सालों पहले, सिमी ने कुछ समय के लिए रतन टाटा को डेट करने की बात कही थी, जब वह बॉलीवुड में सक्रिय थीं। अभिनेता ने कहा कि वे अलग हो गए, लेकिन बहुत करीबी दोस्त बने रहे। 2011 में टाइम्स ऑफ इंडिया के साथ एक साक्षात्कार में, सिमी ने कहा था, "रतन और मेरा एक लंबा रिश्ता है। वह परिपूर्ण हैं, उनमें हास्य की भावना है, वह विनम्र हैं और एक आदर्श सज्जन व्यक्ति हैं। पैसा कभी भी उनकी प्रेरणा शक्ति नहीं रहा। वह भारत में उतने सहज नहीं हैं, जितने विदेश में हैं।" 



अपने टॉक शो के दौरान ली गयी उनकी तस्वीरों का एक कोलाज बनाकर उन्होंने अपने ट्विटर पर साझा किया, फैंस इसे देखकर और ग़मगीन हो गए है। लोगों का कहना है की सिमी से अलग होने बाद रतन टाटा ने कभी शादी नहीं करने का फैसला लिया था।

लुधियाना में एक सेना अधिकारी के घर जन्मी सिमी ग्रेवाल ने 1962 में एक अंग्रेजी फिल्म से अभिनय की शुरुआत की। बाद में उन्होंने बॉलीवुड और बंगाली सिनेमा में कदम रखा और दो बदन, मेरा नाम जोकर, अरण्येर दिन रात्रि, सिद्धार्थ और कर्ज जैसी प्रमुख फिल्मों में काम किया। दर्शकों की एक नई पीढ़ी ने उन्हें 90 के दशक और 2000 के दशक की शुरुआत में सिमी ग्रेवाल के साथ उनके टॉक शो रेंडेज़वस के होस्ट के रूप में देखा।



नमक से लेकर सॉफ्टवेयर बनाने वाले समूह के दो दशक से भी ज़्यादा समय तक चेयरमैन रहे रतन टाटा ने बुधवार रात 11.30 बजे दक्षिण मुंबई के ब्रीच कैंडी अस्पताल में अंतिम सांस ली। पद्म विभूषण से सम्मानित टाटा सोमवार से ही अस्पताल में गहन चिकित्सा कक्ष में थे।

ISL 2024-25 Media Day: “Trophies in the past don’t matter; you are only as good as your last game”, says NorthEast United FC head coach Juan Pedro Benali





KKNB: The Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 Media Day began in Kolkata with representatives from seven clubs, i.e. Mohun Bagan Super Giant, East Bengal FC, Mohammedan SC, Odisha FC, Jamshedpur FC, Punjab FC and NorthEast United FC previewing the upcoming season.

The event saw a blend of new and familiar faces, with Mohun Bagan's Jose Molina and Punjab FC's Panagiotis Dilmperis making their ISL debuts as head coaches, while veterans like Sergio Lobera, Khalid Jamil, Juan Pedro Benali, and Carles Cuadrat discussed their strategies for the campaign.

The discussions, however, began with the newly-promoted Mohammedan SC head coach Andrey Chernyshov expressing his pleasure at joining the ISL, with his captain Samad Ali Mallick underlining their ambitions to challenge for the playoffs straightaway.

“It’s a nice feeling to be a part of the ISL family. We did a great job last year by winning the I-League. I am thrilled about our supporters. They had been expecting this for many years. I can’t wait to get started with the league,” Chernyshov said.

The two other Kolkata heavyweights are on their desired track ahead of the coming ISL campaign. Whilst the Mariners embark on the coveted title defence, East Bengal FC are bolstered by solid reinforcements to their squad in the summer.

“It’s a process to prepare the team for the ISL. We have been working together for a month and there are still a few things to improve upon. We are confident in our players and the way we have trained until now,” Jose Molina said.

East Bengal FC tactician Cuadrat overlooked comparisons from their sluggish start last year to insist confidently that his team will hit the ground running from their opening fixture this time around.

“It’s a different season with different players, and hence I wouldn’t like to compare to the last campaign, because every team is in a different situation as they were last time around. We have the complete squad with us and we will have to be competitive from day one,” Cuadrat said.

 Lobera eyes ISL title with Odisha FC 

Odisha FC, who finished fourth last season, are basking on their storied run across multiple competitions in 2023-24 to produce similarly impressive outings this year too.

“It’s been six years in India for me now. We had an amazing season last year, finishing at the top of the group in the AFC Cup. We were close to winning the Super Cup and we reached the ISL semi-finals for the first time in the club’s history. It was an amazing run and we want to replicate that this year to put a smile on the faces of the fans,” Lobera said.



 Challengers for the playoffs spots 

The trio of Punjab FC, NorthEast United, and Jamshedpur FC had ignited an exciting late challenge for the playoffs last season, falling short at the final hurdle. Since then, the Highlanders have gone from strength to strength, winning the club’s first trophy with the Durand Cup last month.

“We are now starting to realise with what we did in the Durand Cup! But, now, we look forward to the ISL and there’s another story that’s waiting for us in the coming season. Trophies in the past don’t make you play better. You are only as good as your last game,” Benali mentioned.

