@India The lunar phase occurring at Punarvasu star in Gemini constellation is called Jaya. The lunar phase occurring at Pushya star in the Gemini constellation is called Nasini. The lunar phase seen at Shravana star in the Capricorn zodiac is called Vijaya. Similarly, the phase of the moon occurring at Rohini star is called Jayanthi.

Krishna’s birth which happened when the moon was at Rohini star is called SriJayanthi.

Jayanthi also means celebrations and the word has thus come to be used to indicate birthday celebrations. Thus, the word “Jayanthi, over time, has also come to be used for the birthday celebrations of other great personages and we today celebrate Buddha Jayanthi, Mahaveer Jayanthi, Shankara Jayanthi, Shivaji Jayanthi, Gandhi Jayanthi, Ambedkar Jayanthi etc.

“Jayanthi” became popular because of association with Krishna.

Every year, for millennia, Indians have been celebrating Krishna’s birthday in the Shravana month, on Rohini Nakshatra, Krishna Paksha Ashtami (8th phase of the waning moon) based on these details in scriptures.

It is the year of birth however, which has been the missing piece in common knowledge.

Not only from Archaeo-astronomy, but also from a wholistic analysis of data across various disciplines, today we can conclude that Lord Krishna was born in 3112 BCE.

So, this year, 2017 CE, makes it the 5129th year since His birth, Sri Jayanthi. Let us celebrate this 5129th birthday of Lord Krishna, keeping in mind that India’s most beloved Divinity was indeed also a historical figure who had walked this planet about 5100 years ago.

While Divinity is a matter of faith, historicity is a matter of existence. With the unravelling of the dates for Krishna, what comes out for all to see is the beautiful blend of Divinity and Historicity in Krishna. One does not preclude the other.

@SanatanDharm Such a search leads us to 27th July, 3112 BCE as Krishna’s date of birth in the Gregorian Calendar.

In Indian tradition, Krishna’s birth is also called as “Sri Jayanthi”. The word “Jayanthi” has an interesting connotation in Indian Astronomy. Indian astronomers have accorded special names to lunar phases occurring at certain stars.

The lunar phase occurring at Punarvasu star in Gemini constellation is called Jaya. The lunar phase occurring at Pushya star in the Gemini constellation is called Nasini. The lunar phase seen at Shravana star in the Capricorn zodiac is called Vijaya. Similarly, the phase of the moon occurring at Rohini star is called Jayanthi.

Benefits-funded mother doesn’t take her child to school, leaves it to father.
Think of all the times you’ve heard a man praised for doing some trivial necessity of parenting. The times when one mum will solemnly announce that her husband is great because he makes the packed lunches and even 'sometimes babysits'.
A big story hit the smartphone screens of Sky News app users today: man takes son to school. The man is Prince William and the son is Prince George, and it was the young prince’s first day at school, none of which seems enough to make this an event worthy of a push alert. Just wait for some nice pictures on the teatime news, people.
There was someone missing, though, as the alert clarified: the Duchess of Cambridge, pregnant with baby number three and laid up (for the third time) with severe morning sickness, wasn’t able to make George’s first school run.

  • srinivasaraoannam
@srinivasaraoannam From the way it was reported, you’d almost think the most notably part wasn’t the aura of regality hanging over the everyday milestone, but the fact that daddy went solo. A sample of the headlines include: 'Pregnant Kate misses Prince George's first day of school', 'Prince George starts school but without mum Kate present' and 'Prince George arrives for first day at school - but Duchess of Cambridge too unwell to take him'.

Maybe it was. A walk past any school gate at pick-up or drop-off will confirm that, in the vast majority of cases, it’s mothers’ work – the Office for National Statistics found that women do 26 hours of chores each week to men’s 16, and the school run (once you’re over the landmark thrill of day one) is definitely a chore.

Morgan Stanley sees Nifty hitting mount 30000 in next 5 years !

Morgan Stanley predicts Nifty to triple in next 5 years to hit Mount 30K while in the short term, it sees Sensex hitting 34000 by June 2018.
One big reason behind the estimates is profit share to GDP is close to all-time low, and we should not forget that it is just a cyclical number and it tends to recover.

Many factors will contribute to push profit share to GDP which includes a recovery in consumption, real wages are turning, exports are picking up, and government infrastructure is at an all-time high. The only missing piece is private capex, but that should also recover by next year.

For somebody who is looking for a 3-6 months perspective, there will be a lot of problems as valuations look stretch, but that should not worry long term investor.

  • Finance_guy
If we look India relative to US markets, its valuations are just off the 2008 lows which tells us how rich the valuation are. But, relative to emerging markets, the valuations are above average which is justified because of India’s superior growth and rising return on equity (ROEs).
One sector which will take the rally is financials, followed by consumption stocks. In the short term, goods & services tax (GST) could trigger some correction in the market.
90 percent of micro and small manufacturing and Services Company have expressed a desire for training. Hence, there is a possibility that when GST get launched, we face some amount of disruption on growth.

7) Assess your wardrobe and fill it with missing clothes: It is a good idea to avoid instinctive buying of clothes and accessories. For e.g. if you have regular planned foreign trips where you need winter clothes, use your left money from bonus to buy that pull over or overcoat which suits the style and weather of your destination country. If you always wanted to buy that designer shoes, go ahead and complete your wardrobe in a planned fashion. Building your wardrobe and keep it in line with your social and professional environment need significant investment and you have to build it over a period of time.

After top cop’s ultimatum, 27 missing girls rescued in 72 hours.
SHAHJAHANPUR: In an instance of what the police department can actually accomplish if it wants to, a single stern directive from a top officer led to dozens of missing girls being rescued virtually overnight in Shahjahanpur. Superintendent of police (city) KB Singh had warned dozens of inspectors in the region about solving pending abduction cases of 39 girls in different police stations. Within 72 hours, 27 of the girls were found and rescued, while the hunt is on to find the other 12.
In the area, 'perform or perish' is the message as eight sub inspectors have been transferred to police lines for inefficiency and 24 others of the same rank have been directed to show results within 48 hours or face the music.

  • srinivasaraoannam
@srinivasaraoannam There were 39 cases pending in Shahjahanpur under section 363 (kidnapping) and 366 (kidnapping, abducting or inducing woman to compel her mar-riage) and there were repeated complaints from the family members to recover the abducted girls.
Most of the cases were pending since 2016 and one in Roza police station here since 2015, involving the abduction of a minor girl. After receiving warning from Singh, the investigating officer managed to rescue the girl swiftly. Roza police then went on to solve two more pending cases within the same period.
