भारतीय क्रिकेट टीम ने टी20 वर्ल्ड कप जीतने के बाद अपने वतन पहुंच चुकी है। रोहित शर्मा के अगुवाई में वर्ल्ड चैंपियन्स गुरुवार सुबह नई दिल्ली पहुंचे।टीम इंडिया ने बारबाडोस में खेले गए फाइनल में साउथ अफ्रीका को 7 रन से हराकर टी20 वर्ल्ड कप 2024 का खिताब अपने नाम किया था। इस तरह 17 साल बाद टीम इंडिया इस फॉर्मेट में वर्ल्ड चैंपियन बनी। वहीं, भारत क्रिकेट के किसी भी फॉर्मेट में 13 साल बाद विश्व विजेता बना है। 

भारतीय टीम के स्वागत के लिए फैंस का जमावड़ा दिल्ली हवाईअड्डे के बाहर देखने को मिला। भारी संख्या में लोग रोहित शर्मा की सेना के स्वागत के लिए पहुंचे। भारतीय टीम एयरपोर्ट से आईटीसी मौर्या होटल रवाना हो गई। होटल पहुंचने पर भी टीम इंडिया का जोरदार स्वागत हुआ। वर्ल्ड चैंपियन टीम के खिलाड़ियों के लिए पहले से ही होटल में स्वागत का खास इंतजाम किया गया था। टीम होटल में तकरीबन 2 घंटे रुकेगी। इसके बाद सभी खिलाड़ी पीएमओ आवास जाएंगे।

11 बजे प्रधानमंत्री से मुलाकात करेंगे। इसके बाद रोहित शर्मा एंड कंपनी स्पेशल विमान से मुंबई के लिए रवाना होगी। यहां उनके सम्मान में विजय परेड का आयोजन होगा। इसके अलावा उन्होंने बताया कि वानखेड़े स्टेडियम में भारतीय टीम को बीसीसीआई की तरफ से घोषित 125 करोड़ की इनामी राशि भी दी जाएगी।

बता दें कि टीम ने शनिवार को फाइनल में दक्षिण अफ्रीका को सात रन से हराकर खिताब जीता था। इसके बाद से टीम वहीं अपने होटल में थी।फाइनल मुकाबला जीतने के बाद नियमित विमान से भारतीय टीम को वापस भारत रवाना होना था लेकिन बारबाडोस में चक्रवाती तूफ़ान की वजह से कर्फ्यू के हालात थे। सभी उड़ाने रद्द थी और खिलाडी व् स्टाफ अपने होटलों में फंसे हुए थे। जिसके बाद सरकार की तरफ से विशेष विमान बारबाडोस के लिए रवाना किया गया था।