Jamshedpur FC’s Khalid Jamil praised the ISL for bringing in new rules, such as the introduction of the concussion substitute, mandating an AFC Pro License holding (or equivalent) Indian assistant coach, amongst others. Considering that he is one of the two Indian head coaches in the ISL along with Thangboi Singto of Hyderabad FC, Jamil said, “These new rules will help in the development of Indian football. We shall study it in detail and see how they could help us benefit during the course of the season as well.”

For Punjab FC, they have a new coach at helm in Greek tactician Panagiotis Dilmperis. The team has made some smart acquisitions in the transfer window and Dimperis expressed satisfaction at the same, whereas skipper Luka Majcen stressed upon the importance of a positive start.

“I am really lucky with all the players we have got in the Punjab FC roster. They are all great personalities and our aim is to achieve greater heights than we did last year,” Dimperis said.

এসবি নিউজ ব্যুরো:পশ্চিমবঙ্গ বিধানসভায় ঐতিহাসিক অপরাজিতা নারী ও শিশু বিল, যেখানে ধর্ষণের জন্য মৃত্যুদণ্ড-সহ কঠোরতম শাস্তির প্রস্তাব করা হয়েছে, পাস হওয়ার একদিন পরেই এনসিপি (এসপি) প্রধান শরদ পাওয়ার মহারাষ্ট্রেও একইরকম একটি বিল আনার ইচ্ছা প্রকাশ করেছেন। সর্বভারতীয় তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস শরদ পাওয়ারের এই সিদ্ধান্তকে স্বাগত জানিয়ে বলেছে যে, ধর্ষণের বিরুদ্ধে আন্দোলনকে আরও শক্তিশালী করতে এই পদক্ষেপ গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।

এই পদক্ষেপটি এই সত্যেরও প্রমাণ যে, সংস্কারের ক্ষেত্রে বাংলা সর্বদা অগ্রণী ভূমিকা পালন করেছে। এটি বাংলা-বিরোধী শক্তিগুলোর জন্যও উপযুক্ত জবাব, যারা দীর্ঘদিন ধরে দিল্লির জমিদারদের নির্দেশে বাংলার ভাবমূর্তি নষ্ট করার সর্বাত্মক চেষ্টা করে আসছে।

অপরাজিতা মহিলা ও শিশু (পশ্চিমবঙ্গ অপরাধ আইন সংশোধনী) বিল, ২০২৪ - যা সর্বসম্মতিক্রমে পাস হয়েছে - তাতে তিনটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ উপাদান রয়েছে:

 অপরাধীর জন্য কঠোর শাস্তি,
 দ্রুত তদন্ত, এবং
* দ্রুত ন্যায়বিচারের ব্যবস্থা।

বিএনএসের অধীনে যৌন হেনস্তার মামলাগুলি ছাড়াও, বিলটি পকসো আইনের অধীনে দায়ের করা মামলাগুলোকেও লক্ষ্য করেছে।

এছাড়াও, ধর্ষণ-বিরোধী বিলটি রাজ্যের প্রতিটি জেলায় ‘অপরাজিতা টাস্ক ফোর্স’ গঠনেরও ব্যবস্থা করেছে।

সর্বভারতীয় তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস নিজেদের এক্স হ্যান্ডেলে লিখেছে , "What Bengal thinks today, India thinks tomorrow! Under the leadership of Smt. GoWB is taking decisive action to ensure that women can live without fear. The Aparajita Anti-Rape Bill has prompted a leader of stature to call for a similar legislation in Maharashtra!" 

"গতকাল, রাজ্যের বিধানসভায় যে ঐতিহাসিক বিলটি পাশ করা হয়েছে তাতে ধর্ষণের দোষীদের কঠোরতম শাস্তির কথা বলা হয়েছে। এটিকে উদাহরণ হিসাবে গ্রহণ করে, অন্যান্য রাজ্যগুলিও এই ঐতিহাসিক পদক্ষেপটি বাস্তবায়নের পরিকল্পনা করছে। উদাহরণস্বরূপ, এনসিপি (এসপি) প্রধান শরদ পওয়ার মহারাষ্ট্রেও একইরকম একটি বিল আনার ইচ্ছা প্রকাশ করেছেন। বাংলার এই উল্লেখযোগ্য পদক্ষেপটি মহিলাদের সুরক্ষা নিশ্চিত করার জন্য একটি নতুন পথ দেখিয়েছে, " রাজ্যের অর্থমন্ত্রী চন্দ্রিমা ভট্টাচার্য বলেছেন৷

"BENGAL SHOWS THE WAY. Now, Shri Sharad Pawar has pitched for West Bengal-like anti-rape bill in Maharashtra."

"মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় অপরাজিতা বিলের মাধ্যমে ইতিহাস তৈরি করেছেন। এটি শুধুমাত্র মৃত্যুদণ্ড নিশ্চিত করে না, বরং ধর্ষণের দোষীদের জন্য কঠোর শাস্তিরও আহ্বান জানায়। এটি মহিলাদের নিরাপত্তা ও সুরক্ষা জোরদার করবে। এনসিপি (এসপি) প্রধান শরদ পওয়ার এই বিলটিকে শুধু স্বাগত জানাননি, বরং এই বিলটিকে তিনি একটি 'মডেল' হিসাবেও অভিহিত করে বলেছেন যে এটা সারা দেশে বাস্তবায়ন করা উচিত। উনি বলেছেন যে মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় এই বিলের দ্বারা একটি নজির স্থাপন করেছেন। বাংলা আজ যা ভাবে, ভারতবর্ষ আগামীকাল তাই ভাবে এবং ভাবতে হবে" তৃণমূল মুখপাত্র কুণাল ঘোষ বলেছেন।

বুধবার রাজ্য বিধানসভায় ভাষণ দেওয়ার সময় পশ্চিমবঙ্গের মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় বলেন, "ধর্ষণ এখন জাতীয় লজ্জার বিষয় হয়ে দাঁড়িয়েছে। আসুন আমরা সবাই একত্রে এই সমস্যার মোকাবিলা করি। এই সমস্যার সমাধানে সমাজ সংস্কার ও মানুষের জাগরণের প্রয়োজন। অতীতেও পশ্চিমবঙ্গ এমন সংস্কার নেতৃত্ব দিয়েছে। রোগ থাকলে, তার চিকিৎসা হওয়া উচিত।"

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী আরও বলেন, "দেশে ধর্ষণের জন্য বর্তমান শাস্তি যথেষ্ট নয় – কেন ধর্ষকরা এমন কাজ করার সাহস পাচ্ছে? আমাদের এ বিষয়ে ভাবতে হবে। ২০২২ সালের ক্রাইম ইন ইন্ডিয়া-তে প্রকাশিত ডেটা অনুযায়ী, দেশে ধর্ষণ সংক্রান্ত মামলায় ৭৬% ক্ষেত্রে তদন্ত শেষ করে পুলিশ চার্জশিট জমা দিতে পেরেছে, কিন্তু মাত্র ২.৫৬% ক্ষেত্রে অভিযুক্তকে দোষী প্রমাণ করা হয়েছে। এই সমস্যাটি মোকাবিলা করতে হবে।"

এর আগে, সর্বভারতীয় তৃণমূল কংগ্রেসের সাধারণ সম্পাদক এবং ডায়মন্ড হারবারের সাংসদ অভিষেক বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় ধর্ষণের বিরুদ্ধে একটি সর্বাঙ্গীণ আইন প্রণয়নের দাবি জানিয়েছেন, যা সময়সীমার মধ্যে অপরাধীদের জন্য কঠোর শাস্তি নিশ্চিত করবে।

"Given the harrowing statistic of a RAPE EVERY 15 MINUTES, the demand for a COMPREHENSIVE TIME-BOUND ANTI-RAPE LAW is more pressing than ever. BENGAL is leading the charge with its ANTI-RAPE BILL. The Union must now take decisive action - whether by ordinance or BNSS amendment in the upcoming parliament session to ensure that justice is both swift and severe, with TRIALS AND CONVICTIONS concluded in 50 DAYS," উনি নিজের এক্স হ্যান্ডেলে লিখেছেন।

रायपुर-   भारत निर्वाचन आयोग, नई दिल्ली द्वारा छत्तीसगढ़ प्रदेश के नागरिकों का मतदाता सूची में नाम पंजीयन, विलोपन, स्थानातंरण एवं प्रविष्टि में किसी भी प्रकार के आवश्यक संशोधन हेतु फोटोयुक्त निर्वाचक नामावलियों का वार्षिक विशेष संक्षिप्त पुनरीक्षण कार्यक्रम अर्हता तिथि 01 जनवरी 2025 जारी कर दिया गया है।
  
आयोग द्वारा जारी कार्यक्रम के अनुसार दिनांक 29 अक्टूबर, 2024 (मंगलवार) को प्रदेश के सभी मतदान केन्द्रों में मतदाता सूची का प्रारंभिक प्रकाशन किया जावेगा और इसी के साथ दावा/आपत्ति प्राप्त करने की कार्यवाही प्रारंभ हो जावेगी। सभी नागरिक दिनांक 28 नवम्बर, 2024 (गुरुवार) तक दावा/आपत्ति प्रस्तुत कर सकते हैं। इस दौरान दिनांक 09 नवम्बर 2024 (शनिवार), 10 नवम्बर 2024 (रविवार) एवं 16 नवम्बर 2024 (शनिवार), 17 नवम्बर 2024 (रविवार) को समस्त मतदान केन्द्रों में विशेष शिविर का भी आयोजन किया जावेगा।
  
इस अवधि में प्राप्त सभी दावा-आपत्तियों का निराकरण पूर्ण कर दिनाँक 06 जनवरी, 2025 (सोमवार) को निर्वाचक नामावली का अन्तिम प्रकाशन किया जायेगा। आयोग के निर्देशानुसार प्रारंभिक प्रकाशन दिनांक 29 अक्टूबर, 2024 (मंगलवार) एवं अंतिम प्रकाशन दिनांक 06 जनवरी, 2025 (सोमवार) को सभी मतदान केन्द्रों की मतदाता सूची का प्रकाशन कार्यालय के वेबसाईट https://ceochhattisgarh.nic.in पर भी किया जावेगा ।
  
