approved Brydon Carse as a replacement for Reece Topley in the England squad.

Carse, who has played 12 ODIs, was named as a replacement as Topley was ruled out of the tournament after breaking his left index finger during England’s match against South Africa on Saturday.

The replacement of a player requires the approval of the Event Technical Committee before the replacement player can be officially added to the squad.

The Event Technical Committee of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 consists of Wasim Khan (ICC General Manager – Cricket and ETC Chair), Chris Tetley (ICC Head of Events), Hemang Amin (Acting CEO - BCCI), Gaurav Saxena (General Manager – Operations, BCCI), Russel Arnold and Simon Doull (Independent Representatives).

 SB News bureau: Kabaddi player accused of beating policeman to death. It is known that the player is internationally famous. The incident took place on Sunday night in Punjab's Barnala town. Trouble breaks out between kabaddi players and a restaurant staff at a place called 25 Acres in the city. After receiving the information, the police of City One police man reached the spot. After that, the police started arguing with the kabaddi players. From grumbling it turns into a fight. A kabaddi player allegedly started beating the policeman.
The policeman was seriously injured . Sources said,the policeman later died in the hospital.

Then the entire temple was built in less than two months.Santosh Mitra Square club secretary said, this time their puja budget was a little more than 2 crore rupees. The cost of construction of the original Ram temple in Ayodhya is around 900 crores. And the cost of building the replica of Ram temple in Kolkata is around 2 crore rupees.