भारत निर्वाचन आयोग के निर्देशानुसार राज्य अंतर्गत सभी बूथ लेवल अधिकारियों के द्वारा दिनांक 20 अगस्त, 2024 से 18 अक्टूबर, 2024 तक H2H Survey (घर-घर सत्यापन) की कार्यवाही पूर्ण की जावेगी तथा Shiffed/मृत मतदाताओं हेतु आवश्यकतानुसार फार्म-8/ फार्म-7 भरने की कार्यवाही पूर्ण की जावेगी ।
  
इसके अलावा DSE (Demographically Similar Entries) के माध्यम से डुप्लीकेट मतदाताओं के लिये फार्म-7 भरने की कार्यवाही भी घर-घर सर्वे के दौरान की जावेगी ।
  
ऐसे युवा नागरिक, जो दिनाँक 01 जनवरी 2025 की स्थिति में 18 वर्ष की आयु पूर्ण कर रहे है, वे प्ररूप-6 में आवेदन प्रस्तुत कर अपना नाम मतदाता सूची में जुड़वा सकते है। इस दौरान मृत, स्थायी रूप से स्थानांतरित मतदाताओं के नाम विलोपन हेतु प्ररूप-7 में आवेदन प्राप्त किया जावेगा तथा त्रुटिपूर्ण नामों के सुधार, अन्य आवश्यक संशोधन एवं किसी भी प्रकार के स्थानातंरण हेतु प्ररूप 8 में आवेदन प्राप्त किया जावेगा। भारत निर्वाचन आयोग, नई दिल्ली के निर्देशानुसार दिनांक 01 जनवरी के अतिरिक्त दिनांक 01 अप्रैल, 01 जुलाई एवं 01 अक्टूबर, 2025 की स्थिति में भी 18 वर्ष की आयु पूर्ण करने वाले युवा नागरिक निर्धारित प्ररूप 6 में अपना नाम मतदाता सूची में सम्मिलित कराने हेतु अग्रिम आवेदन कर सकेंगे ।
  
आवेदन करने हेतु आम नागरिक अपने मतदान केन्द्र में बूथ लेवल अधिकारी के माध्यम से निर्धारित फार्म प्राप्त कर सकते हैं। भारत निर्वाचन आयोग, नई दिल्ली द्वारा नागरिकों के लिये ‘वोटर हेल्पलाइन एप के माध्यम से भी ऑनलाइन आवेदन करने की सुविधा प्रदान की गई है। यह एप्लीकेशन एन्ड्रायड एवं iOS दोनों प्लेटफार्म्स पर डाउनलोड हेतु उपलब्ध है। इसके अतिरिक्त मतदाता अपना नाम जोडने, संशोधन हेतु वेबसाइट ttps://voters-eci.gov.in के माध्यम से भी ऑनलाइन आवेदन कर सकते है।

The 7th Foundation Day of CPL Diagnostics Pvt. Ltd., a forerunner in laboratory diagnostics, was celebrated with much fanfare on Sunday, August 18th, 2024, at the Utsav Mancha Auditorium in Kankurgachi, Kolkata. It is indeed a turning point in the company's journey, reflecting its doctrine of excellence in healthcare with an eclectic mix of scientific sessions and vibrant cultural performances.
The "Marking Milestones of Excellence" program was inaugurated at 2:30 PM with a scintillating cultural dance performance by Ms. Deeksha Gupta, which set the very tone of celebrations for the day. Dr Tarun Roy, MD, DNB, Consultant Pathologist, CPL Diagnostics Pvt. Ltd. welcomed the audience, including doctors and business associates, as he went down memory lane on the company's seven-year journey and its achievements.

After the welcome address, Dr M.M. Ghatak, MD, Founder and Director of the Medical Rehabilitation Centre, Kolkata, delivered the keynote speech. Indeed, this provided a perfect counterbalance to the scientific rigour of the day and once more reiterated CPL Diagnostics' commitment to scientific excellence and community engagement in equal measure.

June 6. It's a date that has been echoing in the realm of Indian football for the past couple of months. The defeat to Afghanistan in Guwahati in March converted this date into practically a do-or-die occasion for India. And the echoes were further amplified when Sunil Chhetri, exactly three weeks before the D-Day, announced that it would also be his R-Day — R for Retirement. After 19 years of unmatchable service to his great nation, the Indian skipper will hang his boots at the Salt Lake, amid more than 60 thousand people, who will witness the legend's last kick of the ball for India.
  

  
But Chhetri was the quickest to point out during Wednesday's pre-match press conference that the match should not be about him, but the potentially ground-breaking result awaiting Indian football.
  

  
"I'm trying really hard not to think about the game emotionally. It's not about me. I would love to win 1-0, I don't care who scores. The last 15 days have been good. I think we're on the same page in terms of fitness and that's a good headache for the coach to have," said Chhetri.
  

  
India head coach Igor Stimac also concurred with his skipper's words. The most significant thing about tomorrow will be the victory. The fact that it's Chhetri's last 90 minutes for the nation adds to the prestige of the fixture.
  

  
"Knowing that this is the last game of our captain for the national team makes this occasion much, much bigger. But of course, this is still about India winning against Kuwait. We are focussed on what we need to do. I will put it in a few words - we are ready for it," said Stimac.
  

  
India and Kuwait have met thrice in the last 12 months, twice in the SAFF Championship (1-1 in the group stage and a penalty shoot-out win for India in the final), before the Blue Tigers triumphed 1-0 in the World Cup Qualifiers in November.
  

  
"We had three tight, tough games against Kuwait," said Stimac. "Either team could've won them. I would say our best game was away in Kuwait in these qualifiers because that was perfect defensive shape, not allowing them to get near our box and create clear chances. That's what we need to repeat tomorrow, with our discipline, focus, tight marking, reaching the opposition goal and scoring the goal because that's what we need."
  

  
Scoring goals from open play has been an Achilles heel for India, who have failed to score in five of the last six matches apart from Chhetri's penalty against Afghanistan in Guwahati. In fact, India's last open-play goal came against Kuwait from Manvir Singh's left foot. But with every passing training session with goal nets bulging non-stop from finishing drills, Stimac gains more and more confidence.
  

  
"The boys have worked tremendously hard on details and for everything that is needed for this game. We're going to be absolutely ready for each scenario which awaits us," he said.
  

  
As far as India's opponents are concerned, after the end of their domestic season in the last week of May, Kuwait held a one-week camp in Bangkok before travelling to Kolkata on Tuesday night. Their Portuguese head coach Rui Bento named a 26-man squad composed entirely of players from the Kuwait Premier League.
  

  
"We expect a good game tomorrow. We know that both teams have competitive targets and the same goal. We've had a good environment in our training. We believe that more than the one week of camp in Thailand, it's about the one and a half year of us being together as a team," said Bento.
  

  
The former Portugal youth international coach believed Kuwait, ranked 139th in the world, are now in a better place than last year and can put up a better challenge against India on Thursday as compared to the last three meetings. However, the West Asians are also wary that a defeat will condemn them to the bottom two in the group and officially eliminate them from World Cup qualifying.
  

  
"Yes, we played three games against India last year. They were all very balanced and the teams were at a similar level. But all those matches are history. Football is always an ongoing process, and we are proud and confident of ourselves. The much-awaited Physical Disability Triangular T20 Trophy 2024 is set to begin on 15th March, 2024 organised by Differently Abled Cricket Council of India which was formally announced today. The trophy was revealed for the same at Taj Bengal, Kolkata.

ISL 2024-25 Media Day: “Trophies in the past don’t matter; you are only as good as your last game”, says NorthEast United FC head coach Juan Pedro Benali





KKNB: The Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25 Media Day began in Kolkata with representatives from seven clubs, i.e. Mohun Bagan Super Giant, East Bengal FC, Mohammedan SC, Odisha FC, Jamshedpur FC, Punjab FC and NorthEast United FC previewing the upcoming season.

The event saw a blend of new and familiar faces, with Mohun Bagan's Jose Molina and Punjab FC's Panagiotis Dilmperis making their ISL debuts as head coaches, while veterans like Sergio Lobera, Khalid Jamil, Juan Pedro Benali, and Carles Cuadrat discussed their strategies for the campaign.

The discussions, however, began with the newly-promoted Mohammedan SC head coach Andrey Chernyshov expressing his pleasure at joining the ISL, with his captain Samad Ali Mallick underlining their ambitions to challenge for the playoffs straightaway.

“It’s a nice feeling to be a part of the ISL family. We did a great job last year by winning the I-League. I am thrilled about our supporters. They had been expecting this for many years. I can’t wait to get started with the league,” Chernyshov said.

The two other Kolkata heavyweights are on their desired track ahead of the coming ISL campaign. Whilst the Mariners embark on the coveted title defence, East Bengal FC are bolstered by solid reinforcements to their squad in the summer.

“It’s a process to prepare the team for the ISL. We have been working together for a month and there are still a few things to improve upon. We are confident in our players and the way we have trained until now,” Jose Molina said.

East Bengal FC tactician Cuadrat overlooked comparisons from their sluggish start last year to insist confidently that his team will hit the ground running from their opening fixture this time around.

“It’s a different season with different players, and hence I wouldn’t like to compare to the last campaign, because every team is in a different situation as they were last time around. We have the complete squad with us and we will have to be competitive from day one,” Cuadrat said.

 Lobera eyes ISL title with Odisha FC 

Odisha FC, who finished fourth last season, are basking on their storied run across multiple competitions in 2023-24 to produce similarly impressive outings this year too.

“It’s been six years in India for me now. We had an amazing season last year, finishing at the top of the group in the AFC Cup. We were close to winning the Super Cup and we reached the ISL semi-finals for the first time in the club’s history. It was an amazing run and we want to replicate that this year to put a smile on the faces of the fans,” Lobera said.



 Challengers for the playoffs spots 

The trio of Punjab FC, NorthEast United, and Jamshedpur FC had ignited an exciting late challenge for the playoffs last season, falling short at the final hurdle. Since then, the Highlanders have gone from strength to strength, winning the club’s first trophy with the Durand Cup last month.

“We are now starting to realise with what we did in the Durand Cup! But, now, we look forward to the ISL and there’s another story that’s waiting for us in the coming season. Trophies in the past don’t make you play better. You are only as good as your last game,” Benali mentioned.

Jamshedpur FC’s Khalid Jamil praised the ISL for bringing in new rules, such as the introduction of the concussion substitute, mandating an AFC Pro License holding (or equivalent) Indian assistant coach, amongst others. Considering that he is one of the two Indian head coaches in the ISL along with Thangboi Singto of Hyderabad FC, Jamil said, “These new rules will help in the development of Indian football. We shall study it in detail and see how they could help us benefit during the course of the season as well.”

For Punjab FC, they have a new coach at helm in Greek tactician Panagiotis Dilmperis. The team has made some smart acquisitions in the transfer window and Dimperis expressed satisfaction at the same, whereas skipper Luka Majcen stressed upon the importance of a positive start.

“I am really lucky with all the players we have got in the Punjab FC roster. They are all great personalities and our aim is to achieve greater heights than we did last year,” Dimperis said.

এসবি নিউজ ব্যুরো:পশ্চিমবঙ্গ বিধানসভায় ঐতিহাসিক অপরাজিতা নারী ও শিশু বিল, যেখানে ধর্ষণের জন্য মৃত্যুদণ্ড-সহ কঠোরতম শাস্তির প্রস্তাব করা হয়েছে, পাস হওয়ার একদিন পরেই এনসিপি (এসপি) প্রধান শরদ পাওয়ার মহারাষ্ট্রেও একইরকম একটি বিল আনার ইচ্ছা প্রকাশ করেছেন। সর্বভারতীয় তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস শরদ পাওয়ারের এই সিদ্ধান্তকে স্বাগত জানিয়ে বলেছে যে, ধর্ষণের বিরুদ্ধে আন্দোলনকে আরও শক্তিশালী করতে এই পদক্ষেপ গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।

এই পদক্ষেপটি এই সত্যেরও প্রমাণ যে, সংস্কারের ক্ষেত্রে বাংলা সর্বদা অগ্রণী ভূমিকা পালন করেছে। এটি বাংলা-বিরোধী শক্তিগুলোর জন্যও উপযুক্ত জবাব, যারা দীর্ঘদিন ধরে দিল্লির জমিদারদের নির্দেশে বাংলার ভাবমূর্তি নষ্ট করার সর্বাত্মক চেষ্টা করে আসছে।

অপরাজিতা মহিলা ও শিশু (পশ্চিমবঙ্গ অপরাধ আইন সংশোধনী) বিল, ২০২৪ - যা সর্বসম্মতিক্রমে পাস হয়েছে - তাতে তিনটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ উপাদান রয়েছে:

 অপরাধীর জন্য কঠোর শাস্তি,
 দ্রুত তদন্ত, এবং
* দ্রুত ন্যায়বিচারের ব্যবস্থা।

বিএনএসের অধীনে যৌন হেনস্তার মামলাগুলি ছাড়াও, বিলটি পকসো আইনের অধীনে দায়ের করা মামলাগুলোকেও লক্ষ্য করেছে।

এছাড়াও, ধর্ষণ-বিরোধী বিলটি রাজ্যের প্রতিটি জেলায় ‘অপরাজিতা টাস্ক ফোর্স’ গঠনেরও ব্যবস্থা করেছে।

সর্বভারতীয় তৃণমূল কংগ্রেস নিজেদের এক্স হ্যান্ডেলে লিখেছে , "What Bengal thinks today, India thinks tomorrow! Under the leadership of Smt. GoWB is taking decisive action to ensure that women can live without fear. The Aparajita Anti-Rape Bill has prompted a leader of stature to call for a similar legislation in Maharashtra!"

"মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় অপরাজিতা বিলের মাধ্যমে ইতিহাস তৈরি করেছেন। এটি শুধুমাত্র মৃত্যুদণ্ড নিশ্চিত করে না, বরং ধর্ষণের দোষীদের জন্য কঠোর শাস্তিরও আহ্বান জানায়। এটি মহিলাদের নিরাপত্তা ও সুরক্ষা জোরদার করবে। এনসিপি (এসপি) প্রধান শরদ পওয়ার এই বিলটিকে শুধু স্বাগত জানাননি, বরং এই বিলটিকে তিনি একটি 'মডেল' হিসাবেও অভিহিত করে বলেছেন যে এটা সারা দেশে বাস্তবায়ন করা উচিত। উনি বলেছেন যে মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় এই বিলের দ্বারা একটি নজির স্থাপন করেছেন। বাংলা আজ যা ভাবে, ভারতবর্ষ আগামীকাল তাই ভাবে এবং ভাবতে হবে" তৃণমূল মুখপাত্র কুণাল ঘোষ বলেছেন।

বুধবার রাজ্য বিধানসভায় ভাষণ দেওয়ার সময় পশ্চিমবঙ্গের মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় বলেন, "ধর্ষণ এখন জাতীয় লজ্জার বিষয় হয়ে দাঁড়িয়েছে। আসুন আমরা সবাই একত্রে এই সমস্যার মোকাবিলা করি। এই সমস্যার সমাধানে সমাজ সংস্কার ও মানুষের জাগরণের প্রয়োজন। অতীতেও পশ্চিমবঙ্গ এমন সংস্কার নেতৃত্ব দিয়েছে। রোগ থাকলে, তার চিকিৎসা হওয়া উচিত।"

মুখ্যমন্ত্রী আরও বলেন, "দেশে ধর্ষণের জন্য বর্তমান শাস্তি যথেষ্ট নয় – কেন ধর্ষকরা এমন কাজ করার সাহস পাচ্ছে? আমাদের এ বিষয়ে ভাবতে হবে। ২০২২ সালের ক্রাইম ইন ইন্ডিয়া-তে প্রকাশিত ডেটা অনুযায়ী, দেশে ধর্ষণ সংক্রান্ত মামলায় ৭৬% ক্ষেত্রে তদন্ত শেষ করে পুলিশ চার্জশিট জমা দিতে পেরেছে, কিন্তু মাত্র ২.৫৬% ক্ষেত্রে অভিযুক্তকে দোষী প্রমাণ করা হয়েছে। এই সমস্যাটি মোকাবিলা করতে হবে।"

"Given the harrowing statistic of a RAPE EVERY 15 MINUTES, the demand for a COMPREHENSIVE TIME-BOUND ANTI-RAPE LAW is more pressing than ever. BENGAL is leading the charge with its ANTI-RAPE BILL. The Union must now take decisive action - whether by ordinance or BNSS amendment in the upcoming parliament session to ensure that justice is both swift and severe, with TRIALS AND CONVICTIONS concluded in 50 DAYS," উনি নিজের এক্স হ্যান্ডেলে লিখেছেন।

रायपुर-   भारत निर्वाचन आयोग, नई दिल्ली द्वारा छत्तीसगढ़ प्रदेश के नागरिकों का मतदाता सूची में नाम पंजीयन, विलोपन, स्थानातंरण एवं प्रविष्टि में किसी भी प्रकार के आवश्यक संशोधन हेतु फोटोयुक्त निर्वाचक नामावलियों का वार्षिक विशेष संक्षिप्त पुनरीक्षण कार्यक्रम अर्हता तिथि 01 जनवरी 2025 जारी कर दिया गया है।
  
आयोग द्वारा जारी कार्यक्रम के अनुसार दिनांक 29 अक्टूबर, 2024 (मंगलवार) को प्रदेश के सभी मतदान केन्द्रों में मतदाता सूची का प्रारंभिक प्रकाशन किया जावेगा और इसी के साथ दावा/आपत्ति प्राप्त करने की कार्यवाही प्रारंभ हो जावेगी। सभी नागरिक दिनांक 28 नवम्बर, 2024 (गुरुवार) तक दावा/आपत्ति प्रस्तुत कर सकते हैं। इस दौरान दिनांक 09 नवम्बर 2024 (शनिवार), 10 नवम्बर 2024 (रविवार) एवं 16 नवम्बर 2024 (शनिवार), 17 नवम्बर 2024 (रविवार) को समस्त मतदान केन्द्रों में विशेष शिविर का भी आयोजन किया जावेगा।
  
इस अवधि में प्राप्त सभी दावा-आपत्तियों का निराकरण पूर्ण कर दिनाँक 06 जनवरी, 2025 (सोमवार) को निर्वाचक नामावली का अन्तिम प्रकाशन किया जायेगा। आयोग के निर्देशानुसार प्रारंभिक प्रकाशन दिनांक 29 अक्टूबर, 2024 (मंगलवार) एवं अंतिम प्रकाशन दिनांक 06 जनवरी, 2025 (सोमवार) को सभी मतदान केन्द्रों की मतदाता सूची का प्रकाशन कार्यालय के वेबसाईट https://ceochhattisgarh.nic.in पर भी किया जावेगा ।
  
भारत निर्वाचन आयोग के निर्देशानुसार राज्य अंतर्गत सभी बूथ लेवल अधिकारियों के द्वारा दिनांक 20 अगस्त, 2024 से 18 अक्टूबर, 2024 तक H2H Survey (घर-घर सत्यापन) की कार्यवाही पूर्ण की जावेगी तथा Shiffed/मृत मतदाताओं हेतु आवश्यकतानुसार फार्म-8/ फार्म-7 भरने की कार्यवाही पूर्ण की जावेगी ।
  
इसके अलावा DSE (Demographically Similar Entries) के माध्यम से डुप्लीकेट मतदाताओं के लिये फार्म-7 भरने की कार्यवाही भी घर-घर सर्वे के दौरान की जावेगी ।
  
ऐसे युवा नागरिक, जो दिनाँक 01 जनवरी 2025 की स्थिति में 18 वर्ष की आयु पूर्ण कर रहे है, वे प्ररूप-6 में आवेदन प्रस्तुत कर अपना नाम मतदाता सूची में जुड़वा सकते है। इस दौरान मृत, स्थायी रूप से स्थानांतरित मतदाताओं के नाम विलोपन हेतु प्ररूप-7 में आवेदन प्राप्त किया जावेगा तथा त्रुटिपूर्ण नामों के सुधार, अन्य आवश्यक संशोधन एवं किसी भी प्रकार के स्थानातंरण हेतु प्ररूप 8 में आवेदन प्राप्त किया जावेगा। भारत निर्वाचन आयोग, नई दिल्ली के निर्देशानुसार दिनांक 01 जनवरी के अतिरिक्त दिनांक 01 अप्रैल, 01 जुलाई एवं 01 अक्टूबर, 2025 की स्थिति में भी 18 वर्ष की आयु पूर्ण करने वाले युवा नागरिक निर्धारित प्ररूप 6 में अपना नाम मतदाता सूची में सम्मिलित कराने हेतु अग्रिम आवेदन कर सकेंगे ।
  
आवेदन करने हेतु आम नागरिक अपने मतदान केन्द्र में बूथ लेवल अधिकारी के माध्यम से निर्धारित फार्म प्राप्त कर सकते हैं। भारत निर्वाचन आयोग, नई दिल्ली द्वारा नागरिकों के लिये ‘वोटर हेल्पलाइन एप के माध्यम से भी ऑनलाइन आवेदन करने की सुविधा प्रदान की गई है। यह एप्लीकेशन एन्ड्रायड एवं iOS दोनों प्लेटफार्म्स पर डाउनलोड हेतु उपलब्ध है। इसके अतिरिक्त मतदाता अपना नाम जोडने, संशोधन हेतु वेबसाइट ttps://voters-eci.gov.in के माध्यम से भी ऑनलाइन आवेदन कर सकते है।
  
निर्वाचक नामावली में पंजीयन से संबंधित किसी भी प्रकार की जानकारी अथवा शिकायत हेतु राज्य स्तर पर स्थापित कॉल सेन्टर 180023311950 से संपर्क स्थापित किया जा सकता है।
  
प्रदेश की मतदाता सूची को शुद्ध एवं त्रुटिरहित बनाये जाने हेतु मुख्य निर्वाचन पदाधिकारी, छत्तीसगढ़ द्वारा इस राष्ट्रव्यापी कार्यक्रम में सभी नागरिकों से सहयोग एवं अधिक से अधिक ऑनलाईन आवेदन प्रस्तुत करने की अपील की गई है।

The 7th Foundation Day of CPL Diagnostics Pvt. Ltd., a forerunner in laboratory diagnostics, was celebrated with much fanfare on Sunday, August 18th, 2024, at the Utsav Mancha Auditorium in Kankurgachi, Kolkata. June 6. It's a date that has been echoing in the realm of Indian football for the past couple of months. The defeat to Afghanistan in Guwahati in March converted this date into practically a do-or-die occasion for India. And the echoes were further amplified when Sunil Chhetri, exactly three weeks before the D-Day, announced that it would also be his R-Day — R for Retirement. After 19 years of unmatchable service to his great nation, the Indian skipper will hang his boots at the Salt Lake, amid more than 60 thousand people, who will witness the legend's last kick of the ball for India.
  

  
But Chhetri was the quickest to point out during Wednesday's pre-match press conference that the match should not be about him, but the potentially ground-breaking result awaiting Indian football.
  

  
"I'm trying really hard not to think about the game emotionally. It's not about me. I would love to win 1-0, I don't care who scores. The last 15 days have been good. I think we're on the same page in terms of fitness and that's a good headache for the coach to have," said Chhetri.
  

  
India head coach Igor Stimac also concurred with his skipper's words. The most significant thing about tomorrow will be the victory. The fact that it's Chhetri's last 90 minutes for the nation adds to the prestige of the fixture.
  

  
"Knowing that this is the last game of our captain for the national team makes this occasion much, much bigger. But of course, this is still about India winning against Kuwait. We are focussed on what we need to do. I will put it in a few words - we are ready for it," said Stimac.
  

  
India and Kuwait have met thrice in the last 12 months, twice in the SAFF Championship (1-1 in the group stage and a penalty shoot-out win for India in the final), before the Blue Tigers triumphed 1-0 in the World Cup Qualifiers in November.
  

  
"We had three tight, tough games against Kuwait," said Stimac. "Either team could've won them. I would say our best game was away in Kuwait in these qualifiers because that was perfect defensive shape, not allowing them to get near our box and create clear chances. That's what we need to repeat tomorrow, with our discipline, focus, tight marking, reaching the opposition goal and scoring the goal because that's what we need."
  

  
Scoring goals from open play has been an Achilles heel for India, who have failed to score in five of the last six matches apart from Chhetri's penalty against Afghanistan in Guwahati. In fact, India's last open-play goal came against Kuwait from Manvir Singh's left foot. But with every passing training session with goal nets bulging non-stop from finishing drills, Stimac gains more and more confidence.
  

  
"The boys have worked tremendously hard on details and for everything that is needed for this game. We're going to be absolutely ready for each scenario which awaits us," he said.
  

  
As far as India's opponents are concerned, after the end of their domestic season in the last week of May, Kuwait held a one-week camp in Bangkok before travelling to Kolkata on Tuesday night. Their Portuguese head coach Rui Bento named a 26-man squad composed entirely of players from the Kuwait Premier League.
  

  
"We expect a good game tomorrow. We know that both teams have competitive targets and the same goal. We've had a good environment in our training. We believe that more than the one week of camp in Thailand, it's about the one and a half year of us being together as a team," said Bento.
  

  
The former Portugal youth international coach believed Kuwait, ranked 139th in the world, are now in a better place than last year and can put up a better challenge against India on Thursday as compared to the last three meetings. However, the West Asians are also wary that a defeat will condemn them to the bottom two in the group and officially eliminate them from World Cup qualifying.
  

  
"Yes, we played three games against India last year. They were all very balanced and the teams were at a similar level. But all those matches are history. Football is always an ongoing process, and we are proud and confident of ourselves. The much-awaited Physical Disability Triangular T20 Trophy 2024 is set to begin on 15th March, 2024 organised by Differently Abled Cricket Council of India which was formally announced today. The trophy was revealed for the same at Taj Bengal, Kolkata.
